live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> a praying wildfire tearing through southern california. no end in sight. tens of thousands evacuated from line of fire. this morning it is moving closer to a majory freeway. >> south bay mother killed in a tragic crash. now, the premature baby boy is fighting for his life. i am natasha zouves. >> i am matt keller. kristen sze is off. rescuers delivered to scramble the premature baby yesterday morning. >> now, our reporter is at valley medical center in san jose with more on the baby's condition. what we have just learned about

his late mother. >> yes, dulce capetillo was just about eight months pregnant and she could not contain her excitement about becoming a mom for the first time. on facebook she wrote proudly "mommy to be." only that dream will never come true. the hospital just confirmed her back boy is still fighting for his life. after midnight dulce capetillo's brother picked her up from a taco bell where she worked. it is not clear what happened next or why. but shortly before 2:00 a.m., c.h.p. said hour where swerved into a parked scar on 101 near the tully road exit. the 18-year-old graduate of independence high school was alert at the scene and emergency responders rushed her to valley medical center where she died the doctors delivered her son. he is still in critical condition. dulce capetillo's brother was tweeted for internal injuries and the driver of the parked car suffered minor injuries and

of the control. again, coming dangerously close to home and a majory freeway. fueled by intense wind, cruise are still trying to keep the fast moving fire from devouring more dry brush. >> shelter behind thing. >> cal fire said it has charred 31,000 acres. numerous homes are destroyed. 34,000 are in jeopardy. norm -- no one knows when the evacuation orders will be lifted >> new details on the clayton fire in lake county. the fire now is 55% contained. it broke out on saturday night and burned 4,000 acres through several communities in lower lake and clearlake. the new numbers show 200 homes have been lost. 68 other structures have been destroyed. and hundreds more have been damaged. hull people trend under evacuation orders and others are

allowed hope. full containment is on sunday. we are learning month of the evidence gators have against a man they accused of setting the clayton fire. damin anthony pashilk was in court yesterday. he entered the courtroom with his back continued to the cameras. documents show evidence against damin anthony pashilk comes from eyewitnesses, surveillance cameras and the high-tech tracking device. investigators say it linked pushmataha county to 17 act -- it linked damin anthony pashilk to 17 counts of arson. in five cases, the g.s.a. tracker puts pashilk at the scene of the arson fire at time of ignition. all the soberanes fire in monterey county is still burning this morning. it is now scorched 79,000 acres and 60% contained. evacuation orders are in effect. 57 homes have been destroyed. 400 are still threatened. a bulldoze are operator working the fire was killed. >> in the east bay, five people are out of the their home after an early fire in concord at a

duplex on glen brook court shortly before 3:00 a.m. the firefighters say it started inside the kitsch were. everyone made it out. >> incredible video shows the c.h.p. rescuing a woman sick while hiking. the 66-year-old believe she had possible stroke on sunday afternoon and on the pacific crest trail in fresno county. she activated her message personnel locator to notify her family she needed help. the rescuers found her and hoisted her up to take her to the hospital for treatment. the fresno county clarke shared this photo of fields. deputies are holding a protect to discuss the rescue. >> an aircraft under contract to the military crashed in north las vegas, nevada, in the desert less than a mile from the air force base at 7:40. the pilot ejected. he had minor injuries. he was a civilian contractor working for the military. there are no reports of damage to any ground facility.

>> it is slow going in vallejo. the truck lost its load on interrogate 780 with the box truck overturned at the off-ramp eastbound 780. c.h.p. has issued a sig-alert and crews work to clean up the road. right now, there is no estimate on when all of the lanes will reopen. >> oakland police are investigating shooting that last four people hurt. it happened at 10:30 lat note at 11th and mandela parkway. a man was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. three other men showed up at the hospital and said they were shot at the same spot. all four men are expected to survive. no arrests have been made. >> oakland police are investigating an insurance accident that left a man with a life threatening head injury. hes what -- he was found suffering from blunt force trauma and take were to the hospital he now in critical condition. police have not said what may have caused the injury. >> new details on the millbrae teach are accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl. the had year -- the 40-year-old

heather buts is out on bail. the millbrae school district told abc7 that butts is placed on leave during the investigation. it released a statement and i quote, "we take the allegations very seriously and we are cooperating with law enforcement in their relation." >> brazilian officials say ryan lochte and his teammates are lying about being robbed at gun point the timeline does not match up with the facts. we have the latest developments from new york. >> new developments today surrounding 12 time olympic medalist ryan lochte and three other whose claim they were robbed on streets of rio de janeiro. the investigators and the ioc looking into whether false statements were given to police. >> we never deny problems and we never tried to hide them. >> federal police source in brazil saying surveillance video

>> santa clara, san francisco, east bay, and all the bay area, this is abc7 news. delivering a baby while flying in a commercial airplane is not the easy of the way to give birth. but it turns out it will pay off for the child for years. >> the mother was in labor more than five weeks early flying on an aircraft operated by a philippines carrier. hire is the beautiful picture. two passengers who were nursed delivered the baby four hours into the we flight. this photo of mom and philipine was shared on facebook. the airline c.e.o. said that it is the first time a baby has been born on an aircraft and

oakland and 71 from mountain view and san jose, 64 in morgue hill and half moon bay, and 57. east bay hills camera, we have mainly sunny skies and a bit of a haze. we will talk about air quality in a second, but right now 62 in santa rosa, and 65 in napa and numbers are rising in petaluma, and concord is 72. and livermore is 73. hazy outlook from east bay hills camera with poor air quality inland east bay so "spare the air" day is in affect, so take note. if you have respiratory issues take it easy and if you can, use public transportation to cut down on pollutants. high is 65 in san francisco and 83 in san jose. it is warming at 92 in livermore. not so hot as yesterday, so we are taking baby steps in cooler direction. 272 in vallejo and santa rosa is 81. if you are headed to at&t park, the mets are faking on the giants, first pitch is at 7:15,

and 59 degrees, have the hoodie and by association temperatures cooling off around 55 degrees and by that time, we will have the fog rolling right back in over the city of san francisco. tonight, the call with the fog along the coast is pushing into the going going stairs, and 55 in san francisco and 57 in oakland. we will drop to 61 in san jose and livermore and antioch and 58 in fairfield and napa and stand rose falling to 54 and 53 respectively. the seven-day forecast shows we are warming inland, and then we are cooler on friday, and into saturday and by sunday it looks like we will have a tough time reaching the 90-degree mark inland and the cooling continues into monday and tuesday and maybe a touch warmer on wednesday, and we notice the tire trend on the seven-day forecast is inland at 90 degree heat bringing it back down to the 80s to give folks a break from the heat wave the past couple of days. >> thank you, drew. soda tax or grocery tax? what you call an east bay ballot
