this this is the news on this cooler day. here's what is happening out there. sean. >> reporter: investigators have spent hours here at the scene of a death investigation in denver. we'll have a live report coming up. we're still awaiting word on what caused a school bus crash that left a douglas county bus driver dead how legacy high school is reacting to coaches they caught a man peeping in a teenager's window. live, this is cbs 4 morning news. >> we have weather to deal with this morning. let's get a look. >> lauren is tracking the cooler temperatures and the question is, is there rain coming our way? >> there is rain around town, mainly on the west side of

the fog is thick in some spots and worse in monument hills we're going to talk about the fog in a moment. we're watching the cdot cam to the west for this reason. look at the moisture and the fog heading out of the hills, be careful of that this morning. a different situation in town. >> thank you. and this is the news breaking in denver this morning. a neighborhood transformed into a crime scene as police investigate a death it's happening in the 5500 block of xanadu street. sean, what can you tell us? >> reporter: quite the change in 30 minutes behind me, there were several crime scene vehicles in this area as well as the denver coroner and we saw a closed off area which was the intersection of xanadu and maxwell.

going on. around 9:00 last night, we were told they were here for a death investigation. and since then, we have seen more patrol cars and cruisers come by. the crime scene spent about 3 hours here. as they took up the area, they were spending a lot of time at one house in particular. the intersection of maxwell is the area they had closed off and on the west saw them going in and out within the last ten minutes, they have opened up the area. in checking with police this morning, all they can tell us is that there's a death investigation at the scene and we're waiting to learn more from them. we hope to get details later today. live in denver, cbs 4 morning news >> broncos line backer says he will meet today with denver police chief to discuss ways to

as a peeping tom. surveillance cameras caught this man looking into the bedroom of a teenage girl they announced who the man is. he lives near by. brown says that the whole thing is a misunderstanding. >> reporter: confused residents >> it's your neighbor you're welcome don't think of your neighbors that way. >> reporter: surveillance video from last month shows the stranger peering into a teenage girl's room trying to go through the front door and going back to the window when he can't get in. the neighbor reported it to the police. >> my husband went to the mailbox and thought he saw the guy in the video, he came home, called the police.

down from the teenage girl. >> he came back and said it was probably somebody that had been drinking and at the wrong house. >> police arrested 36-year-old garrett brown after the video went public. now the community is concerned about a potential peeping tom living in their neighborhood. >> a couple neighbors are getting security systems for their homes. it makes you more cautious your surroundings >> brown faces attempted trespassing and invasion of privacy charges the charges have not yet been accepted by the jefferson

now to the latest on the zika virus. florida is looking for help from washington now that there are 54 cases. >> there are 8 new zika cases in the stat from local mosquitoes. they are looking to see if washington will pass funding. president obama says it's time to get back to work. >> number one, to make sure that the government stays open. number two, to make sure that we're able to adequately fund our efforts to not only deal with the zika outbreaks, but

visibility. it's going to take a little built to mix out. we have some rain moving through. there's rain on the west side. that does not always show up on the satellite and radar we have rain to the west and you can see the rain is moving through out on the eastern plains and some is pretty light. you're not getting a lot of o accumulation on the ground. looking at we may have some rain into the san juans and also have possibly some clearing skies in denver and in parts of the foothills you may see a few breaks in the clouds and a chance for rain to roll in this afternoon and evening, probably about 3:00 in denver. overnight and later this evening, rain into the northwest corner. could be some heavier rainfall overnight and tomorrow morning. more fog out east and more rain

afternoon and evening. 67 in denver and boulder. cooler for the eastern plains 80 over in grand junction and taking a look at the five-day forecast, tomorrow, we're back to the 70s we stay in the 70s throughout the week and into the weekend and have a chance of afternoon storms almost every day. there's fog in the hills this is i-70 and you can barely see. it is affecting the drive into the high country and getting through the morning, we're going want to turn off your lights, keep your lights on, not so you can see but to be seen. in town, a different situation. southbound, we have quite a bit of volume. nothing to slow you down and you can see nice and clearly. we have construction going on you see the orange, that's the road weather index showing us the fog. here we are, a couple side

times look great either direction or both directions along commerce city. we have speeds into the 50s and 60s. thank you. support for students at legacy high school is pouring in and there's a mystery about what happened to the bus driver. a mother whose family is hurting after the crash that killed her. live from the school in broomfield this morning and school has a big decision ahead this morning. >> reporter: that they do. it's been a topic of many meetings since the accident. whether or not the football players should play in their homecoming game this friday. since the beginning of the accident, the district says the priority is taking care of its students it's providing support. but the support has been coming in from outside the school as well it's been incredible coming from far and wide look at this picture. it's a picture all the way from the high school outside of los angeles.

out to play just before the crash. everybody using the hash tag to show support. counselors will continue to be on hand to speak with students and legacy. it happens to be homecoming week this week. while the game is scheduled to go on ay players will play. they had meetings with coaches and staff on the ability to play and whether or not it's even appropriate. some have been getting concussion tests as well to make sure everything is okay to go ahead and play there were a few students injured in the crash. big discussion coming up there's going to be a meeting here at noon to further discuss. the game is to be announced if
