this morning after some rough weather from tropical storm madeline. now everyone's watching hurricane lester. the category 3 storm is moving closer to hawaii. the center of lester will pass close to or over the hawaiian islands this weekend. one red cross volunteer from cedar rapids has left for hawaii. he'll help people get ready for the storm. " our community, the way i look at it, community doesn't stop at the city line or county line, so i'm happy to go to another part of the country and help. " forecasters are predicting lester will have maximum sustained winds near 125 miles per hour. get on the ground, now! hands behind your back this video shows a police officer in waterloo pulling a man's hair, hitting his head, and using strong language during an arrest in april. police just released this yesterday. they say it came after a dangerous high speed chase in waterloo. now a state prosecutor says the officer who

charges. the prosecutor says jurors could potentially understand why officer adam wittmayer was upset. but for 24-year-old montavis keller, that's not the case. police say he's the man who started the high speed chase. that chase reached 90 miles an hour in and out of waterloo. police say keller almost hit wittmayer as he put down spike strips, which eventually ended the chase. police chief dan trelka says his officer's behavior in "even though the officer was almost struck under any circumstances we don't condone that type of behavior that's why we issued an internal investigation and ultimately disciplined the officer" " trelka did not go into the details of that discipline. but he says it was significant a teenager in waterloo is recovering from a gunshot wound he got during a shooting we first reported yesterday. that was one of multiple incidents involving guns that all happened

here's a look at where 3 different incidents occurred- the shooting, then a gunfire incident and a robbery. the crime scenes were scattered all throughout waterloo. police are still trying to figure out if they're connected. the first shooting happened at a home at 319 newell street about 9 wednesday night. according to the waterloo - cedar falls courier, a bullet hit david wright jr in the leg. he's 18. police expect him to recover. earlier this year, someone shot at wright while he was sitting in a car. those shootings happened in april and july. waterloo police hav store robbery or gunfire at a house on west mullan avenue. no one was injured in either incident. a former school bus attendant in cedar rapids faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison for enticing young girls who rode on his bus. tyler konigsmark has pleaded guilty to one count of enticement of minors. he's 20 and from cedar rapids. he says he asked three girls who were 12 to 14 years old for sexually explicit

the 12 year old. the court has not set a sentencing date. family and neighbors in dubuque say they are still grieving over the loss of nancy krapfl. the 66 year old church secretary was on an early morning walk one year ago when police say a man attacked her and beat her to death. family and friends held a vigil in jackson park last night. there, they prayed and released balloons with messages written on them. her family members say she was a selfless person. ",'it's just the anniversary of an event that we hoped would never happen but t isn't the same since her death. police arrested helmon betwell for 1st degree murder and 1st degree sexual abuse in the case. police say he was breaking into cars at the time, saw krapfl at that early hour, and then severely beat her and raped her. he told officers that he had nothing better to do. right now he is in a facility where he can get a psychiatric
