>> tucker: we've reached that moment we reach five nights a week where we're completely out of time which is sad. we'll be back tomorrow to shown the sincere enemy of lying, think of the best night with the ones you love. now the great sean hannity. >> hannity: tomorrow conner mcgregor will be on the show. we begin with this fox news alert tonight. reckless aggression in the skies. a u.s. drone operating over international waters above the black sea downed by a russian fighter jet, two of them. two su-27 aircraft. they flew dangerously close to our unmanned drone. putin's thugs when dumped fuel on our drone several times before then finally ramming its propel por and then sending our $14 millionaire craft into the sea below. now, some reports claim the collision was not intentional
6:01 pm
and that the russian pilots were just provocative and incompetent amateurs. make no mistake. this was no accident. i can guarantee you that vladamir putin personally signed off on this military aggression. here's our very own gennifer griffin. >> i'd just like to get your reaction to what happened today in the black sea. >> pissed off. i mean, just be honest about this for a second. the report coming out of our government is that this was an unprofessional act and environmentally unsound. i'm sorry, folks. they shot down a united states warplane. they took it out of action. that's the response we get back? not very happy about it. bottom line is we cannot allow that to happen. >> hannity: that's right. we can't allow this to happen. russia and putin's hostility and aggression against our country, the united states, has now
6:02 pm
reached a dangerous new height. now tonight the question is this. what will your president, joe biden, do? is he going to offer maybe another waiver for the nortstream 2 pipeline? putin's not going to care. he's selling his energy and getting filthy rich. he's selling it to china and the rest of the world and making a fortune, in large part because your president, joe biden, artificially reduced the world supply of energy by giving up on all domestic energy production. last year the saudis made a whopping record $161 billion in profit from oil and gas because we artificially reduced the world's supply because joe is giving in to the climate alarmist cult. now joe is importing oil from another hostile regime, venezuela. we're now going to make their thug dictator rich. again, i ask what joe are you going to do? joe biden, you are the president
6:03 pm
of the united states. you're the commander in chief. the sad reality is it looks like you will do nothing. russia sat back and watched the chinese spy balloon. they watched it fly over alaska skies, the west coast, canada, over our missile silos in beautiful montana, down to missouri and kansas, over to kentucky then out to the carolinas then you decided to shoot it out of the sky after the communist chinese got all the intelligence they could ever want. you finally shoot it down. then you overreact and shoot down three unidentified -- they still have not told us what these objects are, but we believe one was likely a $100 hobby club balloon. they spent $400,000 side winder missile to shoot that out of the sky. now other chinese spy balloons were spotted near u.s. territories all over the globe and green space lasers from a mysterious chinese satellite beaming down around hawaii. let's not forget about china's
6:04 pm
threats to reunify with our ally taiwan which are now reaching a fever pitch. never mind the communist chinese flying over their fighter jets over taiwan air space on a regular basis. then if you want to really add insult to injury, china is now demanding we apologize for all of their hostile behavior. joe, what are you gonna do? meanwhile, iran are enriching uranium at a record pace. we are told they are on track to get their nuclear weapon. that is a clear and present danger to the entire world. all of this comes as a new axis of eel is emerging between these two top three political foes. china's dictator xi is scheduled to hold a rare but significant meeting with putin in moscow. so how much you want to bet they'll probably be trading jokes about just how pathetically weak america's president is. this is beyond embarrassing. this is danger. danger to the safety and
6:05 pm
security of the entire world. add to all of this, china just brokered a new energy deal between former sworn enemies iran and saudi arabia? this, too, is a big deal. remember, under donald trump, remember we had the strategic alliance. i never thought i'd see it in my life time. it was the united states, israel, saudis, egyptians, jordanians. they all united against iran in the region. under biden that alliance is clearly dead. now the world's most hostile actors are aligning while joe forces the military to, what, now spending $3 billion on climate change every year? we should be building bombs, jets and missiles and ships, joe. america's enemies are on the move. they are aggressive. they are consolidating power. they're creating partnerships and alliances that the world better take note of while joe biden, your president, is asleep at the wheel.

russia and putin took out an american drone over international waters and i ask again. joe biden, what are you going to do? if you do nothing, they will be more emboldened and it will only get worse from here. the mexican president is now boasting that his country is safer than the u.s. apparently everyone on earth now knows that they can walk all over joe biden and they know most cities and towns have adopted this defund, dismantle, no bail law insanity of the democratic socialist party. here with reaction, south carolina senator lindsey graham is here. senator, a lot to talk about tonight. they shot down our drone. what should our answer be? >> well, we should hold them accountable and say if you ever get near another u.s. flying in international waters, your airplane will be shot down. what would ronald reagan do?
