>> and if the vote totals seem low, dixville notch is a hotel called the balsam which is under reconstruction. i think the population has dropped fairly dramatically. >> in new hampshire, there's a law that if a town has fewer than 100 registered voters, residents, they can open at midnight and close as soon as all the registered voters have voted. since all nine have, we have the results. >> yeah. i think hillary clinton will concede any moment. we'll look to break in to our programming for that. we'll see if there's anything more to play out. seriously, if the polls are somewhat correct and donald trump is polling over 30% of the vote, it looks like the real battle's going to be for second place. and i have -- there's a strong argument for almost all the candidates to finish second. a lot of people think that it could go to kasich because so many independents are out there. 44%. others say, look at chris christie's performance. man, he's going to finish up there. jeb bush has never looked better. look out for ted cruz. he's been consistent. >> emerson college had a poll

that came out late yesterday. and the results are donald trump 31, jeb bush suddenly in second place. jeb is at 16. he's ahead of kasich, who has invested a lot in the state. he's at 13 followed by rubio and cruz and christie under that number. >> and it may suggest as you know, bush is the only one in the second tier who's really gone after trump directly. of the others seem to be convinced they'd be hurt if they did it. if jeb comes in second, it may be a tactic for the rest of them. >> in the battle for the yard signs -- have you noticed driving around new hampshire, there are a ton of jeb signs? >> and they're placed in the staccato order. jeb, jeb, jeb, jeb, jeb. >> every major corners. a lot of major corners, jeb, jeb, jeb. you can tell the difference between the jeb signs with the campaign with the exclamation mark and the jeb signs from the super pac. >> guess who's got the biggest signs. i'll give you one guess. >> i know. >> donald trump, the size of

buildings. last night all the candidates were on our air saying they're the ones to be number two. listen. >> the momentum is in our direction. it's been that way since the debate ended saturday night. senator rubio is dropping like a rock. and we are rising. >> any prediction before you go? >> no. we're going to do better than what you've showed on the screen. >> i called a guy today who tomorrow is going to make his 10,000th phone call. it's ridiculous. people are walking -- walked in the rain. they walk in the snow. and that's how you win elections. you win it with the ground game, particularly in the state of this size. >> i've been written off. i've seen obituaries written about myself. and like the guy from the town hall meeting, you know, i'm still alive. >> it is very unusual for a candidate to be able to compete effectively. and part of the reason that we can is that we have tremendous support not just among evangelicals or conservatives but among libertarians. when rand paul dropped out -- he's a good friend of mine, a good man. we've seen in the last 24 hours,

and some would say, wow, 24 hours after saying i'm going to indict her, they have a friendly exchange as guests pass in the night on jake tapper's show. what's your take? is that going to hurt anybody, tucker? >> i mean, come on. this is who chris christie is. i think there are very few people who live in new hampshire who haven't been hugged by chris christie. whether they agree with him or he agrees with them. >> he's not hugged me this week. >> that's who he is. he's an effervescent jersey guy. it doesn't mean he endorses her. come on. >> you know, chris christie was the topic last night with brit hume who is trying to figure out why chris christie chris christie after he expertly prosecuted marco rubio at the debate, why he has not gone up in the polls. this is brit hume's analysis. >> there are two guys who basically lived here and have built their whole campaign and whole prospects on a new hampshire win. one is kasich, and the other as you point out correctly, is chris christie.

