>> brian: i will say this. i think that bret and martha would do a phenomenal job and they wouldn't be bringing up obamacare and not talk about inflation. i think you would find them extremely fair. i know you have dealt with both of them before. so let's go out to lawrence who is in pennsylvania right? we're going to go tout to lawrence? >> steve: in just a moment. >> ainsley: i think in just a moment. >> brian: just to finish up on that point. >> by the way lawrence is doing a very good job i have to say. he really is. >> ainsley: he is. >> steve: out of nowhere after the event last night taylor swift endorsed kamala harris, what do you think? >> i actually like mrs. -- [laughter] , i actually like mrs. mahomes much better if you want to know the truth. she is a big trump fan. i was not a taylor swift fan. it was just a question of time. she couldn't -- you couldn't possibly endorse biden. you look at biden.
4:01 am
you couldn't possibly endorse him. but she is a very liberal turner person. she seems to always endorse a democrat she will probably pay a price for it in the marketplace. but, no. i like brittany. i think brittany is great. she got a lot of news last week. she's is a big maga fan that's the one i like more than taylor swift. >> brian: britney. >> steve: mahomes. my favorite team kansas city. >> she is fantastic. >> ainsley: lawrence jones who we know you think is doing a great job. there he is live in a diner. is he also in pennsylvania. is he in washington, pennsylvania. is he talking to the people and i think, lawrence, right? so folks in the diner want to ask the president questions? >> lawrence: that's exactly right, ainsley. let's bring it out to the people. mr. president, not a lot from the moderators about the issues last night. in this swing state of pennsylvania these issues are
4:02 am
true. sir you own a car dealership, part owner of it -- you say this is your birthday by the way. >> yes. >> lawrence: what is your question for the president? >> good morning, president trump. >> good morning. >> my question is what are some of the immediate steps you will take to improve the economy and get us out of this mess that biden and harris have left us in? >> right. great question. the first thing i would do is close up the up about border. people have to come into our country legally. they can't come in the way they are doing now. we have millions and millions of people come in. even on a monthly basis. and they are destroying our country and it effects our economy other thing is drill baby drill. i will would be drilling and get energy prices. i will introduce your energy by half within 12 months. half. i hope that lawrence, if you are listening, lawrence. i hope you go and do a little shout-out poll. i don't know the people there but i love the people there. i can see it why don't you do a shout-out poll who they thought won the debate last night. it will be great.
4:03 am
>> lawrence: you know we always do the poll at the end. >> why don't you do it while i'm on the phone. [cheers] [chanting fight fight fight] >> lawrence: mr. president, this lady right here is concerned about the future of the country and concerned about the grandkids and concerned about the stress on these parents. ma'am, what is your question for the former president? >> i would like to know what kind of programs or policies he could implement to reduce the parental stress with parents having to work 1, 2 -- i have family members who are working three jobs trying to make ends meet right now. >> yeah. >> spend are more and more time away from their families. >> that's right. we have big. >> lawrence: what are you going to do on day one, mr. president? >> child care is a number one priority. i have no choice because i have a daughter named ivanka. and maybe you have never heard of my ivanka. i have a daughter named ivanka. that's all she talks to me about is child care for the people. she is the one that got it
4:04 am
started and marco rubio helped a lot. a lot of the republican senators. we put in a great child care and we'll be expanding that and that will help you a lot. >> lawrence: so, mr. president, we got a young voter right here. not all the young people are voting for kamala harris but you have a concern about the media and cutting through the noise there. what is your question for the former president? >> hello, president trump. >> hi. >> i'm curious on how you are going to come bat all the fake news and breakthrough some of the noise to get the undecided voters to vote for you this november. >> lawrence: good question, mr. president. what are you going to do? >> that's a great question. you really do it by doing a show like this with lawrence and the group. you have to get your word out. and you don't have a fair media. you have a very liberal biased media i have no idea why. i actually have no idea. think of it. they don't want walls. they don't want borders. they don't want good economies. the things they want are destructive to our country. but, i will tell you that it's
4:05 am
very important if you are doing what imauto doing, you have to do shows like this. that's another thing, kamala doesn't do any shows. she doesn't do interviews. she doesn't talk to people. she doesn't do anything like that. and that's not fair to the public because they don't know what they are getting. but they saw last night what they had. they had a rigged show with somebody that maybe even had the answers. i will be honest. i watched her talk, and i said you know, she seems awfully familiar with the questions. you get pretty good at that stuff after a while. but, when i saw how totally rigged that was. i take a look at it, and i watch and i say, you know, you have to get out there and one of the things i did is i said let's do this show at like what time is it 6:30 in the morning. and it's an honor to do it but you have to go out and you have to do the shows. you have to go out and do media. and some of the media is honest. it's not all dishonest. that's the good news but much of it is. i would say close to 80%.
