new hall, california.3 3 this morning it looks like the hunt for a man who stole a police officer's gun in niobrara nebraska is over. police were hunting for 25 - year - old david hoffman... saying he assaulted a niobrara police officer who was trying to arrest him tuesday... stealing that officer's gun.last night the f - b - i confirmed there was a shooting on the santee reservation right near niobraraafter federal and tribal officials were trying to take a person into custody.the f - b - i says the person refused to surrender and supposedly shot himself. he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.no one identified hoffman as that person... but an f - b - i spokesperson did say people who live around there aren't in danger anymore. 3 a spencer teenager is facing charges of arson this morning after a fire destroyed a home tuesday.the fire broke out
