guy they're showing on the tv. so i came back to the -- my store, across the street from the bar. i got a little busy. i didn't call the cops right away and then one of my friend came in and i told him, his name was vinny. i said vinny, you saw the guy sleeping in front of my bar, he said yes. i said he looked exactly like the guy on the computer. i showed him, he said yes, yes. i'm like so shaken the thought of it same guy. i said okay, let me call the cops. i was about to dial 911, then he said no, call the linden cops. i just called the cops. >> then how far from when you called the cops did they actually show up? >> they were there in like three, four minutes. because on the phony didn't tell them that the guy you are

did donald trump successfully describe what you do in israel? >> he was close but i'm going to take it a step further. the israeli security system which is air tight and we can't stop every terror attack but we can stop most of them is based on what i call a d-3 system. the first one is did he tell teern -- deterrence phase, they have a tremendous ability of having armed police officers as well as highly specialized motorcycle units which carry not one officer but two officers with an ar on those bike who cannot only create a deterrent but can get to a terrorist attack extremely quick by because they are on those bikes. we also arm our soldiers so they can travel to and from their military bases. having the weapons on our soldiers is the no only a deterrence but it allows our soldiers to protect themselves when they are moving to and from

the base. the second piece is the detection phase. all of our officers in israel are under cover, when they are off duty, are used as force multiplers. we are not afraid of concealed carry in israel. we issue permit holders to all special forces vets. they are not allowed to walk around with their gun. they have to go through a mandatory 40 hours of active training and they are issued or required to wear some type of what we call friendly fire avoid answer clothing. this planl right here looks like a typical blue flannel. when you break away the pocket, it has a highly reflective police patch so the officers don't accidentally get shot by other officers. what you saw in minnesota, was a former officer or off duty officer able to put down that knife-wielding terrorist and able to identify himself.

that's the same thing with security guards in israel. off duty they are allowed to be armed, but they are forced to carry some kind of identification. this is a friendly fire avoidance hat. >> with that small country, the size of new jersey, how do you deal with that the a country the size of america? >> this is a tough one. we here in the states have a problem where we've got anti-american and sharia supremacist type of wolves putting up in this country. you can't put up a wall. what you have to do is you have to allow the law enforcement to be able to rely on off duty and concealed carry permit holders to act not only as force mumters but be able to train.

reporter spoke to rahami's dad who says he had no idea what his son was up to. listen. >> did you know that your shon was doing this? >> no. >> you had no idea? when you hear now that he's been accused of this, do you believe it? do you believe it? sir? >> i'm not sure what's going on. >> you are not sure. >> i'm not sure what's happening exactly, but i think it's very hard right now to talk, okay. >> rahami was eventually shot and captured by police in linden, new jersey, by a hero cop who recognized the suspect after a bar owner reported seeing someone sleeping in his bar doorway. that officer, angel padia was shot in the torso. a couple officers shooting the 28-year-old rahami. he was shot in the leg, arrested and taken to a local hospital but not before he fired off

rounds, injuring two other officers. thankfully, though, none of which suffered life-threatening injuries. back to you guys. thank you. let's welcome back to our show, former cia director under bill clinton and donald trump supporter james woolsey. do you think the response would be effective to stop the attack? do you think we know enough about this guy? >> think the police and the fbi and the people who are working on in new jersey and new york did a good job here. the coordination has paid off and some of the criticisms of law enforcement. >> and the communication, they rounded up that car on the bell parkway with the family members before they got him? >> right, right. and that's getting better. but it's like playing goalie in hockey and if the other team gets a single score, you lose. you have to stop every shot and that's hard, and one will get through here one of these days. i hope i'm wrong, but i'm afraid i'm not going to be.

