"fox & friends" begins right now. all right. let's get to the fox news alert right now. isis threatening more attacks across the world today, including here in the united states. november 22nd. they're targeting specifically a wwe event in atlanta. this comes a little more than a week after the deadly paris terror attacks. >> and this morning belgium remains on maximum terror alert as the manhunt for suspected terrorist attacker salah abdeslam intensifies. >> we have team coverage. greg palkot is live in paris. first let's check in with garrett tenney in d.c. with more on the threat here at home in atlanta. good morning, garrett.

>> good morning. yesterday isis released another in what's become a string of propaganda videos since the paris attack suggesting that additional attacks could be possible. and this only adds to the already high level of anxiety for law enforcement officials who say they are taking every threat seriously. evidence of this is a report by a group affiliated with the online activist anonymous yesterday saying it had uncovered several planned attacks by isis on indonesia, italy, lebanon, as well as here in the u.s. the alleged target here was a wwe pay-per-view event tonight in atlanta, georgia. a larger, more well-known twitter account of anonymous later said it wasn't aware of the threat. tweeting, we did not spread any rumors about possible future isis attacks, and, frankly, we do not know where the rumors come from. the fbi isn't taking any chances, though, and released a statement saying, in part, the fbi is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an atlanta, georgia, venue and event.

while we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. we have made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe. local law enforcement, and security there at the venue are planning to step up the security measures at the event tonight out of an abundance of caution, they say. back to you all. >> garrett tenney, thanks for that information in washington. obviously everyone here at home on high alert. the terror threats also shutting down the city of brussels for a second straight day. the manhunt intensifies for the world's most wanted fugitive. >> let's get out to greg palkot, live in paris covering that end of the story. greg, good morning. >> hey, folks. brussels remains in lockdown today. once again, a state of emergency throughout that city. officials now saying they're worried about a paris-style attack there. a thousand extra troops have been deployed across that city.

the belgian capital, as well as armed vehicles moving around the streets. authorities say that they are on guard for several people, armed with guns and explosives, wanting to hit several locations. sounds a lot like paris. this as the search continues there for salah abdeslam, the so-called eighth attacker in paris. it's believed he fled to belgium, and the new word we're getting today, he would love to be with his isis friends in syria. maybe that's not going to be possible. this amid brand-new reports we're getting in paris that french authorities are now looking for a ninth attacker in that terrorist spree. turns out there could be another person who had shot up the cafes, leaving dozens dead, scenes of carnage. finally, french president hollande will have a very busy week ahead. he will meet with president obama in washington on tuesday, russian president putin in moscow on thursday, as well as leaders of the european union, and turkey. all of this, trying to regain, bolster, and intensify the

international fight against isis. that's over in syria, iraq, and all around the world. back to you guys. >> greg palkot with all the breaking details in paris. >> the question back here at home this morning, how do you defeat isis? there have been calls, of course, the president to step up and say and deliver a plan on what we are going to do to try to stop isis. we heard reports on the very day of the paris attack, stepped-up efforts to go after the oil infrastructure, of course. the big money fields that they are able to sell to third party vendors and make all kinds of money. >> millions of dollars a day. >> hitting these oil lines and truck convoys. now the president in malaysia yesterday says we are going to take down -- just actually a few hours ago, so there yesterday -- today. but overnight. this is what the president just said. listen. >> prejudice and discrimination helps isil and undermines our national security. so even as we destroy isil on the battlefield, and we will

destroy them, destroying isil is not only a realistic goal, we're going to get it done, and we're going to pursue it with every aspect of american power, and with all the coalition partners that we assembled. it's going to get done. >> does that mean that we'll have boots on the ground? >> no. he has indicated no. >> but every aspect would cover, you would think -- >> it should. it would. it could. but doesn't right now. i mean you make a good point. and i think that's going to be the question for the president. what other specifics of this strategy? he's trying to do some cleanup work because the previous news conference on his trip to asia a few days ago he basically said the strategy is working. now we're hearing we're intensifying things, we're really stepping it up, because his strategy is clearly not working. >> even on the day of the attacks he said we contained them. they were contained. >> that was just a few hours before the attacks unfolded. >> meanwhile donald trump making headlines over the past few days talking about going after isis and bombing them wherever they

are. he also, though, last night in birmingham, alabama, had the crowd on its feet, talking about something that -- he mentioned here at the top, is going to be controversial. we'll play this tape and get your assessment of it. listen. >> we have a situation where isis has raised its ugly head again. and we got to chop off that head like they're chopping off the heads of our people. i want surveillance of these people. i want surveillance, if we have to, and i don't care. i want, are you ready for this, folks? are you ready? oh, they're going to make it such a big deal. they're going to make it so big. he said something so politically incorrect. that's why we're going to hell, because we're so politically incorrect. such a big deal. such a big deal. i want surveillance of certain mosques. okay? if that's okay. i want surveillance. and you know what? we've had it before, and we'll have it again.

