detonated. >> the detonation was necessary to protect the public, protect the residents in the area, and to protect the officers on scene. >> reporter: a massive response from castle rock police, the douglas county bomb squad, the fbi and atf will continue to work through the night to make sure they found all the dangerous explosives inside the house. >> it's too soon to tell if there's more explosive devices in there, but from cursory investigation we didn't find anymore. >> reporter: the parents of teens are cooperating. some of the chemicals are legal, but the explosive materials are not. investigators stopped short of calling it a bomb. >> these are devices that were dangerous, but required additional manipulation or steps to become actual bombs. >> reporter: charges could be possible for the teen, but police say the explosives were

and kingston in denver, and we've learned more about how she died? >> reporter: yeah, jim, the coroner released information today that the young woman found in this highly industrial area, you can see a number of warehouses on this street, was strangled to death. the body was discovered saturday afternoon about 5:30 in this year near 47th and kingston. investigators had a number of streets blocked off for several hours over the police have very little information right now about exactly what may have happened, but the coroner was able to again identify the victim as 23- year-old arsella miranda from denver, and they were able to determine she died from strangulation. if you have information you might be able to help the police in this case, you're asked to call them. live in denver, cbs 4 news. thank you.
