eliminated from the fox business network undercard debate. financially, pataki's campaign was struggling, spending more than he was taking in. pataki was governor of new york from 1995 to 2020, presiding over the state ring the 9/11 attacks. jenna: an apartment fire in sloan today took seven different departments to finally put out. and more than a dozen people have been displaced from their homes. the fire started around 10 am at the prairie apartment cocolex on buckley street in sloan. as crews were getting there, two womeme jumped from the second flooer to try to get away the flames. they were taken to mercy medical center in sioux city and were treated for non life treatening injuries. below freezing temperatures caused some extra problems in putting out the fire. "we had flames visible from the second floor from one of the window. by the time we arrived on scene, law enforcement had evacuated both buildings," said sloanan fire chief, lee blanchard. everyone displaced in the

place to stay. fire officials aren't sure yet how the fire started. jenna: a cherokee, iowa woman is being charged with attempted murder after police say she intentionally drove into the path of an ononming vehicle. the crash happened in plymouth county back in september. melissa ebert was driving on county road c-38 with a passenger in the car, when she collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. ebert, her passenger and the driver of the other vehicle were all seriously injured. ebert is charged with two counts of attempt to commit murder and 2nd offense o-w-i. jenna: federal appeals court is upholding lengthy prison terms for sioux city brothers convicted in the armed robbery of two drug dealers. the court upheld a life sentence issued to 24- year-old jamal dean and a 30-year term for his older brother, levon. in a separate case, jamal dean also received a 25-year sentence when he plead guilty to attempted murder for shooting a sioux city police officece authorities sasa

local drug dealers on two occasions in 2013. jenna: the new hornick city clerk uncovered thousands of city clerk uncovered thousands of dollars of misspent funds dating back more than a decade. an audit of the city o ohornick identified more e than 130 thousanan dollars of unsupported expeditures since 2003. 18-thousand of that money was improperly used, about half went to two city clerks serving during that time. the report stated that the city did not document spending costs such as employee wages, phone charges, equipment and office supplies. "the report is complete at this int so we will not be doing any further investigation into the 115,000 dollars. we'll simply say that that is the amount during this 11 year period of timehat was spent that had no documentation." the report has been forwarded on to local authorites to see if any charges may apply.

shooting and illegal butchering of a cow. it happened north of menlo, a town 40 miles west of des moines. the sheriff's office was investigating a nearby attempted robbery at the time of the discovery. they believe the two incidents are connected. clair powell from our des moines station brings us more on christmas morning, keith partlow was doing chores & getting ready for family christmas. until his phone rang.