>> i have to tell you, since the paris terror attacks, and all the subsequent happenings, i've had friends that initially said donald trump is the biggest joke. these -- several of these people have switched into his -- into his cheering section. because they do -- they do feel like he would be the strongest person when it comes to dealing with isis. >> but he's not without criticism on this. his rival jeb bush coming out the other day accusing trump of fear mongering on this issue with the database issue. and number two i think the same question we were just saying about president obama, okay, you're going to defeat isis. finally, after all this time. how are you going to do it, mr. president? we've got to ask donald trump. how are you going to do it? to just keep saying we're going to bomb the heck out of them. the u.s. under president obama has been unleashing a lot of airstrikes. and every military analyst we have who comes on here, yesterday, and we're going to have more on today, say that's not enough. so what else will you do? >> even in the wake of 9/11 there were surveillance of mosques, and donald trump talked about that. he said we've been doing this under ray kelley here in new

york city. >> and he's come on to the local fox station where i work monday through friday and said definitively, this is the type of thing that did not need to go away. we need to continue to do this. >> but there is this, from that corner of the republican party, there are those who are defending president george w. bush in one of his most famous speeches of his presidency, to the islamic center right after 9/11. saying that this is not an attack on -- we have to separate radical islam from islam. and he heard from, obviously, many republicans, and said that was one of the defining moments of his presidency. have we shifted, though? is donald trump taking it too far? jeb bush seems to think so. ted cruz seems to think so. >> we can ask him. he'll be joining us in the 8:00 hour, so make sure you stay tuned for that. >> there's also a video going viral overnight of an african-american man, a black lives matters protester, who appears to have gotten roughed up, if you look at the video. we'll ask mr. trump about that. it's causing a little bit of a controversy online.

>> donald trump coming up. >> let's do some bomb scare forcing a flight from flock to turkey to make an emergency landing overnight. the turkish airlines plane landed safely in nova scotia, two hours after leaving jfk. all 256 people on board were safe. canadian police say bomb sniffing dogs found no sign of explosives, but they will continue investigating the source of the threat. and some brand-new video to show you. shows the desperate measures people took to stay alive in the horrifying mali hotel attack. people pushed mattresses and couches against doors, hiding from al qaeda affiliated militants for more than seven hours. this as the terrorists stormed the luxury radisson hotel armed with ak-47s, taking nearly 200 people hostage. they timed the siege for right after morning prayers when security was short. shattered lamps and dishes covered floors, showing scenes of struggle. at least 20 people died in that attack, including one american. 41-year-old public health advocate anita datar. surprising result in the louisiana governor's race,

democrat john bell edwards upset the once heavily favored preb giving the democrats the first statewide victory since 2008. he'll finish bobby jindal's gubernatorial term. and number nine michigan state beats defending champs ohio state. the game-winning 41-yard field goal hit with three seconds left. spartans win 17-14. oklahoma state undefeated no more. the baylor bears take down the cowboys 45-35, likely ending oklahoma state's playoff hopes. and lsu loses its third game in a row. ole miss beat the tigers 38-17, quarterback chad kelly leading the way with four touchdowns for the rebels. >> who won that game? ole miss? i think there's a fox anchor -- >> yeah. >> maybe. >> also celebrating, rick. >> he's always celebrating. >> rick standing by. >> big weather going on. >> yeah, big snow in chicago. >> big snow.

monitoring possible terror threats all across the globe. at home the fbi taking a threat against atlanta seriously. and overseas, brussels remains on lockdown. with authorities warning of multiple attacks, possibly on the way. and that comes on the heels of the attacks in paris, of course, a week ago that killed 130 innocent people. since those attacks, americans have increased their support for sending u.s. troops abroad to fight isis. a new abz/"washington post" poll finds this this morning. 60% of americans support an increase in boots on the ground. but what does that all mean? one man who has been calling for an increase is former ambassador to iraq and turkey and deputy national security adviser to president george w. bush, james jeffrey. nice to see you this morning. welcome to the show. >> thank you for having me on. >> are you surprised by that poll that more americans could stomach sending ground troops into a middle east war? >> i was a little bit surprised, because of our recent experiences. and i sympathize with the americans. i was a soldier sent to vietnam some 45 years ago.

i know how serious a decision this is. but the isis threat is even more serious. >> interesting, dr. jeffrey, you've been ahead of the curve on this. back in march you said the president's mideast policies were, quote, in a g.d. -- want to be careful sunday morning, in a g.d. free-fall. where are we when we look at the fact that president hollande of france after these horrific attacks will be going to the white house on tuesday, but then later in the week going to see the russian president vladimir putin. is the power shifting here with russia taking the lead and not the u.s.? >> well, that's one of the things. i would say we're no longer in free-fall. we've hit the ground and we've hit it really hard. what president hollande is doing in going to putin he isn't seeking military capabilities that putin has and that we don't. we have 20 times the power of putin in the middle east. it's an area where we have huge bases, and police and everything else. but putin is willing to use force aggressively. that's what hollande wants to see. so he's, in a way, putting us under pressure by indicating that he can also go to russia.