for donald trump he's had a more disciplined campaign usually when they can keep him on the teleprompter and keep him from making side remarks during rallies. the new campaign team i think has done a good job with him. it's that combination, but keep in mind, steve, this is retrospective. we're looking back and trying to peg where the states may be were last week or are over the weekend and we're heading up for that big debate on monday which could shake things up again. >> i completely agree with you. finally we'll be able to see them s side. let me ask you something that happened in the last couple of days. terror strikes in new york. during the primary season there was one or two, and people tended to side with trump and his tough approach to terror. could that possibly improve his numbers going forward because i know you look at the polls and clinton and trump are about tied when it comes to handling

new fears of foreign terrorists living among us as nearly one in five syrian refugee already here in the u.s. has settled in the new york and new jersey area. the site of last weekend's bombings. >> so do we have to fear terrorists coming here or should we just say we have big hearts, we should let them all in. here is caitlyn collins. is there a concern americans should have? >> americans are concerned. they are concerned about the vetting process, they are concern about how many refugees we're bringing in. most of are being placed in michigan, california, arizona and texas. one in five are being placed in new york. that's 500 refugees that have been placed in the new york area

and at least 250 in new jersey. that's causing concern for a lot of people given the recent events in the last week in new york and minnesota. >> counterterrorism experts have said in the past that it is impossible to thoroughly vet all these refugees coming in from syria. why are we taking in so many? >> exactly. the problem is only getting worse. barack obama is addressing the united nations today to encourage world leaders to bring in more refugees into their country. he himself wants to bring in 110,000 next year. if hillary clinton is elected, she wants to bring in as many refugees as people living in detroit, given the numbers so far. that's concerning people. >> so far we haven't had any isis members coming here, although there have been 66 picked up in the last few months of those who were sympathetic to the islamic state. however, if you look at what's happening in germany and europe,

they have a totally scenario. there are linkages. >> exactly. there's no telling. like we said there's no way to properly vet these people. a lot of people that have committed these acts don't have a history with law enforcement. so how would you truly know what they are planning to do? >> that's a good point because we saw this guy who was just arrested yesterday, the new york guy, he's been here nor 15 years and he's just coming out. these syrian refugees are just coming through the country. >> exactly. and that's what americans are concerned about. they are also worried about the undemocratic nature of it. no voters are being asked what they think about bringing in these refugees. >> sure. nor the governors. caitlyn, thanks for joining us. laura ingraham is here next to break down this story and a few other headlines. >> ainsley has other things planned too. mom,

his mugshot taken. those other officers expected to be okay. the charges against him will be added. federal officials will add the charges for the bombings up and down the eastern seaboard. this is as we learn more about himse himself. multiple trips to afghanistan, one trip to pakistan, where it was believed he had gotten married. perhaps yesterday, his wife left the united states flying back to pakistan and according to l.a. times was intercepted in the united arab emirates to find out if she had any idea of the plans he had as he was allegedly those bombs. lots of other dots that were perhaps missed. could the fbi could have asked more questions and immigration officials asked questions when he came into the united states from those countries that have terrorist training camps? also this from social media, his

brother's facebook page, a picture of militants, with the quote, i bring men who desire death as ardently as you desire life. despite all this, with all those dots, they hadn't connected any. >> there's nothing to can indicate that currently he was on our radar. we had a report of a domestic incident some time ago. that was the allegations were recanted, and i don't have any other information. we'll keep digging. >> is the fbi now looking again today at first american fried chicken, the restaurant that his family owned and also at the apartment above where they lived. still a lot more questions to answer. did rahami have any contacts with overseas terrorist organizations? was he directed by anyone? did he have any help building these bombs? all things the fbi hopes to answer in the coming days, guys. >> we'll have to see if the family can live in close quarters like that and one of them happens to be making pressure cooker bombs with

coincidence. it reminds me of the omar mateen wife who had been tracked by authorities and surveilled by authorities down in orlando and we never hear anything about her. she drove mateen to that orlando club. the carnage and everything that happened there and we hear she's being surveilled, then we don't hear anything else about it. so all of this is so disconcerting on so many levels but the one thing we know that we are not able, apparently, to stop these home grown terrorists from wreaking havoc on our society. we're not able to do it. let's admit it. we can find them after they commit these horrible acts, but we're going to drop in another 100,000 people whose background we can't really verify? this is just madness. >> our lack of action caused this refugee crisis and now the president has got the big heart to accept everyone. well, if he acted when it was violated, we might have a totally different story.