i think it may be that this pugnacious manner of his, the people who want a pugnacious manner have gone to donald trump. i think that's what left chris christie unable to get much traction. he certainly has qualifications and experience. he's a good debater, as we saw. i think that piece of the electorate, the angriest piece, those people are with trump. some with cruz perhaps. mostly with trump. >> your theory, tucker? >> steve and i were talking about this. he had a smart theory. he said maybe it's cultural, depends where you're from. i ran into donald trump at dinner last night. we had this conversation -- why isn't chris christie doing better? i loved watching him at the debate. as steve pointed out, maybe if you're from a state that's more restrained, it's not as appealing. >> i'm from new jersey. i know a lot of people like chris christie. i like his approach at times. >> yeah. >> yeah. >> a lot of new yorkers are like that. when you're in a big city, you might like that, washington, d.c. then again, more gentile places,

now to our newsroom. this from the crash site. it happened in southern germany in the city of badabling. both trains careened off the tracks. several cars flipped over. everyone who was trapped inside the wreckage has been rescued, thankfully. the cause of that crash is under investigation. reports this morning of hundreds of additional u.s. troops set to head to afghanistan. our forces, we understand, will arrive in helmand province by the end of the month to provide security and also advise the afghan military. they will not participate in combat, but as we know, many of our forces have been involved in firefights in the area recently. 9,800 u.s. troops are stationed in afghanistan. and you remember the cruise ship we told you about yesterday that sailed into the monster winter storm leaving passengers really shaken up and a huge mess, as you see here, on board the ship? it is heading back to its home port. royal caribbean's anthem of the seas expected to arrive back in

particularly about money? we've got a great guest. the national finance chairman of 2012, romney/ryan campaign, he was. his name is spencer zwick, the chairman of american rising and joins us at the airport diner in manchester. nice to see you. >> good to see you. thanks for having me. >> let's talk a little about how this all works. finally after talking about it for a couple of years, people are going to start voting. then tonight, after the results roll in, the money either goes to a candidate or dries up for a candidate. how's that going to work? >> it either goes to several candidates or dries up. you're right. i saw this in 2008 and in 2012. in 2008, governor romney came up short in new hampshire. and he ultimately had to decide that it was time for him to step aside and get behind someone that he thought was best suited to win -- to take the nomination and try to beat barack obama. in 2012, something different. governor romney won. he was able to capitalize on the momentum and raise a lot more

money. the money becomes much more important going forward. >> absolutely. and speaking of money, we've got a graphic to show how much money people have spent so far here in the state of new hampshire. bush has spent close to $34 million. marco rubio, $16 million. chris christie, $14 million. john kasich, $12 million. way back, donald trump has only spent $3 million. carly fiorina, $1.8 million. carson and cruz, barely a drop in the contributor bucket. it's about winning here if you can. putting your flag in the ground so that you've got the momentum going forward. >> that's right. >> all right. so let's talk a little bit about the tough decision that you don't do well today -- everybody would like to have the story that rubio had last week leaving iowa. you know, whoever that person is -- they suddenly have the momentum. but if you don't have it and the donors start saying, you know, just not interested in your candidacy, given that you were with mitt romney in 2008, how do you decide it's time to pull the

plug? >> that's a great question. it is deeply personal. i watched governor regime in 2008 when, as i said, he came up short in new hampshire. and he ultimately had a decision, a personal decision to make as to what's the best thing for the party, and what's the best for the country. clearly the money, the financial support, s -- the support is a factor. you have to decide do i have the resources to go the distance. >> how many donors out there who might be considered gop establishment have not yet put their money on anybody? >> so, this is really surprising. i think at least a third to a half of the people that really raised the resource -- we raised $1 billion for mitt romney's campaign. >> wow. >> i think there are at least a third to half of the individuals who haven't signed up for any campaign. they're waiting, watching. tonight is a big indicator for them. >> thank you very much for joining us at the diner. would you like in coffee? >> no, thank you. >> some eggs? >> yes, eggs i'll take. >> can spencer get some eggs, please? >> hey, spencer. how do you want your snegs. >> over medium.