but this is so bad, russia and iran, its new ally, forming a security belt in the middle east is almost as dangerous as isis. at least for the region. >> you heard the president just a short time ago, just overnight, he's in malaysia, he said this, he said we're going to destroy isil on the battlefield and we will destroy them. destroying isil is not only realistic, we're going to get it done. we're going to pursue with every aspect of american power, it's going to get done. do you buy that? >> i buy that he feels under a lot of pressure. we've seen things from attacking oil trucks to putting special forces on the ground, the raid in hawijah to rescue prisoners a couple of weeks ago. but it's still incremental. and the problem is that gives the enemy the chance to react to it. he has to hit them with everything now as hard as possible, or the next president will have to put a lot more boots on the ground. >> ambassador jeffrey, i've got 30 seconds. what is that number, then? the president throws out what his critics say is a straw man

that we can't send 100,000 u.s. troops back to a mideast war. is it 10,000? is it 20,000? when you say we need to use all of our might give our viewers a ball park. >> general keane, who i much respect testified a few days ago, we need about 10,000 troops on the ground. he said two brigades. that is in combat, not support troops, about 10,000 troops, too, as a possible reinforcement if we need them. i'd say in the ball park of between 10,000 and 20,000. >> that's on the ground in syria. >> that's on the ground between syria and iraq, including some support. >> all right. we appreciate it this morning. ambassador jeffrey, serious times and you're bringing very sharp analysis to it. we appreciate you joining us this morning. >> thank you. >> terrifying moments caught on camera meanwhile. college student is shot trying to protect a woman. we'll have an update on his condition, next. plus triple trouble with schools, an ivy league university comparing the gop to jihadi john. and two middle school assignments on isis and islam. what in the world is happening at our schools?

>> let's start with a story you broke at cornell. what in the world is a social justice event and how can they justify likening the gop to jihadi john? explain that. >> well, the justification is the most outrageous part. yeah, so at cornell university, they put on in the veteran labor relations department a sort of labor roundtable for students to get to the and talk about social justice and featured art from these cartoonists that are big in the labor movement. obviously this event was sponsored by the teamsters, by a lot of union-based organizations. and they put up artwork all across the room, that featured things like the gop elephant sexually assaulting a woman. and most offensively, the gop as jihadist john in his black clothes garb with an innocent man standing next to him and the elephant is holding out a knife presumably about to behead this man. the university's response was that this is supposed to expand

dialogue, tolerate an acceptance in the university community. >> yeah, i mean -- >> how? >> this is outrageous so much so it's sunday morning. we're not going to show you the sexually assaulting gop elephant, by the way, on national television. i want to give their response which you just said. cornell's dean of industrial and labor relations said this, kevin holik said this year's display again includes some strong images. he said a few of which have proposed complaints but art can sometimes shock and be controversial. is that a sufficient response? >> absolutely not. look, free speech must be protected. and we must protect that free speech. but here's the important thing, nothing wrong with him being rational and coming out and saying, look, in light of 130 people being viciously murdered in paris this last week, we're not going to allow probably half of the cornell students, who consider themselves to be republicans, conservative, to be likened to jihadist john and isis. it's absolutely unacceptable. >> we heard the other story about the utah school, of

course, using -- having the students create propaganda posters for people to join isis as a classroom exercise, how would you develop propaganda posters and also the lyrics at another school in california, middle school, having the kids sing about the spread of islam, switching up the fight song lyrics, talking about god, and creating explosions like a sandstorm in the desert, sending camels into motion, like how a single face can make a heart open. i'm not singing this, i'm actually reading this. they might only have one god but they can make an explosion. those were the lyrics. what is going on, caleb? obviously parents were upset about this when they learned about it. >> yeah, there's two big things here. number one, in california, the school that is, and this teacher forced her seventh grade students to sing this pro-islam song. this song, if you actually look at the lyrics, and i encourage all the viewers to google these lyrics, they include things like who cares if jews or christians don't believe in allah, we must spread islam. and that, you know, islam fight

on maximum alert as an international manhunt continues for the world's most wanted fugitive tied to the paris attacks. friends say salah abdeslam the eighth attacker who ran to brussels after the attack and he is now reportedly hiding there, telling people he'd, quote, love to be with isis, his isis friends in syria. paris police believe there may have been a ninth attacker. ed? >> despite all this, the u.s. is not on any sort of terror alert. in fact the national terrorism advisory system has not issued any asserts since it started in 2011. how much does the public know about terror threats and how much of a responsibility does the government have to tell us? here to discuss former new york director of homeland security, former secret service agent and former fbi of the joint terror task force and retired lieutenant commander with the office of naval intelligence. good morning, kind of sort through fact and fiction right now. americans waking up to severe threats all around the world. michael, what do people need to know this morning? >> terrorism is meant to

terrorize, and so they're going to put out propaganda. they want to spread their message. and what i would say is that if they're going to attack, they're not going to give any warning. so they're not going to come at you, they're not going to tell you pay attention, we're going to attack here. so when you have these types of propaganda, guy across the world in a mask saying don't shop at the mall of america, that's kind of ridiculous. what the united states and department of homeland security needs to contextualize the threat but make sure you always support the folks on the ground. >> evey what about the fact, i feel like when this hacktivist anon mist says they may be planning to attack the wwe event tonight in atlanta, that could be good for people to know about, and on the other hand, is it a bad thing that this kind of potential intelligence information is getting out there for the world to see? should this be handled behind closed doors by the professionals? >> it should be. you know, the thing is i get wanting to put that message out there and warning the public. but you also have to think of the consequences, the chaos and fear that happens when you warn the public, don't go here, don't go there, because now we're