4:06 am
i mean seriously dishonest. >> lawrence: so mr. president the final question, we are in pennsylvania. we cannot let this interview end without talking about fracking. there's a lot of people concerned about what happened on the debate stage last night and that kamala harris' position wasn't fully prosecuted yesterday. the people know that she flip flopped on the issue. >> right. >> how are you going to make the case so you can win pennsylvania? >> so, i'm leading in pennsylvania in just about all the polls. and i'm leading by some in a lot. one of the issues fracking. i have been for fracking from -- like the day i was born. always fracking. she has always been against it. and she has been against it strongly. and if she won, she would end fracking in pennsylvania 100 percent. she would end it and that would be it. all she is doing is she just changed her view just a very short time ago. she went oh, i'm totally in favor of fracking all of a sudden. she is totally against it.
4:07 am
you haver clip and sean hannity plays them every night every clip she is against fracking. all of a sudden she is losing the polls. she is not them. her president is doing horribly. how did he do in the debate. at least she could speak. her president goes down. they did a palace coup on the president. she comes out and she does fracking. so i say to the people of pennsylvania. you know what you have with trump and i'm with you. i went to school in pennsylvania. my friends in pennsylvania. and i'm a fracker and that's 500,000 jobs in pennsylvania. and a lot of your income pennsylvania would be devastated if they take that away. she will obviously take that away. she will take away drilling in texas. she is going to take away. they ended inwar. enwar.i got it approved and thed it. and nobody can believe they did
4:08 am
biggest site in the world they ended it first week in office. they cut the keystone pipeline. they would end fracking. keystone pipeline one of the biggest pipelines in the world they ended it in the first day, the first week he that he was in office. they will end fracking because she is not a fracker and they will also take away your guns. they will confiscated your guns mr. president, thank you so much for talking to the folks here in pennsylvania at the i know you have a prior commitment to go visit the heroes 9/11. >> i want you to take that poll soon. you got take that poll so can i watch it. thank you very much everybody. thank you. [applause] >> ainsley: thank you, president trump. >> steve: thank you, indeed. all right. >> brian: one thing under reported there is a total pause on lng exports that directly effects pennsylvania right now. if she is for tracking, why not starts it up again?