added an extra 2 on the end, sending a guy named hank their request instead. brian? all right. as we mentioned, democrats head to the polls to vote in today's primary. all signs point to a sanders major victory. >> when we began this campaign about nine months ago, we were at 3% in the national polls. in iowa, we started off 40, 50 points behind. we ended up a virtual tie. new hampshire, we started 30 points behind. and i think we're going to do just fine tomorrow. >> more than fine. what's behind bernie's rise to the top, and why did democrats seem so split at this juncture? joining us, democratic strategist jessica tarlov, and former congressional candidate, nomaki const. jessica, you're a hillary clinton supporter. the reuters poll doesn't lie. a national poll shows clinton with just a three-point lead,

48-45, heading into the new hampshire primary. how do you explain this? >> there are a couple polls like that. if you look at the clear politics average sheerks up over 13 points. there's no doubt, bernie is tightening this race on every level. he's correct when he said he started 45, 50 behind. he came within half of a percentage point in iowa and is ahead in new hampshire. we know that new hampshire, though, really anything can happen. and we don't know at all what's going to happen with the independent voters. i think it's possible -- she could take it, but more likely that she could get it to under ten, which i think might even be considered a victory for the clinton campaign going into more of her firewall. but bernie sanders, he's completely correct when he says that. and this is just going to be a tight race across the board. >> right. but the surge has happened. we've seen this before, haven't we? we know how it turns out for hillary clinton. she's eight years older now. she's losing the millennial vote. >> there's two things happening

that a little different from 2008. in 2008, the primaries were different in that a lot of young people were voting when they were on vacation. this time around, bernie sanders really has to organize young people more. he has more of that support because millennial generation is a larger generation, and they're growing up. now, if hillary clinton can't lock down this millennial vote and she does win the nomination, that's a big problem for democrats in november because we depend on getting people out to vote. and millennials are the largest generation in history. >> but jessica, do we know why they like bernie? have they drilled down from the hillary camp to the bernie camp, do they know why he's got such staying and surging power? >> i think that -- and momiki is a bernie supporter and great advocate for him and his message. i think that he is across the board hopeful. he's also preaching political revolution. something that's appealing on the right, as well. that's what donald trump and ted cruz are talking about. and i think that that's what's working. i would caution, though, about the fact that it doesn't seem like his plans are actually

possible. >> right. >> there's a lot going on here that's being promised that i don't think can be implemented. we know that we couldn't get universal health care in the first place. >> talking about what's possible -- >> we'll get -- there will be a debate where we can get into health care and what the plans are -- >> give me a defense. >> i want you to defend. when he brings his hope -- but he really brings occupy wall street, correct? >> no, i wasn't a part of occupy wall street -- no. maybe that's part of the movement. for the most part, this is somebody who understands that when you're negotiating -- he has negotiated more bills with the other side than any other democrat, including hillary clinton. this is a man who knows how to work with the other side. he might be campaigning in poetry, but he will be governing in prose. >> where is the proof? that's what i don't understand. >> in his record. let's talk about proof. you want to talk about proof, hillary clinton is basically a pro-choice republican. if you're a democrat and you have core values that you want to stand for, this generation

knows that they've been disaffected, alienated. they're hurting the most in the economy, especially young women. hillary clinton has no record of proving that she support young women. she has the support of all of these -- >> the glass ceiling breakers -- >> hang on. planned parenthood endorsed her, but that was the board. the board who happens to be her donor base. >> if i could get in one second. >> i love you, jessica. >> me, too. >> and i love everybody, too. including joel on -- help me on the floor. real prediction today. what are the numbers going to be? jessica? >> i would hope for a hillary win. it's going to be close. i think that bernie will come out on top. >> how many points? >> under ten. >> wow. that will be a victory for hillary. what do you think? >> i think it's going to be bernie. over 10. i think the independenting will be key. they're -- independents will be key. they're going in his favor unless they go to trump. >> 44% are independents. i guess i have to say good-bye.