feeding into terrorism itself. but also from an operational security standpoint you're showing your hand. law enforcement doesn't want to show their hand. often cases in law enforcement we would know things and yes, maybe in some sense you want to tell the public but you're thinking if i tell the public, who is the public? it's everybody. it's the people we're fighting. you don't want them to know what you know. >> steve, right now it's happening in a broader context. all of these terror threats. i'm walking through the streets of new york city the last couple of days, you go through rockefeller center, there's not the normal police presence. there's more police thankfully and they also have larger weapons you notice. everyone is taking this seriously. but these police officers in new york city and around the country, are also dealing with the fact that they're under siege in some communities, being accused of brutality, and whatnot. and what does that do for the folks on the front lines? >> look, we may be entering into a phase of this war, unlike anything we've ever seen in the history of this country. the first defense against terrorism are the police on the streets. when i hear politicians say we got your back, they better have their back. police officers are very

reluctant at times to get involved, because of, "a," they're going to be charged with racial profiling. "b," the distractions with all these protests going on is emboldening the enemy. so the message to cops has to be from the top down, we've got your back. let them do their job, and they'll do it well. >> yeah, are we next? when you look at what's been happening, mali, paris, all the talk about well there could be more attacks throughout europe, is the u.s. the next target, though? >> two threats. one, it's typical organization where you're resourcing. we're very strong from that perspective. much stronger than a lot of the european countries. border security, the ways we do background checks. is it per next? no, but we're much stronger. so the rule of thumb is they're going to attack when they have an opportunity to succeed. what the real threat i think here is, immediately, is are the folks who are already here, you know, the folks who are inspired but not instructed necessarily. the folks who get off the couch and say, i'm going to go to draw the prophet -- >> become radicalized. >> and get involved.

they're so hard to track, because they have no footprint in the security field. >> evy, got to know you when you worked in secret service. president obama decided the color coded system did not work. maybe he was right, maybe he was wrong. there is a system in place, that the government whether they use colors or not, could warn the public. what should the government be doing right now? right now it appears it's sort of scattered news reports. we're saying this might happen, that might happen. this happened yesterday but the government is not giving us a united, unified here's what you should be thinking about. should they be telling us something specific? >> sometimes they don't know. because you have to understand that the chatter that's coming in, the noise that's coming in all the time. it's nonstop. so you're sitting there trying to figure out, this is what they're trying to do. the government's trying to figure out is this leng it? is this not legit? is this noise? what is it? every time you get something you have to figure out do i put this out there? what are the consequences of putting this out there? the system and the color coded system was just too vague, it was subjective trying to figure

out what should be yellow, this color, that color. i think they have their hands full. and i think as the public we want to know what's going on but we also have to put trust in the government. they're making these decisions for the benefit of all of us. and to kind of piggyback what you said with law enforcement, like there's a lot of negativity, in law enforcement, but when things go bad that's who's going to be there to help us. even speaking to my former colleagues in law enforcement, right now they're a little bit of the laissez-faire attitude. unless things break big i'm not getting involved. being in law enforcement and even having insurance for being -- >> bottom line for you, you served in the fbi joint terror task force right in the middle of it. are we safer now than we were after 9/11? is there a bigger threat now? what's the bottom line? >> bottom line is i believe because of the fbi, and our intelligence agencies, we haven't suffered a catastrophic attack. but at that time, at that point in time, we had the president of the united states and the congress and every political figure backing the law enforcement community and the military community. the problem we have now, is that there's so much fragmentation

let's talk about this with fox news religion contributor father jonathan morris who joins us. >> good morning. >> a charade? >> well, you know, a lot of popes, previously, would be more nuanced about that, well it's not really a charade because jesus died, there is heaven, there is a possible of paradise. pope francis is less nuanced, let's put it that way, and we're talking about it because of that. and he has a point. it can be misunderstood buthas . that is, we're celebrating christmas. the prince of peace. god amongst us. and yet, there is so much division, hate, there's so much anger, there's so much poverty, there's so many people left out of the possibility for prosperity this morning, before coming, i had to help two guys coming off the steps of my church, who were sleeping. they don't have a place to sleep. or yesterday, a woman came to me from my parish, this is in the bronx, who's trying because we had to close the list of turkeys that we give out to people in

neighborhood because we just didn't have any more turkeys to give. a single mom. that makes you pause in terms of celebration of christmas. as if everything were okay. does that make sense? >> it does. but what do you think, then, pope francis wants us to do when he says it's a charade. he means just the celebration, the decoration, focus on what really matters? >> focus on what matters. also, do what we can to make a difference in this world. he was specifically referring to everything that's going on internationally. the syrian refugee crisis. the war in the middle east, so many very real problems, genocide of christians in the middle east. a lot, a lot of suffering, or in the ukraine, so many places around the world. >> i know that you're not best buddies with the pope, but i mean you're aware of his personality and, you know, who he is as a man and i guess we kind of all are. those words that he that he that he said that seem to be, you know, getting everybody talking,

charade, things like that, did it -- did it surprise you that he said it like that, though? i mean -- >> except that he -- except that the only surprising thing about pope francis is that he's always surprising. you know, the only unsurprising thing is that he's always surprising. he's full of surprises. because he's learned how to cut through i think some of the theological talk in order to reach people, in a way that they can understand, that we can understand. he made me think, by saying that. when i was with these homeless men early this morning, i thought of what he said about christmas being a charade. and i thought, what am i going to do? i don't even have the -- i don't know what i'm going to do with these guys. they don't want to be in a shelter. but they're going to tend up in a shelter. we have to do something about the situation in in other words we can't go and be there christmas morning, open gifts, hoping we get the perfect thing, celebrating as if the world were all okay. >> be the change you want to see in the world.

