now ten at ten continues with a look at tonight's other stories across the corridor. the university of iowa is now suing a contractor it blames for defective work at the old capitol.15 years ago - a fire damaged the building's tower and golden dome.the university paid knutson construction one-point-six million dollars to restore the building after the fire.the suit alleges the school found problems with the work.knutson says it is working with the university to fix the problems. for the proposed wild rose casino are annoucing plans to partially reimburse the investors of a ?previous? casino proposal.the "investor compensation initiative" would give one-point-five-million- dollars back to the investors of the cedar crossing casino. linn county voters approved a county-wide gaming referendum in 2013---but the iowa racing and gaming commission denied a license for the casino a year later.the new fund aims to bring both groups together for the new project. one of the most popular burger chains is coming to cedar

>> whether first chief meteorologist terry swails is think the rain has gone. >> the mortar left behind is still here and it is causing clouds. it will take a while to get those out. by halloween weekend the sun will be back in the temperatures will be warm and nothing to spooky about that part of the forecast. we still have the clouds around eastern iowa and many parts of the midwest. a big storm system rolled through here last night producing rambun thunderstorms in many areas. in some spots had more than an inch of rain. 47 is our current reading. wind chills are in the upper 30s to lower 40s. here's a look of our temperatures. in iowa city its 50 degrees. otherwise everyone else is in that made or upper 40s. right now 45 is the coolest and that is found in decorah and dubuque.

will linger into the rest of tonight. eventually tomorrow is our high pressure moves to the east the wins will turn from the south and our models indicating the clouds will erode during the afternoon hours and then the warm air that we talked about starts to arrive and we have excellent temperatures on friday. tomorrow we are still in the cool air and it looks like much of eastern iowa was the high temperatures in the range of low to midshipman 50s. here on friday look at these a lot of places from waterloo in cedar rapids down to washington are back in the 70s. over all we will at the weekend off to eight nice mild start in the eastern part of the state. on a predictor tonight at 7:00 you can see the showers while to the east but at midnight we are still in the clouds. those are destined to be in history tomorrow morning and finally tomorrow afternoon there starting to go away and then we cleared things up in time for the late afternoon hours. your forecast for tonight will be cloudy and maybe a little