4:09 am
>> brian: you can't get leases. you talk to anybody in the oil and gas business. they are all sidelined. especially in the gulf. they are not even drilling. >> and they feel it in pennsylvania as well, brian. that's why there was so much discussed here that the issue wasn't highlighted, the energy policy. i mean, we are talking about something that is going to impact just not -- not just pennsylvania energy policy, but every single price. when you go to the grocery store. when you are looking at that inflation. parltd of that is the energy cost. >> steve: absolutely. it costs money to get stuff into the stores if you are just joining at 7:08 on the east coast. president trump joined us for an half hour ago and spoke about the debate last night. he made it clear he felt last night that he won the debate. it was his best debate. but he also said and put out on social media that it was three against one. it was kamala harris and the two abc moderators as well. here he is just a little while
4:10 am
ago right here on this show. >> because when you looked at the fact that they were correcting everything, and not correcting with her. and we knew it when it was 100 percent good conch for her over the last month or last year. i looked at it and only bad conch of me no matter what. the press is so dishonest in this country it's amazing. now, i didn't mind because i was pretty sure that's what they would do. cnn was much more honorable the debate we had with biden was much more honorably won debate. this was incredible. i mean, everything -- so many things i said were debunked, totally debunked like charlottesville. like i have a list of seven different things. and she could say anything she wanted. every time i spoke my stuff was right. they would correct you. i thought it was a terrible from the standpoint of abc, they are the most dishonest in my opinion
4:11 am
the most dishonest news organization. and that is saying a lot because they are all essentially really dishonest. but, i thought i did a great job. it was three on one and i thought i did a great john. >> he had to spend more time last night defending himself and fact-checking her because the moderators weren't doing that definitely one sided. only fact checked him and never questioned her when she talked about ivf, she said that he will deny ivf treatment. he has never said that so he says that's a lie. i have been a leader in ivf. she said twice, talked about two times that i counted at least about project 25. she said in his project 2025, it's not his, it's the heritage foundation, they will monitor your body, meaning trump and his team will monitor your body. then she said you will hear trump lie and right after that she connected him to project 2025. so she is lying there after she is accusing him of lying. we asked donald trump about this
4:12 am
and how frustrating this might have been for him. listen to what he said. >> ivf. i was a leader on ivf. the ivf, which is fertilization, i was a total leader on that. when i first heard about it, like right from the beginning, i was one of the leaders on it and the republican party has been a leader on it. she tried to say it was just the opposite. the whole thing was abortion what he said. i mean, it was incredible. i think he corrected me six times and each time. >> steve: mr. president. >> i believe each time i was right. didn't correct her at all. >> steve: i interrupted him because they were unfurling the flag there at the pentagon. yes, lawrence? >> lawrence: well, i also think it is important that the follow-up from the former president was what month is oak? six? seventh? eighth? when the baby was born? there was not a question. there was not an answer from kamala harris. >> ainsley: she just said come
4:13 am
on. >> lawrence: she brushed it off. come on. she learned that from her boss, too of the come on man moment. there hasn't been a defining moment from the democratic party on what is okay. they keep painting the republicans as radicals when it comes to abortion. but they won't tell you when month is okay and what's not okay, guys. >> brian: i was surprised they didn't talk about afghanistan and talk about the biggest disaster history. what did you say when you were the last one in the room. we know president biden told obama don't go for obama that's a risk. what did kamala harris say? great idea, with our troops gone. let's just leave. what would go wrong? it is the biggest disaster and she totally escaped. i'm shocked that they quickly perried to the 2020 election and then they talked about -- you want to get rid of obamacare. what's your new replacement as opposed to her saying i want
4:14 am
medicare for all? it seems as though they had their own agenda, lawrence. [lost audio] >> steve: lawrence, we're having a little problem with your audio with the live view at this point. a lot of broadband going on. meanwhile, we do actually have one of the great things when we do a diner segment and we have got the former president i will actually answer questions from the people who are having breakfast here he is in the very patriot town of washington, d.c., pennsylvania talking to lawrence who is talking to somebody who has got the number one question. and this is how are you going to put more money in my pocket? >> my question is what are some of the immediate steps that you will take to improve the economy and get us out of this mess shah biden and harris left us in? >> right. great question. the first thing i would do is close up the border.
4:15 am
people have to come into our country legally. they can't come in the way they are doing now we have millions and millions of people come in. even on a month, on a monthly basis and destroying our country and it evenings our economy. the other thing i would do is drill baby drill. i would be drilling and get energy prices. and i will reduce your energy by half in 12 months. half. >> steve: that is something he has said from the get-go, first thing. drill baby drill. >> brian: now we're going to find out about a second debate. president seems somewhat doubtful a second debate. we will see what happens. we will see where the needle moves. now also, with 55 days left. is the president going to go back to three shorter rallies but maybe three a day? last time we were in 2016 we had like 12 states. it's counsel to seven. maybe down to less if one or two fall off too far or too close or move ahead. but, does he go back to that rallies of three or four a day? that's when he is at his best. lanes p.