additional attacks. this past week, the online hack group, anonymous declared war on isis and has been working to take down websites and social media used by the terrorists. yesterday an affiliate of anonymous reported it had uncovered several planned attacks by isis on indonesia, italy, lebanon, as well as here in the u.s. the alleged target, a wwe pay-per-view event tonight in atlanta. several larger, more established twitter accounts of anonymous have come out saying they aren't aware of the threats tweeting this. we did not spread any rumors about future isis attacks and frankly, we don't know where the rumors come from. the fbi says it is aware -- it isn't aware of any specific threats. it is aware of rumors and it isn't taking any chances. a statement reads in part, the fbi is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an atlanta, georgia venue and event. while we take all threats

anybody, it better be under the constitutional protocol and mandates that require having a warrant and some probable cause. you can't just put a microphone, the government can't, just can't put a microphone on every citizen and say we're listening. that's as scary as it is to think that isis would be coming after us. >> governor, on that point, since you cite the american constitution, the seeking of the american dream here, isn't america also about welcoming in refugees, people who are in the middle of a civil war in syria who have no hope and nowhere to go? >> of course it is, seth. but we also have a responsibility to protect the american people from people slipping in under the guise of being a refugee. i suggested from the beginning and it seems like most of the other candidates are following the lead. make that refugee camp in the middle east. put it close to where these people are fleeing from. provide some assistance with

food and shelter and safety and security so their women aren't being raped. to wholesale open the doors without a proper vetting which the fbi and cia director says we simply can't do even though obama says we can. but this is the same president who told us that obamacare was going to save us money and we could keep our doctor and insurance and find out what happened in benghazi and he'd fix the irs. i'm sorry, his credibility is shot. there is none. i do take the fbi director seriously. i don't think this is a good time for america to import terrorism unbeknownst to us. >> governor, let's dive into more specifics on what we could do with isis. earlier on our program, i'm not sure you were up this early, we talked to the former ambassador to iraq under president obama. he had said that 10,000 was the number that he saw as potential ground forces, two bringing aids. general jack keane believed that was a number to go into iraq to

tackle isis. where do you come down on perhaps a specific number of ground troops the u.s. would have to send in. >> i would take jack keen's word. he's one of the heroes of the country. he's a brilliant military strategist. i'd listen to people like jack keane and ask what we need. let's define the mission. let's decide, what is it we're going to get done? if it's to crush isis. let's make that the goal and don't go in with the footprint. let's go in with the heaviest footprint we can, squish this bug all over the middle east and all over the world and be done with it. another analogy i've often used and i'm hearing it now from almost everyone, this is not a benign tumor. this is a malignant tumor. you have to eradicate it and radiate the area around it to

mccain and you don't want to give the enemy the entire plan, but president obama would say he's been bombing isis as well. is that really enough? >> well, senator mccain has been working on this war for 12 years, 14, 15 years, all these guys. i watched lindsey graham, totally wrong concept. he wants to be a tough guy. he's not a tough guy. look at what's happening to him in the polls. he has zero. they're not tough guys. you have to be smart and know what you're doing. i've been saying to you people, for two years bomb the oil. they started doing it a couple days ago. i'm saying keep the oil, but they should have done that you wouldn't have had isis. they got their wealth from the oil. most of their wealth from the oil. i've been saying two years, maybe more than that, i actually said keep the oil when they were going out, when obama announced the date with -- one of the dumbest things in military history, when he announced the date we're leaving on a certain date so the enemy pulled back, waited for that date and now do whatever they want to do.

i've been saying bomb the oil, take the oil for a long time. you wouldn't have isis if they listened to me in the first place. guys like mccain and guys like lindsey graham, they don't know what they're doing. i mean honestly, they've been fighting this war for so long and, you know, they talk like tough guys, but their plan is totally wrong. i listed on to their plan. their plan is totally wrong. so you've got to get a group together, it's got to be a very strong group, you got to go in and just take these people out. these are bad dudes and we have to take them out and take them out fast and strong and we can't mess around. you want to do it with a coalition because you do need boots on the ground. and you have people over there like the kurds, those are the people that were, i don't know, everything that i see, they're the ones that want to fight. they seem to be the most reliable fighters. we give so much -- we give billions of dollars of equipment to military equipment to people that run away with it, that run away as soon as the bullet is fired in the air and the enemy takes over. the enemy has better equipment than we do.