marco roboto. i guess people want to make believe as if he repeated the line five times that he's robotic as a candidate. >> right. which many say was highlighted on saturday during the debate as governor chris christie seemed to pounce on him. he repeated his answer multiple times. at the same time with the clinton pac doing this, you don't typically shoot behind you, do you? it's either next to you or ahead of you. is this another sign that the clinton campaign -- that the clinton campaign is looking out? no, looking out for senator marco rubio? and you know, sees him as a threat. >> yeah, it could be. tucker and i were talking a bit ago about what chris christie did to marco rubio where he eviscerated the florida senator and pointed out the fact that marco rubio has a tendency to repeat things kind of verbatim. how did you describe it? >> he didn't seem -- it didn't seem to help chris christie.

i thought it made for compelling television. confirmed pre-existing suspicions about senator rubio. you didn't see christie's numbers go up. seemed to heard them both. i heard someone describe it as a murder-suicide. a little over the top. the robots, i saw them. those are ad hoc costumes. if this was a hillary deal, it doesn't do anything good for her campaign. like refrigerator boxes. >> like you waited outside a costco and waded through a dumpster and had a quick idea. if you watched the whole debate, and i did, you saw marco rubio get traction the second hour. you saw how fluent he is on foreign relations and talking about taxes on millionaires. you know he can't be making that up. when he sat down with end in an kelly last night -- with megyn kelly last night, she said, is it some way that you're remembering things that worked against you in the debate. here he is. >> is there a system by which you memorize answers? i mean, is that how you do it -- >> no. i know what i believe --

isis and wanted to shoot up a church and murder cops. what makes the investigation so different from others? analyst judge andrew napolitano joins us now. old-fashioned police work here? >> yes. old-fashioned police work. in many, many cases in which the federal government arrests someone, the federal government has found that the person has an inclination toward doing evil and lured him to a plot. we were never really in danger because the fbi was controlling this guy's behavior. he didn't know that the fbi was doing it. in this case, this is a real serious person who concocted the plot on his own. detroit police picked up some tips, passed it on to the fbi. the fbi using public documents and lawfully obtained search warrants got more information about him. they sent an undercover agent to befriend him. he boasted to the undercover agent about what he was going to do. before he did it, they arrested him. >> this is what he said to the

undercover agent also -- >> unbelievable. >> "i tried to shoot up a church one day. it's one of the biggest ones in detroit. i bought a bunch of bullets. a practiced a lot with. i practiced loading and reloading. my dad searched my car one day and found everything." >> so this was a real plot, not one the government made up in order to get somebody off the streets. there was real danger here. the police did not invade anybody's privacy. there was no unlawful or unconstitutional surveillance. it was what we called good old-fashioned police work to get this guy off the streets. >> which was awesome. we want to tip our hats to the cops who did this work. >> to the detroit police and to the fbi. >> at the same time, are you shining a negative light on the way it's normally done? the flash to bang, the recruitment to radicalization to the point of doing something is getting worse, getting faster according to terror analysts. don't they need as many tools as they can get? >> they need lawful tools. this demonstrates that when they

be better for kasich because he's more attractive according to a lot of the experts to the independent voter. do you buy into that? >> no. i don't. i think it's hard to know. i mean, keep in mind new hampshire is different than 20 years ago. it was basically invaded by massachusetts. hundreds of thousands of massachusetts voters came here. i'm not attacking them, but it's very different. a lot of the people seem to be populists who could vote democrat or republican. some can go trump or bernie. that's how weird it is. >> it seems like all the candidates at all of the town hall meeting any time they're in front of a crowd, they're saying come out and vote and vote for me. there's a controversial mailer that is going around again. remember the one from cruz in iowa. this one from a daily caller investigation. they think the mailers came from the rubio camp. but it's basically saying your neighbors are going to know who you vote for. similar to the one from the cruz camp -- it's all going to come down to turnout and the snow won't stop people from hitting the polls. >> let's look at a a --

