county is still investigating the accident, but they do say that the school bus was stopped when they caught -- the car hit it in the rear. i was actually speaking with a neighbor who said his granddaughter was getting off the bus at the time it was hit and the school bus lights were on. her injuries were only minor. traffic has been stopped since the accident. right now they are hoping to have the road back open by tonight. that will wrap up as soon as the investigation is cleared up and the vehicles are able to be clear from the highway. now again, this is a springville community school district us. there were six kids on board, but only one child was injured. hopefully tonight they will have this cleared soon. covering the corridor or near

cbs 2 news we have two other traffic alerts to tell you about. right now the westbound lanes of highway 30 are blocked due to a semi rolled over. the big real -- a big read rolled over near the eye 380 interchange. ramps are closed right now. first responders are working to get the driver out of the truck. he was trapped inside and there is no word at this time on his east bound lanes of the interstate.there's no word of injuries in that crash. our monday brought us a cool down and there's another change in store for eastern iow. iowa.cbs 2 chief meteorologist terry swails has your weather

temperatures remain in the 50s to around 60 this afternoon. we are at 55 degrees right now and at this hour, the wind is calm at the airport on the south side of town. looking at the temperatures, it is 52 in dubuque and 54 in oelwein and decorah . monticello looking at 55. overall, temperatures are cool out there and about what you'd expect this time of year. they are chillier than this in the 70s. here's a look at the radar and there is no rain around eastern iowa. that will change as the storm system gets organized in moves in and the next 24 hours. september was heavy with rain and it has been a lean october. in dubuque and cedar rapids, both cities are 1/2 inch below normal for october rain.

below what you would typically expect to see a list -- see at this point in the month. it has been pretty dry here since september. this will bring rain back to the area in the next 24 hours. just look at that powerful storm. that will act as a pump to move the pressure into our area. the rain will get underway tomorrow, especially tomorrow night. looking at the predictor, we go to tomorrow night and we will see the clouds they are getting thicker by the hour. in the meantime, it is overcast and the temperatures are nice and cool. between 3:00-4:00 in the afternoon, the rain should develop. then we could see a band of showers and maybe some isolated thunderstorms. those will be mostly in the northern counties tomorrow evening and then the rest of the area will get rain later tomorrow night and into six a clock a.m. tomorrow morning. the main thrust should be between 6:00 tomorrow morning

looking at the forecast, that takes you to a: 30 tomorrow. no measurable rain and dry to start the day. in the afternoon, the numbers start to go up and here come the numbers between 6:00-8:00. the went -- then the wind will pick up and by the time it is over with as much is 2 inches of rain. the forecast for tonight has lows around 45 to 40 degrees from north to south. clouds will increase, especially after midnight. for tomorrow, cloudy skies with showers likely, especially later in the day. look at the cooler temperatures with low 50s in the north to a dynasty comes to cedar falls on saturday - and northern iowa badly needs

we will work on in these next couple of weeks. a true dynasty coming to cedar falls this saturday. the teams played twice last year. the panthers played close and then the bison won both times on their way to a fifth consecutive national championship. the last time these two met up in cedar falls was in 2014. farley's team need to win to keep pushing toward the playoffs. they will need to be almost perfect to take down the bison. from top to bottom, they are a good football team. when you get that confidence, they can do some things. they are in the game until the end. they know they can win and so it has got to be a battle to the last play. anytime you play a team like this. on sunday, he was name conference player of the week and then on monday he was named the national performer of the