country like nothing happened. one of the other things i do, once they leave our country to fight for isis they never come back. it's over. it's over. and this is even beyond the wall. we're going to build the wall. that crowd went crazy yesterday when i said build the wall. we will have borders and real borders and they will be it tough and strong and people are going to come in, but they're going to come in legally. once somebody, this is so important, juliet, once somebody leaves our country to fight for isis, because they've been seduced on the internet -- the internet, these guys using the internet better than we do, we have to get smart people to use the internet and social media, because they're taking a lot of people unsuspecting youth, that frankly doesn't know what they're doing, and they go to fight for isis and then want to come back home and we take them home. you can't run a -- you cannot run a country dumber than what we're running and then talk about the president that says, everything is contained and then a few hours later the whole world blows up. >> you've been leading the polls, continue to dominate the

polls on the republican side. people are wondering how would you match up against the person who's dominating the democratic polls. hillary clinton, david axelrod the president's long-time adviser had this to say, quote, i believe he would be defeated handedily against hilly because of his anti-immigrant rants have left him with negatives among hispanic americans approaching 80%. i would add so that yesterday at that large rally you had, there's video going viral of an african-american protester from black lives matter who appears to have gotten roughed up. we don't know who did it, whether it was supporters, security, can you comment on that and whether or not you want to remedy that situation and react to david axelrod saying you are going to lose a general election? >> first of all, with axelrod, of course he's going to say that. polls are showing i would beat here easily. you've seen the polls and putting them on, in many of the key states i'm killing hillary, beating her easily. hillary is highly overrated. she doesn't have the strength or the stamina to be president in

my opinion. she's not strong enough and she doesn't have any stamina whatsoever. you need a lot of stamina to be the proper president or we're going to have another four years or eight years of -- if she can make it, you're going to have another four years of trauma for this country. our country is going down. we're being laughed at all over the world. axelrod is going to say that. axelrod is the one that i called up a number of years ago when i saw a bad looking -- they were having a state dinner, saw a bad looking tent, disgusting looking tent for state dinner for china, honoring china, even though china is ripping our pockets out, they were honoring china. i called up and said i would build a ballroom at the white house for $100 million, and i will get it built, it will be vetted, magnificent, you'll go through five different architectural firms hopefully all from the united states, pick something beautiful, i will build it free of charge to the united states. he said oh, well, we can't do that. so, you know, this is a guy who wouldn't take $100 million gift,

this coming just days after the house voted in an overwhelming majority, as lot of democrats as well, by the way, to stop the program. here to react is the host of "fox news sunday" chris wallace. good morning to you. the president had a news conference today, also saying he does have a plan to defeat isis and he's not going to be backing down amid all of these threats. he seemed to be doing cleanup work after the news conference a few days ago where he insisted the strategy is working when a lot might not believe that. >> i was going to say, if he's got a plan it would be nice if he shared it with us and shared it with isis. what you seem to be hearing is, we're going to do more of the same. maybe we'll do a little bit more of the same, but no dramatic escalation in a military sense, no-fly zone, no boots on the ground, you can argue whether that's right or wrong, but it seems pretty clear that current strategy isn't working. the president just 24 hours before the attack in paris said isis had been contained. and now they have shown a

muscular international component where they're taking down a russian airliner, where they're slaughtering 130 people in paris, where they have the belgium capital of brussels on lockdown. if that's containment what does isis on the match looks like. >> you heard our interview a moment ago with donald trump the gop frontrunner who was -- is doubling down, you heard him on our show, doubling down on surveillance of mosques here and he says they have to get a warrant, fine, earlier on the show governor huckabee challenged him on that and said that he likes the constitution and doesn't want it trampled on. what did you make of donald's comments doubling down on the surveillance of mosques? >> it's interesting, because he has obviously risen and got his first big boost when he took on illegal immigration in this country and a lot of people thought he was overly harsh but clearly his talk about we're going to have a border, going to enforce it, going to force alls the people in this country

why is the obama administration deadset on taking in refugees here? joining us now to weigh in is the major general matthew horner, distinguished chair of military theory, marine corps university. good morning. i want to be fair and note these air conditioned tents are used for at least a few days a year for pilgrims on their way to mecca to stop and stay in the tents, but that means that more than 300 days of year they're sitting empty like they are right now, doctor, should saudi arabia be taking in refugees? >> look, for all kinds of reasons, ed, it just makes no sense what is happening right now. think about it, we have poor nations in the region, we have jordan, we have turkey, that together have taken more than 3 million refugees from this conflict and then we have rich nations like the uae and saudi, who have taken less than 100,000. even that cannot be confirmed

because they don't release their data to the united nations. think about the idea, we are promoting the concept of moving people 10,000 miles to a country that can't vet them, that has security services that don't speak their language, versus the idea of sending them or pushing them into areas where they have their fellow co-religionists, the saudis, for example, the emiratis who speak their language, have a much better way to screen whether or not they're good guys or bad guys, and who have a lot more money like countries like turkey or jordan. the rationale is completely upside down. >> help us understand why is saudi arabia and the uae not taking them in? are they scared about the potential security risks as some in america are? are they being bad citizens saying stay out of my country? what's the justification? >> i'm not sure i'm in a

