earlier this morning -- firefighters were helping four people who got stuck on a sandbar in the middle of prairie creek near hawkeye dos road in southwesescedar rapids. rapids.cbs 2 news reporter stephanie johnson is live with the latest.stephanie. kevin right kevin right now the scene is clear, but an hour ago rescue crews were here. here.the fire the fire department responded to an emergency call a little before 10 this morning. four people were riding o oan atv when it capsized. rescuers used inflatable boats to bring the people back to land. however before emergency responders could make it to them.....e peopop involved in that accident safely waited for help on a sand bar...responde rs were happy they thought quick on their feet. $ "deploying a response to a river like t ts or a creek is difficult because there are no

going." it's now ultimately up to the districtctttorney as to whether r moses-el will be re-tried. australian police have arrested two men -- charging them with plotting attacks on several targets including a navy base.the two men were taken in during early-morning raids as part of an ongoing anti-terror campaign known as "operation appleby." authorities said there was no specific threat to the community.twelve people have been charged with nearly 40 terror-related offenses in relation to operation appleby since september 20-14. attacks in the united states and paris have forced security to bulk up at major events here at home in the past two months. months.that will continue next week when nearly a million people are in pasadena for the rose bowl and rose parade, where people could be searched before the parade begins. pasadena police are teaming up with the f-b-i -- homeld security and the l-a county sheriff's office.they're telling visitors to leave their hotel rooms early just in case there are delays

ford is now entering the self-driving automobile field. hena danieie reports in today's moneywatch. moneywatch. ford and google are joining forces. the companies are teaming up to build vehicles that can drive themselves reports say the car would be built by ford using google's self-driving technology.the 20-16 enrollment for obamacare is outpacing last year. the department of health and human services says more than 8 million people have signed up via the ****deral** insurance exchange.that doesn't include sign-ups in states with their own exchanges. the government also says more young adults are signing up.the final deadline for obtaining 2016 coverage is january 31st. southwest airlines will pay 2 point 8 million to settle an f-a-a lawsuit over improper repairs of more than a dozen aircraft. the government sued