6:07 pm
he would start shooting russian planes down if they were threatening our assets. american foreign policy is in free fall. i can't add much to what you said. all i can tell you is that on multiple fronts we are in a dangerous situation. weakness breeds provocation. spy balloon over the united states, shooting down an american drone, multimillion dollar drone. they know they can get away with it. mexico is blaming us for the fentanyl crisis. joe biden is like a deer in the headlights. he needs to up his game quickly. >> hannity: so what extent do you believe joe's lack of reaction to the chinese spy balloon. russia was watching the trip over alaska, trip down the coast of canada, the trip into idaho, montana, kansas, missouri, kentucky. then they made it to your great state of south carolina then finally shot it down. obviously, putin was watching all this. president xi was testing us.
6:08 pm
god only knows what these lace lasers are in hawaii. do you have any insight into what they are? >> no. it all started with afghanistan. when biden got into power, he pulled out of afghanistan. that set everything else in motion. obama as president, putin invades ukraine. biden gets elected president, putin trying to dismantle ukraine. the border is completely broken. the mexican president is taunting the united states, belittling the republican party, claiming mexico is not responsible for the poisoning of america to fentanyl, and our commander in chief is sitting around playing the fiddle while the world burns. so president biden, you're the rodney dangerfield of world leaders. nobody respects you. if you don't change your game, we're going to have world war iii. here's the next war that's coming. israel will have to take military action to stop the iranians from developing
6:09 pm
enriched uranium to the point it can become a weapon. 84%. all they have to do is get to 90%. we're not doing a damn thing about the iranians trying to develop a nuclear bomb in plain sight. >> hannity: i would like to know, we know russian drones are flying over ukraine. why don't we shoot down two of theirs and send a message? you shoot down one of ours, we'll shoot down two the first time, ten the next time. why don't we do it now? do it now. >> what did trump do when the iranians were killing americans all over the middle east? he killed saul omania. he unleashed the military and the califait was destroyed in about three months. do you believe for one minute russia would have done this on trump's watch? do you believe for one minute russia would have invaded ukraine if donald trump was president of the united states? >> hannity: i think they had a healthy, realistic fear of donald trump. >> there is no fear of joe biden.
6:10 pm
his policies are not working. we're being walked on. we're being crapped on. we're about to have a major war because china is sizing up biden and they're going to go into taiwan if we don't up our game. ukraine. biden is always late to the game. >> hannity: mark my words, he wouldn't lift a finger. last question and i talk to a lot of my conservative friends. they generally know that putin is evil. they know russia is a hostile regime. they openly supported financial support. joe biden has steadfastly not permitted the ukrainians to get fighter jets, migs from poland and other countries. also, western european countries have not paid their fair share. he's not fighting to win if he's not going to allow zelenskyy to have the mig jets that poland offered them. if they're not going to fight and win, i can't blame americans saying, why are we even
6:11 pm
bothering helping at all? if western europe isn't going to do their part, why should we penny up everything? >> stay tuned my friend. we're going to come down hard on france and germany for not doing enough to help ukraine, who is in their back yard. if putin gets away with it, there goes taiwan. the two are connected. the biden administration has been slow and weak. every time ukraine needs a weapon system, we have to beg to get it. so i'm all in to win it. you're not gonna win this war by bleeding ukraine dry and giving them weapons they need too late to affect the outcome on the battlefield. joe biden is a disaster on the foreign policy front. we're in free fall. i have never been more worried about world stability than i am right now. we are on the verge of major conflict with china. >> hannity: we are getting lectured by mexico that they are safer than the u.s. we'll save that for another day.
6:12 pm
thank you. joining me michael waltz and fox news contributor dan hoffman. congressman, let's get your take. what should the administration do? they shot down a u.s. drone. this was not an accident. it was done on purpose. what should the reaction be? >> well, sean, just as senator graham said, we should be putting three drones back in there to replace this one and sending a very clear message to russia this was over international waters. they don't get to decide where the united states sends our aircraft, sends our ships, or who we decide, or how we decide to defend it. but, sean, let's roll back the clock real quick. before the invasion even happened, biden pulled all of our ships out of the black sea where this drone was just forced down. he voluntarily pulled our ships out. he pulled our aircraft out. now turkey has closed the strait.