position to talk for these governments. i think it's probably a combination of various things, but i think the fear of potentially what could happen, but i think it's more than that. look at hows these countries actually -- what their attitudes are to immigrants. look at all the stories we hear about the abuse of people who go there to work. i don't think from the get-go, they have a very healthy attitude to people from the outside, even if they're, you know, fellow muslims or arabs. i think it's possibly a cultural as well as a political answer to this. >> we've got 30 seconds. if not these tents in saudi arabia, donald trump was just on the show saying the refugees should be housed somewhere in that region, as you suggested, instead of taking them 10,000 miles to america. 30 seconds, is there a reasonable plan you can think of to keep them in the region, keep them safe, screen them properly but not bring them to america? >> there are things in place

welcome back. 8:52 on the east coast. protests about how minority students are treated continue on college campuses across the country. the most recent at clairmont mckenna in southern california where the student-run newspaper created what's called essentially a safe section solely for minorities, people of color, they say. the editorial board writing, for those who don't feel all the messages of solidarity are enough or feel the mainstream media is misguided in representing people of color we would like to repurpose its influence by providing a safe space in next week's issue for students of color to voice their experiences. has this school funded paper gone too far. join us to weigh in is the publisher of the clairmont independent and a junior at pomona college, steven. good to have you here. >> thanks for having me. >> all right. usually on college campuses especially you think about inclusion, everybody being one. you don't look at color. that's not supposed to be what happens there on college come

campuses but now -- campu now they're creating a barrier to fight racism, although in some people's eyes it seems like it's just creating, you know, an us and them it type of situation. how did you feel about this? >> it's clearly a divisive issue on campus the protests going on and the way they've been handled. we had the dean of clairmont mckenna college forced to res n resign, the junior class president forced to resign as well and it's an issue students have been divided on. it's something where, you know, at a school of 1200 students for clairmont mckenna college, a letter signed by 300 students in criticism of the protests was sent out, clearly it's something the student body is divided and with the school paper, school funded, connected to all the students, they're designed to be a representative of the entire student body, they're supposed to be neutral, nonpartisan, so for them to take a stand and side with one group on this issue i think is really not

within the boundaries of what that paper should be trying to accomplish with their opinion section. >> your paper is an independent paper, different from this paper. what have you said and done to counter act this? >> when the protests were going on, with the things at yale and the university of missouri as well, our paper gained a lot of grournds wh ground when we were the first ones to speak out against the movements going on and criticize some of the tactics the protesters have used. so what we did was sort of start that movement going. the first ones to speak out. many students followed in our footsteps as i spapds 300 students -- 300 students approximately signed on to a letter essentially stating the same concerns we had. i think we've started kind of a counter protest movement against some of the tactics that these protesters around the country are using. >> are you hearing from minorities? do you have minorities writing for your paper? >> yes. absolutely.

interestingly enough, our -- one of our associate editors who's latino was at one of the safe spaces following the protests he had many friends involved, he was not planning to make any controversial statements, just going to be a supportive friend, and he was asked to leave. he didn't, again, say anything that could in any way be considered controversial, he just went to be friendly and asked to leave because of his conservative opinions and his affiliation with our paper. so really, the safe spaces are very much an ideological shield where students can just claim that they feel unsafe because of someone's presence and have them escorted out. >> right. a coffee house had a safe space. the motley sitting room open from 6:00 to 10:00 for people of color and allies they invite. interesting language. we appreciate that. we continue to follow the story and let us know if there are updates. >> thank you so much. >> thank you. brand new fox polls will be out in just a couple minutes.

to the fbi, which released a statement saying in part, the fbi is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an atlanta, georgia venue and event, while we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. this past week anonymous announced it was declaring war on isis and since then, many of the groups or affiliates have been working to take the terrorist group off-line attacking its websites and social media accounts but the reports of alleged attack plots apparently caught several of the larger and more established anonymous groups as well. one account tweeting we did not spread any rumors about possible future isis attacks and frankly we do not know where the rumors come from. security has been stepped up at the event, though, out of an abundance of caution local officials say, but again, both local, state and federal officials all saying they are not currently aware of any credible threats. ed, clayton and juliet.

counterinsurgency. we are not trying to win hearts and minds against isis. this is a war. so we must use the same rules of engagement, this is the answer to why, that we used in desert storm and ""operation iraqi freedom."" we must destroy isis as quickly as possible. we need to be flying 1200 sordes a day and have continuous 24/7 air power over both western iraq and eastern syria and we can defeat isis in weeks. the rules of engagement must change. we must accept the collateral damage in accordance with the international law of war, which we can do, and we'll do feet them quickly. nothing should be moving over there. the oil facilities should be destroyed. their command and control. it finally took the russians that they did it yesterday, to hit the isis headquarters which is a huge building in the center

of raqqah, they finally did it. we have not done this for 16 months. >> knowing full well that we needed to. first of all, i want to read you something that general keen said. he said obama's response, when we talked about doing these air strikes and bombing these targets, he said, no, no, you don't understand, i want no civilian casualties. zero. he reiterated that point over and over again. when dealing with somebody who is saying this, the president of our country, as these pilots in the military they're kind of handcuffed. what are they to do? >> not kind of, they are handcuffed. jack keane is absolutely spot-on. until we change these rules of engagement we are only going to let isis metastasize which they have. we should make it so no onecali. we should do the things that we

have done in every air campaign before this administration and do it very decisively and we are not. >> do we send soldiers over there? do we have more boots on the ground besides the 50 special forces? >> no. here's the reason why. look, our soldiers can clean this up in weeks if we had two divisions over there, but the fact is, only islam, only the muslims, can defeat radical islam on the ground. we can help them in the air and we should have nato air and u.s. and a coalition air power, but it must be the arab nations, the muslims must defeat isis. because that's the only way that ideology can be defeated. it must come from islam. from mecca and medina declaring fatahs against this evil ideology. not u.s. or nato forces. it must be the muslims. >> sir, we appreciate you joining us on a sunday.