though we got more votes than the other two people and we got seven delegates out of it. donald trump got seven, ted cruz got eight. so the difference was one delegate. of course we want to do well here in new hampshire, get as many delegate as we can. then early march you get -- mid march that give all of their delegates to one candidate. so the goal here is to have over half the delegates obviously and more than everybody else. i feel very confident that as we move forward in this process, that's where we'll going to wind up. today is all about new hampshire and we have a great team here and i'm asking everyone watching this broadcast here in new hampshire, don't forget to go out and vote today because i'm the republican that can unify our party and i can beat hillary clinton. just a poll out yesterday showed i'm the only republican that beats her for example in new hampshire. >> senator w ewatch all the debates here. we get quizzed on them the next day and get to talk to the candidates. you got attacked hard by jeb bush and extremely hard by governor christie. why haven't you attacked donald

campaign and the beginning of a huge transformation within the clinton campaign. if i were a staffer inside clinton world right now i'd be fearful. i'd watch my back because there's really no certainty that you're going to be employed a week from now. >> well, she's having a tough time courting young voters, young women voters in particular. she's trailing bernie sanders by double digits in new hampshire by many of the polls and had that razor thin victory over sanders in iowa. are you getting a feeling one way or the other? >> well, sanders i believe is going to win this state. what's hilarious to me is that bill and hillary clinton are reputed to be the single smartest people not only in the democratic party, but on planet earth. so to blame a 27-year-old staffer for their campaign misfortunes seems a little odd. you know what i mean? >> i would say the puritan restaurant here in manchester -- >> owned by a hillary supporter. >> absolutely. they had a big rally. they had buses full of people. they were still having lunch when we went in there.

produced there, similar conditions across parts of new england, where massachusetts picked up some heavy snow. the strong winds bringing in some coastal flooding across the region. so again a big concern out there. and that will continue to pummel the areas as more disturbances swing through. that cold air is in place. look at minneapolis. it feels like 13 degrees below zero. feels like single digits across new england and in the city of boston. the satellite and radar picture, very busy with snow anywhere from tennessee all the way to parts of maine. but not everywhere is going to be looking at accumulating snowfall. we have tennessee and kentucky, some light forecast accumulation across most areas and we are also going to be expecting some light snow accumulation across parts of new hampshire where a lot of people are headed out to the polls to the some voting today. the good news is those temperatures are going to be climbing and later today they could be in the upper 20s and

well, heroin is a major

epidemic in northern new england and here in new hampshire and that crisis took center stage in the republican race. here's part of what was said about it on saturday night. >> this is an absolute epidemic. we need leadership to solve it. we need programs like a.a. and counseling and churches and charities and it has to securing the borders because you have mexican cartels that are smuggling vast amounts of heroin into this country. >> this is a disease. not a moral failing, it's a disease. i'm pro-life, and i'm pro-life for not only for the nine months in the womb. i'm pro-life for when they get out and it's a lot more complicated. 16-year-old girl locked up, the 42 lawy 42-year-old lawyer who can't get out of bed and is taking oxycontin i'm pro-life.

them clearly are making bad choices about whom they prescribe this stuff to and in what amounts. >> well, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, everybody has to step up and do something about what their position is with people dying. >> what do you think has changed in the culture though? something clearly has changed. i'm 46. when i was a kid the idea of heroin was so out of bounds and over the top. and now you see normal middle class people with jobs doing it. something's different. >> the difference is it's only $5. >> so the availability is the key? >> availability is less expensive than a six pack of beer. >> this not coming from afghanistan. this is coming from mexico. we know the overwhelming majority of it. this is a border issue, isn't it? >> also fentanyl. that's killing people at a fast rate. much faster than what we ever saw with heroin. >> mayor, great to see you this morning. i know you're working on this and we're rooting for you. >> well, thank you very much. certainly the citizens of new hampshire and this country need

polling place. register on the spot and then vote for whoever you want to. >> it's an open primary. in that way, i think it's more predictive of the general election. that's why every republican who has been president in the last 50 years with one exception has won this state. >> and dixville notch has been casting the votes and we have the results from dixville. keep in mind, nine people voted. of them, three went for john kasich. two went for donald trump. and four went for bernie sanders. >> yeah. new hampshire -- >> the vote over in ten seconds. >> exactly. they have closed the polls there in dixville notch because new hampshire has this rule. that if you have a small town less than a hundred people, then you can open at midnight and close as soon as all the registered voters have cast their ballots.

