chelsea will introduce her mother. stay tuned for a special edition of "fox and friends" first at 4:00 a.m. "fox and friends" starts right now live from philly. he never tells you how he's going to do any of the things he says he'll do. he just says, "believe me." donald trump cannot become our commander in chief. believe me. i'm a new yorker. and i know a con when i see one. >> believe me. >> he's trying to kill us. he cares about the middle class. give me a break. that's a bunch of mularkey. >> believe me. >> nobody more qualified than hillary clinton to serve as president of the united states of america. >> believe me. believe me. believe me.

he has three press conferences yesterday. it's unbelievable. >> takes all comers. >> it does. it's ironic this is going down in the so-called city of brotherly love because it's only expected to get more vicious when hillary clinton steps to the podium tonight. >> that's right. we're live with the best of last night's mudslinging moments. doug? >> good to see you guys. whatever devices that's marked the earlier days of the democratic national convention largely subside with what you might want to call a love/hate fest. love for the democratic nominee who made an unexpected appearance on stage last night to hug the sitting president, a symbolic gesture of continuity. some have called it a third obama term. then there was hate, hate for the republican nominee, donald trump, who took tremendous incoming fire from three democratic heavy hitters. vice presidential nominee tim kaine, the vice president, joe biden and also the president himself. here's a sampling.

>> he has no clue about what makes america great. actually, he has no clue, period. >> our power doesn't come from some self-declared savior. we don't look to be ruled. donald trump will lose. >> trump has never been one to take that kind of stuff sitting down. he was unusually quiet on twitter as the speeches were being delivered. look for him to fire back in a big way in the days to come. so this four-day convention culminates with a speech by hillary clinton tonight and the horse race towards november continues. one group of people who will be happy to see the convention pull up stakes are nearby residents to the wells fargo senn toer who are complaining to the philadelphia enquirer about the noise and the traffic and the vandalism an the nudity. apparently the protesters have been camping out in a nearby park in their birthday suits and judging from the looks of them,

3:06 am
it shows that the democrats must really be nervous when even the commander in chief is in attack mode and you look at the polls and trump according to the clear average is ahead. every speaker was attacking him. you see tim kaine, he was calling him a liar. then president obama took the stage and said that trump promotes fear, said that the american dream is something that no wall will ever contain. sniemts here's the other issue. the president should not be attacking. the outgoing president, a lame duck in his final month, i don't think it's becoming to attack a republican or opposite party. go out there and talk about what you accomplished and maybe what the next person in the party can do. i thought it wasn't unexpected but i thought it was inappropriate to go after donald trump personally. i wish he would show that type of anger against isis and against russia and all the other countries that seem to be disrespecting us around the world. >> trump is doing better than hillary if you look at the polls. >> for the first time since the nominations were apparent,
