moines, iowa @ 1:13 all of the candidates will be here hosting events throughout the weekend ahead of the caucus. soon we will find o o if tonight's debate has any impact on voters here in iowa. in des moines, i'm jacqueline policastro kcrg trump introduction music meanwhile, donald trump held his own event in des moines at drake university. hundreds came to the event. trums campaign says it held the event to stand up to fox news, while also raising funds for wounded veterans. "for me persrsally is it a good thing? a bad thing? will i get more votes or bad? nobody knows. you're going to like it because we raised over $5 million in one day. over $5 million in one day. " presidential candidates rick santorum and mike huckabee took part in the fox news undercard debate that happened earlier in the night. they then stopped by trump's event. the candidates will keepep pushing with visits leading up to the caucuses on monday. here's a look at some of the events in eastern iowa.

p-m at the university club at the university of iowa. from there he goes to mount pleasant. john kasich will hold at town hall meeting at 11:30 this morning at the national czech and slovak museum and library in cedar rapids. carly fiorina is holding town halls and a meet and greet. she starts here day at noon in marion at the lowe park community center, goes to the sweet spot in independence at 3:30, and will be at the vet's club in waukon at 6:30. and from the democrats, hillary clinton at the five flags center in dubuque at 3:45. from there she goes to davenport. there's good news and bad news when it comes to caucus participation in iowa. the good news s turnout is increasing. but the bad news - it's still a lot less than election turnout. that's according to a coe college political science professor. bruce nesmith says the last two republican caucuses tallied around 120-thousand attendees. and the best guess for the 2008 caucuses for democrats was somewhere around 200- thousand. to put that in perspective,

for governor branstad in 2014 was 664-thousand. presidential elections draw in even more voters. " it's clearly up to legislators to decide what law they want and have law enforcement enforce however any law designed for public safety ofoficers would be suppopoive of that initiative." lawmakers dropped the legal limit to its current level of point zero eight 13 years ago.