6:13 pm
putin believes he has an opportunity to force our drones out as well because they smell weakness in the white house. again, to senator graham's point, what did trump do with iran when they attacked international shipping, when they attacked saudi oil refiners? when they shot down one of our drones, if we remember that, then attacked our embassy. he took out their field general, sent a clear message and then it all stopped. that's how you restore deterrents. that's how you restore strength. that's how we keep the peace. i am just as worried that we are slipping down a very slippery slope towards a total world in chaos between iran, north korea, china, russia, venezuela all on the march. they smell weakness. we could have the most powerful, capable military in the world but if our adversaries don't believe we have the political will to use it, then they're gonna take advantage of us. right now they're on the march. >> hannity: why don't we take
6:14 pm
down two of theirs, dan hoffman? would that be a bad idea? >> it might be a good idea. i think the first thing is just to assess vladamir putin's plans, intensions. this was a very important development. putin saw a tactical advantage. he wants to deny tus capability to collect intelligence over the black sea. strategically, he wants to show he can go toe to toe with the united states and win. he took down our air asset. he wants to be clear that russia owns the skies. thus far he has deterred the biden administration from providing the f-16's and migs to ukraine that ukraine so desperately needs. we were slow to give them air defense and anti-tank weapons, which has caused ukraine to suffer more than they should have. so i think this was a key strategic development. i would look for the u.s. intelligence committee to collect on that and for the house and senate oversight intelligence committee to request the detailed
6:15 pm
intelligence on what putin is thinking in the kremlin. >> hannity: to what extent do you think the russians watched the chinese spy balloon incident and that encouraged them to think they can get away with anything they want to do. there were no consequences for china, why would there be consequences here? >> i think what they saw with the spy balloon incident is we were very ten teufrb. we detected the spy balloon before it entered u.s. air space and we didn't do anything about it when we had the chance to deny that spy balloon the collection opportunity that the chinese exploited. and i think that russia took advantage of that. all we've done so far is bring the russian ambassador in for a demarch. if that's all russia faces, i think putin may consider upping the ante and doing more down the road. that has got to be of grave concern to us. >> hannity: congressman, you get the last word tonight. >> well, you know, again, this
6:16 pm
is part and parcel for biden's failed foreign policy. not only are they not doing anything in response to our drone being forced down, they did nothing after the colonial pipeline. critical infrastructure that provides gas to the entire east coast was attacked by state backed russian cyber hackers. in fact, putin got a summons out of it with a please mother may i, don't do this again. on top of nordstream 2, on top of new start with nothing in response, this weakness is dangerous to our national security and the world's stability. >> hannity: thank you. we have new breaking developments tonight as biden's billionaire bank bailout crisis continues to grow, as the silicon valley bank collapse sends shock waves throughout the entire economy. it's now going world wide.
6:17 pm
should they have made that bailout? we'll check in with shark tank's kevin o'leary. he's gonna weigh in. also david mccormack and david asman will join us as we continue. stay with us.

>> hannity: now a word about the democratic party. this is the party that claims they have a monopoly of compassion for the war, working class in america but we know they are the party that caters to the hollywood elite, wall street elite, the rich and powerful. it's a party that puts the radical climate agenda above the working people in america. i always say the forgotten men and women in america. they're the ones that are okay with importing energy abroad. doesn't impact their wallet that
6:22 pm
much. instead of producing it, domestic oil, ener skwreurbg right here at home. it's the party with the economic and energy policies that are crushing the middle class and working class in this country. it is the democratic politicians. they are the ones that lie and say they're not gonna raise tax on people making under $400,000 a year. what did joe biden do? turn around. he wants taxes on oil, gas, coal, pensions, corporations. corporations don't pay taxes. they pass that cost on to all of us. now two-thirds of the country as a result are living pay check to pay check. we have people tapping into their pension accounts for bare necessities. we have other americans paying bills with credit cards. this year the average household was hit with a $10,000 biden inflation tax. that's how much he's driven this economy into the ground. now biden says the american taxpayer won't pay for -- will have to pay for the billionaire banker buddy bailout of biden.
