jenna: rand paul refused to participate in the undercard debate last night that took place just before the main debate. he was booted from the main stage because of low poll numbers. but rather than participate with other low-polling gop candidates, he decided to boycott the gathering. instead, he held a question-and- answer session at the twitter headquarters in new york, which he put on periscope. tim: an akron man accusesein the 2014 death of his mother is fit to stand trtrl. that's the word today from a plymouth county judge. a competency hearing for jonathan neunaber was first ordered in september 2015 after it was determined he suffered from a mental disorder. experts evaluated

judge's ruling. jonathan neunaber is charged with 1st degree murder in connection to the death of his mother, 80-year- old esther neunaber in july of 2014. a trial date has not yet been set. jenna: annmate in the emmet county jail was found dead in his cell yesterdrd morning. 51 year old lee roy hum was found unresponsive in his cell by jail staff. the staff administered first aid before he was transported to the hospital in esterville. hum had been arrested and booked into the jail on an outstanding county warrant. tim: a school bus accident sent a handful of people to the hospital near sac city. the bus hit a truck at the intersection of rolf avenue and highway 20. the driver of the truck and both his passengers, taken to a nearby hospital. two of the four children on the bus were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. the scscol bus driver was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign. jenna: big news today if

mayor bob scott announced this morning that american airlines will be adding service to their hub in dallas. the flights will begin in may. dallas is a top destination for business and leisure travel... and the mayor says he's glad the airport can expand what it offers the community. sioux city mayor bob scott says, " we're very thankful for that and were thankful for the partners we had in this process, or the communities represented here, we all undndstand the importance of the sioux city airport, it's an airport that serves this area" tickets go on sale tomorrow. tim: a 6 hour tim: a 6 hour spacewalk outside the international space had to be cut short today after moisture formed inside the helmet of u-s astronaut tim kopra. the walk was aborted about two-thirds the way through t kopra and a european astronaut did complete their main task of unboltting the station's failed

heading to places where a certain virus is present. it's all because of the mosquito- bourne zika virus in latin america. experts think there could be a link to a disorder that causes developmental issues in babies. there is no vaccine to block the virus and no medicine to treat it. jea: new data shows women are waiting longer to become mothers. the c-d-c says its been rising for the last 15-years. andrew spencer has the details in today's health minute. " " the average age of women having their first child has risen to 26. that's the word from the centers from disease control and prevention. back in 2000, it was just under 25- years-old... by 20-14... it had risen to 26. researchers say this is partly because there are fewer mothers under the age of 20. in fact, te teen birth rate has hit an all-time low. economic factors also play a role... with an increased number of women putting off motherhood for higher education or a career. this also has ramifications for the u-s population. having children later in life means fewer child-bearing years, and therefore, fewer children. one area of concern, doctors say older women having children increases a mothers risk of