think about, you know, the original. the original was jeb bush. remember a year ago, most of us believed that jeb bush was going to be the preeminent establishment voice in this race. he didn't catch fire in most states. he's polling in single digits in others. even in florida he polled in fourth place in the most recent big poll in florida and yet now, he's on the move against trump. he seemed confident. he had the best debate performance no doubt about it last saturday night. keep an eye on jeb bush. >> and governor bush was on the program earlier. we have seen him punching and counterpunching with donald trump. we asked him this, this was his answer. >> i'm not doing this for political purposes. in fact, getting in the line of fire of donald trump has its downsides. he's pretty good at just, you know, crushing you. over twitter. but not in person. you know, it's funny, in person he's different. >> and governor bush --

>> you know, laura -- >> what do you think, laura? >> i think in the end, there's a couple of key questions that have to be asked. the policies that jeb bush is advocating, the two issues that trump and he really disagree on most fervently are trade and immigration. we have learned the devastation of the middle class because of the world trade organization in china. we have lost millions of jobs. no doubt about that globalization of the bush variety than devastating to american workers. that's number one. number two, more of an open border approach to immigration. triple the number of visa holders which marco rubio sponsored. never sponsoring an enforcement provision to immigration. while bush is confident, has an extra spring in his step, i think if trump goes really substantive on those, i think there's room to grow a lead, not shrink it. >> you know, i know, laura, you

know new england because you went to college up here. when you look at the yard signs, jeb bush seems to have the advantage. you do start to see a number of trump signs in the urban areas. but let's go to chris christie, the governor of my home state of new jersey. he says that marco rubio after his performance at the debate a couple of nights ago is dropping like a rock. do you agree with governor christie's assessment? >> i think he's dropping. there's no doubt about it. i think what some people are seeing is his debate performance -- everyone has a mistake. everyone can have a bad night, but it takes us back into the immigration reform work that he did with chuck schumer and la raza and the chamber of commerce and dick durbin. did he really have the strength to go into these negotiations on an immigration reform bill or did he get rolled? maybe he agreed with schumer. maybe he got rolled. but maybe the strength of the performance really gives us some insights into rubio's kind of lack of accomplishment on the

legislative front. just doesn't have the experience. i saw a funny tweet this morning and it was rubio, 2020. so maybe he needs four more years, i don't know. so far a little shaky. >> are we burying the lead here, laura? it looks like donald trump the most unlikely candidate of our lifetimes is about to win the new hampshire primary. i wonder if any of the guys below him on the roster are looking at the themes of his campaign and saying, hey, those are working, maybe i should steal them? do you think that's happening? >> well, it should be, right? we should be able to learn from our failed policies and tucker, you're right. if trump does not win by at least i'd say 15 points, you can expect in the media the following narrative. trump underperforms in new hampshire. trump on the ropes going into south carolina. trump clearly -- clearly doesn't have the message that's connecting when we know independents, even some old obama supporters are listening to his message on immigration

and trade. helping the middle class. and it would seem to me that when you listen to chris christie, he has picked up on some of the themes of trump. you hear him about the blue collar workers, he's gone after that, a lot of the issues that are the bush tent poles, christie has looked to knock down. i predict chris christie comes out of this, says i'm not dropping out of anything. i'm going to south carolina. maybe the next debate he decides to take down jeb bush. i would keep an eye on chris christie regardless of what the outcome is tonight. >> laura, i tend to agree. but the polls has him at 4 to 5%. he's gotten better with more endorsements, and he says his internals are different. let's switch over to hillary clinton. yesterday a frustrated bill clinton who reports he was the 40th president of the united states, he was at a rally and he was doing more fighting for