you believe it? >> that was a chunk of the 20 minutes that we spent together and so much was left that we couldn't show you. some profound stuff. she didn't know my wife was in the studio the at the time, had come in when the interview started and she started saying i see grandfather on your wife's side coming through. like she didn't know she was in the studio at the time. so much of that. i think it was powerful too to hear from some of my producers at the time, they came in my ear after i mentioned my friend eric who passed away, they said oh, my gosh, we remember this two years ago here on "fox & friends," the morning after he had passed away of brain cancer, i talked about it on the show, and so many people from pittsburgh university of pittsburgh reached out to me, and what killed me about it seeing the pictures of his little boy but to know when she was communicating saying he's fine, he wants to be able to communicate with his mom it was amazing as you can tell. >> oh.

in the past hour we've gotten more information about what might have triggered this clamp down that we've been telling you about all morning. again, the second day in a row, brussels is shut down basically, roaming the streets something like 1,000 belgian troops and armored vehicles. authorities are saying at least two, maybe more, individuals armed with guns and explosives, seem to want to hit several locati locations. the hard information they've gotten. one of those is pointing directly could be sala abdeslam the so-called eighth attacker if the paris attack still being sought. he's reportedly being seen around brussels said to have a suicide belt in his possession and described as agitated and dangerous. this back here in france as this country remains on the war time footing as we've been telling you nationwide, in the past six days or so, there have been

nearly 1,000 anti-terror raids. over 100 suspects have been detained, some to be arrested and charged and 200 weapons seized and some of those very high caliber. we've been telling you president hollande will be busy, meeting with president obama on tuesday, president putin on thursday, meeting with other eu leaders and the leaders of turkey trying to firm up a coalition against isis here in europe and attacking it in the heartland and syria and in iraq. one final note we have to remember in a couple weeks time paris will play host to a massive climate change, environmental conference, more than 100 heads of state planning to attend. they're still planning. imagine what the security is going to be like for that. back to you. >> thanks, greg. let's get to other headlines. a rescue gone horribly wrong. a tulane university medical

student is shot when he tries to save a woman under attack in new orleans. look at this video. it shows peter gold being shot in the stomach after he approached a criminal on the street. the gunman tries to shoot a second time. thankfully the weapon jammed. that's horrific the suspect got away with the woman's purse. she is okay. gold is in the hospital. the guy aimed for his head the second time. he is expected to recover. the reverend al sharpton gives himself a 71% raise thanks to his pals president obama and new york city mayor bill de blasio. according to the "new york post" sharpton bumped his earnings after his national action network raised $6.9 million in 2014. the money flooding in after de blasio started treating sharpton as an adviser when the president headlined the 2014 nonconference. sharpton insists he didn't really get a raise and was just paying him back for loans. are you fighting the urge to want to sleep in all weekend.

and how about a little feel good story after a lot of tough news all day and yesterday as well. meet patty pig and her two best friends, pickles and paprika? they are inseparable. a rescue shelter trying to find a home that will keep them together. >> joining us is shelter manager of berks county sarah mckillup with patty pig, paprika and pickles. good morning on a sunday morning. these three are at the shelter currently, available for adoption, but there is a catch here, has to be all three of them together? >> yep, absolutely. >> why is that? >> they are bonded.

they came in together, they sleep together. they do everything together and to separate them could be devastating for them. >> that's really funny. so it is rare to see pig get together with dogs? how did this all come together and how are they getting along? >> well, actually, they were dropped off in our stray building one night, all three together, in one kennel, and when we walked in the morning, this little one on my lap was standing on peggy's back, piggy back, excuse me, and i believe they have been together the majority of their lives. so they're so bonded, we don't want to split them up. >> we all are fairly familiar with raising dogs or having dogs as pets, but a pig. i heard they're very smart. can they be -- tell us about this. the pig part of this might be a deal breaker for some people. >> yeah, it is a tough sell. she's 120 pounds. she is housebroken. she is very smart. she can open doors. she listens. she knows basic obedience but she's stubborn. she has pig ways about her.

>> how do they get along then, have there been inquiries or if someone were to call you, how do you take care of -- it can be tough to take care of two dogs. how do you take care of a pig? >> she's an indoor pig. so basically she's like having a really different kind of dog. she's definitely has to be kept indoors. but she goes outside and hangs out. we want her to remain indoors. she's housebroken. eats from dog bowls. she's basically just a very different kind of dog. >> does she eat dog food? >> no, no. she eats pig food. there is pig food and snacks of apples and carrots, things like that. >> all right. so what -- >> there has to be somebody out there with a farm or something like that, you know, just these three would be perfect. what do people need to do to try to get these guys together? >> they can call, talk to me at the shelter, e-mail me. we're looking for somebody with pig experience or is willing to