4:16 am
>> ainsley: yeah, i agree with you. he is not usually with a teleprompter. is he unscripted amend the crowd loves him. last night kamala said people lee your rally early. i have never seen that happen. >> steve: that got under his skin. >> ainsley: but he said no one goes to your rallies. so, yeah, there were a few moments like that last night. i thought kamala harris the bar was really low because she just had to come out there, get through the debate without her word salads and able to do that and achieve that. she didn't really answer questions about her radical agenda. she still flip-flopping. talking about fracking. she. >> brian: i wonder if she will start doing some interviews? >> ainsley: i would hope so. i think she walked away from that more confident because she was able to do that without the word salad she has that fresh in her mind the answers she has been working on. >> steve: she has been talking to some influencers on monday or sunday she did talk to a radio show host. she is doing some interviews. >> brian: that was ridiculous interview? did you actually see -- you could hear the pages turning with the answers.
4:17 am
>> steve: but, listen, we invited her on the show yesterday. let's see if they take us up on the offer. to say more highlights from the first showdown could be the only showdown between the former president and current vice president. >> brian: peter doocy is at the white house. peter? >> peter: and the moderators had a couple weeks to come up with a game plan. they had a choice. they could either sit back and let the candidates hash out the issues and insert themselves. very quickly the plan that they came up with was apparent. >> there is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after its born. >> president trump, as you know the fbi says overall violent crime is actually coming down on this country. the question was about you as president. not about former speaker pelosi. did i watch all of these pieces of video. i didn't detect the sarcasm lost by a whisper. >> vice president harris says hate israel. >> did bring up something went to negotiate with vladimir putin. vice president harris have you ever met vladimir putin? >> still yes or no you still do not have a plan? >> peter: they did ultimately
4:18 am
didn't try to president down issues. most of that was coming from the other side of the stage. >> do you believe americans are better off than they were four years ago? >> i am actually the only person on this stage who has a plan that is about lifting up the working class and working people of america. >> they had the highest inflations perhaps in the history of our country i have never seen a worst period of time. people can't buy out and buy cereal or bacon or eggs or anything else. >> i will not ban fracking. i have not ban fracking as vice president of the united states. >> fracking? she has been against it for 12 years. defund the police. she has been against that forever. >> peter: taylor swift said she watched and made a long expected endorsement. quote i will be casting my vote for harris and twaltz. i have done my research and i have made my choice. although donald trump claims that anyone who likes the harris platform would actually prefer his ideas.
4:19 am
>> everything she believed three years ago and four years ago is out the window. going to my philosophy. in fact i was going to send her a maga hat. >> i'm going to invite to you attend one of donald trump's rallies. people start leaves his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom. >> people don't leave my rallies. i'm talking now mind if you don't mind, please. does that sound familiar. >> donald trump was fired by 81 million people. >> peter: after today's remembrance by both candidates september 11th attacks. tomorrow they are both going to go out and they are hoping to flip. trump is going to go to arizona. harris is going to go north carolina. back to you. >> steve: it's a sprint to the finish. peter, thank you very much. >> brian: trump is going to go over to utah and do some speeches and fundraising out there. >> steve: he is going to shanksville, pennsylvania today. >> ainsley: he is he has been a big defender of israel, 9/11 is a day that he wants to memorialize. both candidates are actually going to new york city to be
4:20 am
with the 9/11 families. and to shanksville, pennsylvania. we asked him about this earlier. listen. >> i'm going down to the world trade center sight. and i will be down there for much of it. j.d. is going with me. horrible day. never been anything like it. just a horrible day. and then going to pennsylvania, of course. so i'm going to be doing both of them. sometimes i will do all three. sometimes it doesn't work out when they are sort of simultaneously done. we will be doing two of them today. >> brian: the president was down there a couple days after. he was the host of the apprentice. 9/11 happened. within a day or two he went down to 9/11 gave his reflection what it's going to take to many do back. he was in new york city in his office the day of the 9/11 attacks. the pete hegseth you were motivated to actually join the military after 9/11 attacks. and you are downtown right now. >> pete: absolutely. in a morning that for those that were here as it's described is a lot like that morning. a blue sky morning.