6:23 pm
this is a lie. what you are about to watch is one big huge lie. take a look. >> no losses -- this is an important point. no losses will be born by the taxpayers. let me repeat that. no losses will be born by the taxpayers. instead, the money will come from the fees that banks pay into the deposit insurance fund. >> hannity: who pays the fees? that would be the taxpayers. another lie of biden. anyway, biden let the working class people of this country, remember just like in east palestine. they were dangling in the toxic wind for weeks on end without saying or doing a thing. when are you gonna visit east palestine, joe? when the ultraelite silicon valley bank imploded on friday, it took joe biden less than one business day to send a giant pile of your cash, billions and billions of dollars, to svb to ensure that every sinle millionaire, billionaire, tech ceo and wine maker was repaid in
6:24 pm
full. even the uber wealthy governor of california, he was a client at svb. three of his wine companies, three of them, use the bank. get this. an executive at the bank allegedly sits on the board of his wife's charity. newsom, he failed to mention any of that during his praise of biden's billionaire bailout. instead of making sound financial decisions, svb championed every woke cause and social trend imaginable. they committed $5 billion to, quote, carbon neutral operations to an obsessive company wide focus on race, gender, sexual orientation, everything woke. the bank used all the right buzz words and made all the right, quote, connections. its board was filled with democratic megadonors including one with a passion for improv of the 12 board members only one had significant banking experience. as it turns out the board's
6:25 pm
connection to the democratic party would prove very valuable. the self-proclaimed party of working class always protects their ultrawealthy donors. so both svb and the other bank that imploded, signature, that's barney frank's bank, donated big money to democrats. like svb, signature was also intertwined with the bank. remember dodd frank? that was named after frank, co-author of the dodd frank regulatory bill. that sat on signature's board. he was on the board. he actively lobbied his democratic friends to remove regulations put in place by his own bill. naturally signature also championed woke causes. the chairman of the bank personally led a seminar on gender neutral pronouns. as you can imagine, all signature's clients were also bailed out. another billionaire joe biden buddy. it's your money to pay off
6:26 pm
everybody. by the way, i guess hard work doesn't pay off for the working men and women of this country. it seems like it's who you know, how much money you donate, what left wing cause you champion. this should make you furious as we speak. the biden administration is now essentially printing money to bail out woke millionaires, billionaires that support their party. you will pay every single penny of this. by the way, for everything sent through inflation, speaking of which, inflation contributes to this climb up 6% since last year. here with reaction from the hit show shark tank, kevin o'leary. mr. o'leary, sir. how are you? >> very good. thank you. >> hannity: did i get this right that you had money in svb? a lot of money? >> i had many companies that we invest in our private equity portfolio from circle on down. circle had about $3 billion. it was the largest deposit or.
6:27 pm
when you're in my situation, you don't care that much about politics. you care about policy. so you make your decisions every day. my job is to get up and put millions of dollars to work. i really care about policy. what i see here, you know, regardless of where you stand in politics, it's a pretty bad policy. what we did, in my view, personal opinion, over the weekend is to nationalize the american banking system. we basically told everybody around the world regardless of who you are and what bank you're in, no matter how much you have, we guarantee it. we don't care who you are or why it's there. but no matter what happens, it's guaranteed. just think about it. i'd like to keep this very simple. i'm a bank manager in a bank today, after this new policy decision. i get compensated on the value of my bank's stock. you just told me i could take all the depositor's money, go to
6:28 pm
las vegas, put it on red, maybe i double it, maybe i lose it all, but it doesn't matter to me because you, the taxpayer, and the government, guarantee all my depositors. as long as i play by the rules that we have now and the football rules of banking, i get to go crazy. i think this is a very bad mistake. >> hannity: you called it a victory for idiot bank managers. i'm not trying to get into your own personal finances. the reason i was asking that question is that we all know the fdic insures up to $250,000. i'm assuming that you had a lot more money in there than $250,000. so you will be the beneficiary of this bailout like every other depositor at svb. however, the difference between you and probably everybody else is you are saying this bank should not be bailed out. am i wrong on that? >> no, you're not.
6:29 pm
this bank was run by idiots with an incompetent board. it's one bank no one ever heard the name before. >> hannity: why the hell did you -- kevin, you are a smart guy. why did you keep your money there if it was run by idiots? >> it's one of many, many banks i keep my money in. i'm a big boy. my whole point is if you have more than $250,000 in any institution, you're basically a hedge fund or savvy investor or business. you understand your risks and you act accordingly. i think the fed's mandate about keeping fdic insured at $250,000 is good to me. what i would have preferred is to allow this bank, run by idiots, and i'm sorry to say these harsh words. it's a fact. silicon valley bank is the poster boy for idiot management now.
6:30 pm
that brand is radio active waste. so at the end of the day, let this thing go under 'cause that's our democratic capitalist system. when you're an idiot and it goes to zero, that's okay. most of the people who had money including me above $250,000 in my portfolio company. we can take the hit. i get it. that happens sometimes. but i'll tell you what i have done since then. i have told all my ceo's in all of our portfolios, we don't want any more than 20% in any one institution so diversified across many institutions. frankly, what i see now as an investor in bank stocks, i won't invest any more. you're basically telling me that from now on the regulatory environment on small regional banks is going to be so punitive i don't think they can make money any more. remember this. this is the really key issue for everybody in america to think about. there are 11 sectors in our economy. we are the greatest economy on
6:31 pm
earth. one of them is financial services. it's the only sector that services all other ten. we have to make a decision. do we want to turn this into a utility to serve the other ten or do we want to it be private? if it's private you have to let the idiots go to zero. we didn't do that. >> hannity: we thank you for coming on. the author of, i have my copy, super power in peril, a battle plan to renew america, former ceo of bridgewater associates dave mccormack and fox business host david asman. you can get this on amazon.com, h hannity.com. it's a great book. you know business as well as anybody. we see these banks collapsing. you see joe biden in less than 24 hours come in with a big billionaire, millionaire bailout. was that the right call?
