the weekend's football action started tonight at the st andrews where birmingham city beat struggling middlesborough 2—1. teenager odin bailey got the winner with his first goal for the club in the 90th minute. the win sees birmingham jump to 12th in the table while boro stay in 20th, just four points off the drop zone. plenty of prmeier league action tomorrow ahead of the international break next week and for brendan rogers, well it'll be a return to some familiar ground as the former liverpool boss heads to anfield, this time heading up third—placed leicester city. liverpool are unbeaten in the league, but rogers has been praised for his side's form so far this season. rogers admits he has fond memories of his time at liverpool and the experience helped develop his skills. i'm looking forward to going back. had the great privilege of managing one of the iconic clubs in the world.