people heading to work. 23 years later and 23 years ago. all of our lives changed. you guys were reporting on it live in studio. others watched. they remember exactly where they were in that moment. and there was horror. there was heroism. there was rescues. there are names we will never forget. we will talk to some of those later today. and then there was unity, guys, on 9/12 our nation was united like we have never seen before in rallying around the flag. around the first responder, around the heroes of flight 93. around those that were going to go find those responsible that rubble pile speech that president bush gave it united our country there are plenty who remember there will be remembrances here i don't forget and you don't forget. feels a bit like we are in 9/10. the day before 9/11 with an immigration policy that is not blocking terrorists from getting into our country. the porous borders, known

terrorists on the watch list coming across our border. who is in charge of afghanistan right now. the taliban is back in charge because of the disastrous biden harris withdrawal. we lost those 13 americans. the taliban is holding parades with our military equipment. who has terror camps in afghanistan again? al-qaeda. and so when it comes to our border and the threat of terrorism, those in charge, that's who were in touch with folks in afghanistan and understand what is happening in our country say the threat level is as high as 9/10 or possibly higher domestically you see here in new york city groups like hamas have a foot hold in protesting having sympathizers inside new york city. there is a sense that far too many measures have forgotten what happened on 9/11 and we have reverted back to a 9/10 mind set instead of 9/12. today we salute just the heroes. 3,000 lost over 400 first

responders that charged into those building. the heroes of flight 93. those in the pentagon. brian as you pointed out those who can continue to suffer from ground zero related deaths because of that response and that ongoing response to that rubble pile. we won't forget. i'm proud to be down here. and we're going to hear from great folks later on in the program. >> brian: yeah, pete. 28 lost their lives. 9/11 related deaths. 370 since 2001. and the losses are still happening. >> steve: and it's hard to believe and is he absolutely right. we were on the couch 23 years ago. it seems like it was a million years ago sometimes and it seems like it was two years ago sometimes as well. >> ainsley: pete, we found under biden and harris 375 on the terror watch list suspects trying to get across our border. that's pretty scary. all it takes is one. those are the numbers that we know. >> steve: coming up in one hour we will actually play the video.
4:24 am
we only play the video one time a year where the buildings collapsed because so many lives were lost that day we play it so people never forget. that is coming up one hour from right now. in the meantime. >> ainsley: thank you, pete. we are talking to senator chris murphy that's next. ♪ ♪

>> steve: last night the vice president was pressed on her numerous flip-flops like banning fracking and abolishing private healthcare insurance during the debate on abc. did you miss it? then listen. >> the last one for president you said you wanted to ban fracking now you don't. i know you say that your values have not changed. so then why have so many of your policy positions changed? >> so my values have not changed. i made that very clear in 2020. i will not ban fracking. i have not banned fracking as vice president of the united states. >> vice president harris, in 2017 you supported bernie sanders' proposal to do away with private insurance and create a government-run healthcare system. two years later you proposed a plan that included a private insurance option. what is your plan today? >> well, first of all, i absolutely support and over the

last four years as vice president private healthcare options. but what we need to do is maintain and grow the affordable care act. >> steve: okay. that was last night. now live from the philly area we have got harris campaign surrogate senator chris murphy of connecticut. senator, good morning to you. >> good morning. >> steve: so, it was a fair question of the vice president about what is up with the flip-flops? because you know she has changed her position, whether it is fracking, medicare for all. or the border wall, the things she said four years ago, five years ago doesn't stand for that anymore. she didn't really answer how she made that transformation. >> yeah. remember when donald trump was pro-choice. for an assault weapons ban? donald trump has a lot of answering to do why his positions have changed. j.d. vance used to think that donald trump was the greatest threat to democracy now he is his biggest cheerleader.