6:32 pm
what should he have done and how could this have been prevented? i'll add one thing. jp morgan in november predicted all of this would happen. why didn't the government see it happening? >> the writing was on the wall. no, i don't think they took the right action in bailing out. i would be opposed to that. let me start with the big picture. this is a canary in the coal mine. this is indicative of excess. excess spending that we've seen under the biden administration and excessively low interest rates for a prolonged period. that's created a liability asset mismatch on the balance sheets of banks. this is a real problem. it's a problem that's been created by bad policy and incredibly significant spending under joe biden. but what happened with silicon valley bank also made much worse by the fact, as kevin was just saying, completely terrible management of the risk associated with this bank.
6:33 pm
it should have been evident to it all. this is a failure of not too few regulations. it's a failure of the regulators, the san francisco fed and the fdic, to be monitoring this. what happened here would have been obvious. so now what they've done, they first of all should have ideally sold this over the weekend. it is not clear why that didn't happen. what they've done, they fired management, which was correct. they penalized the creditors. equity has been blown out. the creditors have been penalized. what they've done, they've protected the uninsured depositors. i'm worried about that for two reasons, sean. the first reason, the guy who was doing the landscaping on the head quarters at svb that owed him 10,000 bucks, he's out of money. he's not going to get paid. the rich venture capital guys that had significant uninsured deposits, he is getting paid. so there's an inherent unfairness like what you were saying about east palestine and the disconnect. the second problem is theed
6:34 pm
moral hazard that's been created here. we are not hearing anybody talk about moral hazard. what this does, it creates behavior. everybody expects that their uninsured deposits will be protected. there's $8 trillion of uninsured deposits. the biden administration has created consequences by taking these steps so quickly and without enough thought of what the ramification would be. >> hannity: i don't like being lied to. joe biden is lying to the american people when he says the american taxpayer won't pay for this. we will pay every penny. either the new charges at our banks, etc. the bigger issue is this. we have biden economic policies and biden energy policies. he inherents 1.4% inflation rate and goes to 9.1%. we had another bad number today.
6:35 pm
as a result, you have a bank like svb, they put how much money in ten year treasuries. and meanwhile, the depositors want their money back so they have to cash in long term investments. some of the dumbest strategies i have ever heard of. why they ever did that, i don't know. maybe they thought interest rates would stay low forever. a bad bet. my question is, why should the american taxpayer be on the hook for this? >> well, we shouldn't be, but we are being put on the hook by the people who are supposed to be in charge. you talked about those groups of woke people. one group you didn't talk about were the central bankers, the people who are supposed to be monitoring, to use kevin's language the referees in the football game are just as stupid as the worst possible team you could possibly be playing with. they believe in this thing called modern monetary which is this woke idea that you can
6:36 pm
print as much money as you want if you are a central bank and there will be no consequence. interest rates won't go up. we know that's dead wrong. we've seen that in the past year. americans are suffering because of that terrible mistake. but they work hand and glove, these supervisors, with the bankers. of course, they threw in all the woke jargon with respect to woke etc. this crazy idea that inflation wouldn't come about by printing more money. you are going to have the fed printing money to pay for it. you will end up with inflation. they talked about the head of the san francisco federal reserve board, mary daily, the queen of the woke crowd. she, in fact, said last year she said, i don't feel the pain of inflation any more. i see prices rising but i have enough money. that's because she makes $420,000 a year.

it's these elites that are working together to screw the middle class. >> hannity: david asman, thank you. i look at this book, super power in peril. i really worry this great country of ours is in peril. i can't think of a more timely release date. dave mccormick, thank you. straight ahead, while democrats flounder the 2024 republican primary is starting to take shape. we'll bring you the latest updates. thanks for being with fox. this man needs updated covid protection. so does she. yup, these guys too. because covid is still out there, and so are you. and if your last vaccine was before september 2022, you're out there with fading protection. but an updated vaccine restores your protection. so you can keep doing you. get an updated covid vaccine and stay out there, safely. i'm feeling better.