hillary and also bemoaning the fact they're married? >> tonight, my job is to enter as hillary. sometimes when i'm on a stage like this i wish we weren't married. then i can say what i really think. and i don't mean that in a negative way. i'm happy. >> what does he mean, laura? >> i don't know. he said some of the insults and the -- in the campaign have been profane. i don't think the fact that he was married ever deterred bill clinton from saying or doing anything he wanted. so i thought that was a little odd. i just feel like he's lost that charm factor. the comeback kid. >> he doesn't look good. i want to bring up one other thing. the reports of them rejiggering their camp have to be concerning to democrats and when david axelrod tweets out if you're having the same problems in 2016 as in '08, maybe it's the candidate. what are they thinking if

axelrod says that? >> i think they're looking at the young minority, female and male voters, they're flocking to the sanders message. free sounds good to people, the economy is underperforming. the top 5% of all the income -- they like, well, these guys have done well in this recovery, except we don't have job opportunities. we have a huge college debt. the impulse of a lot of the students especially is to go for the freebies without thinking who would pay for it and who delivers the freebies better than bernie sanders? >> the headline from new hampshire after talking about this for years, people are going to vote. what's your headline for today? >> headline is the establishment has failed the people. and the people are going to have their say. they had their say in iowa. the two outsiders came in one and two. i think today if you have a

and then he sends his super pac out to cut people's throats. we don't need another duplicitous washington, d.c. politician. in the white house. we already have one. we don't need another one. marco needs to get some experience and when he does maybe he can run for president again. he's not ready for president and that little show tells you that. he's a typical drive by politician. no experience. but a lot of talking points that he just got, you know, from his research guys. is there anything that marco doesn't get from his staff? >> that's really tough what you just said. do you think you have benefited from that? or are you just saying that as a public servant? >> i think the american people have benefited from it. that's what i think. >> since the debate where you took him apart for the most part, you know, there are differing polls out there, they have you in different places. do you think that hurt you or

helped you? >> helps. people see i'm ready and prepared. >> they see you're a fighter. >> that too. you can't do that unless you know what you're talking about. i mean, the substance is what really mattered in the conversation. and what i pointed out to people is that senator rubio is not ready. i showed them he wasn't ready. that's what you want from a candidate who's going to take on hillary clinton. >> so you have something in common with donald trump he's a fighter too. >> yes. we have been friends for 13 years. i would be a better president than he would. >> which of your views have changed during this campaign? >> during this campaign? i don't think any of my views have changed during this campaign. over my -- you know, my 20 years in public life, i have had to view change as everyone has. if you're a living, breathing human being, and you get new experiences you better change. if you just spit back talking points you never change unless the people who run the talking points change for you. >> here on the ground in new hampshire, hillary clinton is trailing bernie sanders. in a large way. madeleine albright has been out and about stumping for her. and she had this sound bite that i think she'd like a do over on.

the middle of the pack and inch it out in the end which is traditional. i'm happy and honored but the country wants to see smart decisions and smart people. it's very simple, they want to see america be made great again. we don't have victories anymore. we lose on trade, we lose to isis. our military can't beat isis. we can't do anything right. health care is a disaster. obamacare is a disaster. we'll repeal it and replace it with something so good. but our country doesn't have victories anymore. >> tell you what, according to the polls it doesn't look like hillary clinton is going to wind one a victory here in new hampshire tonight. ultimately, you'd like to square off against her because you believe she's the party's nominee because the other guy is a socialist. but why is hillary targeting marco rubio and not you? >> because she doesn't want to run against me. you know, it's very interesting. chuck todd on nbc said, hillary doesn't want to run against this one or that one. but she wants to run against trump. i said, when they say they want to run against you, that means
