those cuts permanent is to do a rescission package in order to claw back some of these funds that have already been appropriated by congress. now, the other part of this meeting is likely to give lawmakers a chance to ask elon musk some pretty direct questions, concerns that their constituents might have back at home we have seen disruptions happening during town halls whether or not they are paid activists like speaker johnson. have space to ask elon some questions about doge's operation. listen. >> i think we will also have an opportunity to share with mr. musk some of the concerns that we may have on hey, here's some concerns we are seeing in our district and have you thought about this, that, or the other? >> >> so we will see how long this meeting goes. the meeting earlier today with senate republicans lasted for about two hours. a very long time. and that was just about 50 people. so this one going to be a packed

usurp the article 2 authority of the executive branch? so i hope that congress steps up on the cuts and senate republicans realize there's a disturbing trend to run out the clock on this administration to have these judges to be able to have a pocket veto against president trump's mandates given to him by the american people. >> laura: you have district court judges usually, charlie, selected in areas where they know disproportionate number of appointees, first circuit or boston or connecticut or d.c. or out in pacific northwest flow will find a friendly judge that judge goes okay, the president has no authority. that is just ludicrous. the administration has to go directly to the supreme court on that question and there is a process for doing that. but, the doj, and the slitter general's office has to push against these nationwide injunctions because i think that's really going to be the only weapon in the first two years that the democrats can

deploy here. >> it's the only weapon and it is the strategy of trying to run out the clock. they are trying to flood the zone with so much nationwide injunction that the supreme court cannot practically be able to rule on all of these cases if there is 100 or 200 sweeping nationwide injunctions, maybe half of them will end up being heard by the u.s. supreme court. this is a run out the clock strategy that they tried during the first trump administration is that the republicans they needed to get very wise about the new litmus test when they ask these new judges that come up for hearing do you believe this is okay? clarence thomas is 2018 wrote billionthly, he said the idea of a nationwide sweeping injunction did not exist for the first 150 years of this republic and the idea that a district court judge can repeatedly be able to undermine the president doesn't have the authority to execute the laws? this is a constitutional crisis to use a term that our friends in the left always used if we are not serious about getting
