enchiladas loop goes, everything else in the taco bell menu. the good news is america is getting a lot more amusing. the bad news is that it's also getting scary. the government announced that inflation is once again at a year-over-year record. artie knew this was happening, or did you? there were parts of today's report that were not expected. they seemed to defy the most basic rules of economics. here are the raw numbers. >> inflation cranked up a whopping 9.1% in june. the consumer price index released show the price of necessities -- and the price of gas is almost at 50% year-over-year. this ran 5.6% of the year, and food -- 10.4%.

if you break it down to just groceries, the angle jump was 12.2%, citing the eggs at dashcam 26%. >> so, the biggest annual spike in inflation and more than 40 years, that's the headline. but, the reality is worse than that. during the harder years were inflation famously hit 14.64% -- "during the high inflation years of the 1970s and 1980s, average inflation jumped seven seven -- 7-9%." but this is not what is happening right now. the labor department for today "average earnings decreased -- june 2021 to june 2022. the change in hourly earnings

combined with this -- for the average workweek resulted in a 4.4% decrease in average weekly earnings. 4.4% average decrease in earnings. this is what an economic disaster looks like. it's the moment where everything you buy is more expensive. here is the big picture. the average american household things -- that's here -- the inflation numbers mean that the average household's -- $8,000 a year just from inflation. that is 9.1% inflation numbers. rising inflation and falling wages. this is very weird.

the price of gas is much cheaper in mexico than in the united states. in california, driving across the border to fill their cars. apart from a few of these outlier websites, no one seems to be asking that question. so cheap, that the mexican government is encouraging more americans across the border -- "right now, the price per gallon is $7.08 per average." that was from the president of mexico. they are, it costs $3.20. you have to ask yourself about putin's price pipe. they paid more because of putin

push for the international monetary fund being awarded $650 million because of ukraine. on top of all of that, this congressman proposed an amendment for the national authorization act calling for it -- "ukrainian military --" this is a guy who thought this was real. all of this is necessary come mandatory. we must defend democracy. we is taking from senator -- just an interview with charlie kirk. explained this on the limited amount of money to ukraine. why? fighting back against communist intrusion because vladimir putin is evil. >> what amount of money as possible so much to send to ukraine? where is the line?