4:31 am
i thought kamala harris did a fantastic job last night. she won the debate hands down. she was demanding. she looked presidential. donald trump was melting down within a half an hour. he did not look like somebody who was ready to run this country. he was deeply scared and confused at most moments. i thought she did a good job clarifying her position on fracking. she has never supported banning fracking. in fact, very proud of the fact that under the biden-harris administration we are drilling for more oil and exploring for more gas than we were under the trump administration. she believes that we should do fracking but do it in a safe way. you know, donald trump's answers to many solve the same questions were incoherent. kamala harris stated very clearly what she wants to do when it comes to healthcare. that she wants to strengthen the affordable care act. expand it. lower prescription drug costs. donald trump says maybe i have some secret plan i might reveal later on to replace the affordable care act.
4:32 am
it was nonsense from donald trump. kamala harris did a very good job explaining what she supports and clarifying her positions on important issues to people in pennsylvania like fracking. >> steve: she said how she feels today. and a lot of it has changed because we have heard from some of her aides, they whispered to newspapers okay she doesn't stand for that anymore. senator, here is just a little flashback video to remind people what she said once upon a time. >> there's no question i'm in favor of banning fracking. i actually feel very strongly about this is we need to have medicare for all. >> steve: so, here's the thing. politicians, you're a politician, politicians do change their points of view, j.d. vance has, donald trump has, i'm sure you have. but i think people just wanted to hear the vice president say okay i changed my position because of this. you know, maybe it's because she has worked in the white house five years. she saw things. whatever, she just didn't say that and i think that was a
4:33 am
missed opportunity. >> yeah. you are right. i have changed my position. when i first came into the united states congress. i supported a complete ban on offshore drilling and i heard from my constituents. and i learned a little bit something about how you can do offshore drilling in a responsible, safe way and i ultimately publicly changed my position. i will let the vice president speak for herself as to why she believes that we can safely frac for gas in this country but it likely has to do with the fact that the technology has changed and we can do it more safely today. but, again, i thought, you know, her answers last night stood in contrast to donald trump who, you know, really didn't offer any specific policies. i geles i heard him talk about building the wall again. i heard him talk about his national sales tax. but, other than that, donald trump didn't offer any plan to lower the cost of housing. he didn't offer any plan to make healthcare better. he, you know, offered no plans to try to save ukraine or to end
4:34 am
the war in gaza. donald trump was just engaged in more of the same. these personal attacks, these whopper lies -- whopper scale lies and kamala harris was talking over and over again about specific policies and regular people. that's why 92% of swing voters in wing states say that she won the debate last night because she was just better prepared and more specific about the policies she supports. >> steve: we had the former president on about an hour ago. he, his point of view, senator is he won the debate. we asked him if he would accept kamala harris' campaign's challenge of another debate, he said meh, maybe not. he felt like, you know, why bother? i just won that debate. so, explain why the kamala harris campaign, senator, wants another debate. if she did so well last night. >> yeah. listen, i think it's a good thing for the american people to
4:35 am
see those two candidates on stage together. they see one candidate. kamala harris, who is composed. who looks presidential. and they see the other candidate, donald trump, melting down on stage, offering these wild lies, still telling the country that he won the 2020 election. making up things about immigrants pets. that's why 90% of people thought kamala harris won the debate. if donald trump thinks he won, then he should be eager as a campaign tactic to gets back up on that stage. but, of course we know that he knows he lost. he knows last night was a disaster. that's why he rushed over to the spin room last night to change the narrative and that's why he debate.sing this morning to refusing even a debate on fox news. he rejected your network's offer to debate. that's the friendliest territory for donald trump and he won't even debate on fox news because he knows that when he and kamala harris are on a stage together, he just doesn't look like a leader and she does. >> steve: well, he did not