>> this is trump's point. it's been all arong. we have no credibility all along on the world stage. that's why china is mocking us, that's why countries like the philippines feel like they are within their rights to insult us and our substantive policy has been a chaotic force in the middle east. we have helped destabilize the region and chaos as a result across the middle east, spilling into europe, as now angela merkel is feeling the heat from all her stupid refugee decisions. now coming into the united states. it's been a domino effect. it's been a domino effect of incompetence and backseat foreign policy and i think the american people are starting to get really fed up about all this. >> the american people have a choice in a a month and half. hillary clinton is saying vote for me if you want the say and you like the experience i bring to that position and donald trump says immigration security is national security.

>> i think trump is absolutely right, whether it's our border to the south that's porous or even our border to the north that's porous or bringing people into the country who can he can't -- we can't possibly discern their backgrounds. this is a ticking timebomb for the united states. we've had a job security issue, wages still lower than they were in 1999, and now another variable in an already very, you know, chaotic, domestic situation in this country, and more of the same. i mean, everyone can see what the same is. hillary yesterday on the tarmac, guys, in west chester, she said well she's had experience sitting in the situation room and being part of the strategy to go after the terrorists. first of all, she wasn't in the situation room on the night of benghazi. we don't -- i guess she was at home. i don't know what she was doing. but is that really what we're going to vote for? you sat in the situation room, and what exactly happened after

that? >> it worked out so well. >>. laura, going to play a sound bite from yesterday on this program. donald trump was on the channel twice yesterday talking about the problems we've got, perhaps we should do what israel does and they profile. see if you can hear him say racial profiling because somebody at cnn heard that, even though it doesn't exist. here's the sound bite. >> you know, in israel they profile. they have done an unbelievable job, as good as you can do, but israel has done an unbelievable job and they will profile. they profile. they see somebody that's suspicious, they will profile. they will take that person and they will check out. >> so they heard that and they put this up. trump defends racial profiling in wake of bombs. there's another full screen shot that says trump says racial profiling will stop terror. this is a couple of days after cnn very handily heard hillary clinton refer to the new york

and new jersey bombings, but they trimmed her saying that, so that they could attack him for calling it a bomb before he was notified by the authorities. what are they doing over at cnn? >> well, i think it's beyond dispute now that cnn is essentially operating as a clinton super pac. every move they make, almost every move they make when it comes to editling sound bites or chyroning, that's the title at the bottom of the screen is going to be geared toward assisting mrs. clinton. nothing could be more obvious than adding the racial element yesterday. they are adding the racial element where trump never brought it up because they know trump is starting to make headway into the minority community. that can't be happy with what's happening to their economic picture or their safety or their schools, and they know he's making inroads, and so this is why they have to know, he's

racist, he's a terrible person, he's mean spirited. this is all they have. they can't argue the substance. so cnn -- it's like a combination of media matters, move on.org and hillary clinton super pac rolled into one. that's what they are operating as. we want no show you a facebook post from kathleen harrington. this is a picture she posted on george bush 41. she wrote. the president told me he's voting for hillary. well, we know, you know, that the establishment doesn't like donald trump. what do you think about that? >> all of a sudden, the bush people said george w. bush will vote this year, it's not clear anyone was there to verify this, still checking. keep your powder dry. then yesterday he said he never committed to voting. he always keeps it secret. >> who whoes?

president bush is well into his 90s. he's had some health issues. i don't know what to make of that. one thing we do know is that on major issues involving trade and immigration, the pillars of the trump campaign, the bushes are much closer to the clinton world view than they are to the trump and i think conservative working class american world view. that doesn't really surprise me. i had an old joke a couple of years ago, kush, what difference does it make, involving jeb and hillary. there are a whole host of issues they agree. that doesn't surprise me. >> if he did say that, is that really her news to share? >> again, they see this -- guys, they see this all beginning to slip away. over the next several weeks, the next four or five weeks, we're going to see this campaign and the efforts to, you know, i think resuscitate a sagging hillary campaign, we're going to
