killed her. r good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. this morning, the leaders of the armed group occupying a federal wildlife refuge in oregon are under arrest. the situation at the wildlife refuge itself remains fluid. the fbi and oregon state police stopped the group on a highway near burns, ownerregon, shots were fired and one member of the militia killed and another wounded. andrew denver of our portland station from burns joins us on the phone. andrew, what did you tell us. >> reporter: ammom bundy and some of his top ranking

trump says he has issues with fox moderator meghan kelly. don champion has more. >> reporter: a series of war had been going on for trump. his decision comes days before republicans will finally start voting on who they want to be their presidential nominee. the latest escalation and tensions came after fox news released this press release tuesday saying, in part, we learned from a secret back channel that the ayatollah and putin both intend to treat donald trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president. the statement set the republican presidential front-runner off. >> when they sent out the wise guy press releases a little bit ago done by some pr person, along with roger ayos i said bye-bye. >> reporter: you call overweight women pigs.

democratic presidential hopeful bernie sanders is scheduled to meet with president obama this morning at the white house. the white house says there is no formal agenda for the meeting, but the little known senator from vermont has become a surprising factor in the democratic nominating process. a milwaukee man is under arrest. the fbi says sammy mohammed hahnza had been under surveillance since september. he told fbi informance his group planned to shoot everyone they saw at the temple and hoped to kill at least 30 people. he was arrested monday by undercover agent after he paid for two automatic machine guns and silencerses. he is charged with gun possession. two people were killed and three others wounded when gunfire broke out at a homeless camp in seattle. it's unclear what triggered last night's shooting. one victim died at the scene, another at the hospital. seattle police say they do not believe the shootings were

>> we do have at least two persons of interest. we believe this was a targeted incident. we have no reason to believe anyone else is in danger at this point. >> one of the victims remains in critical condition. police believe the victims were targeted because of who they are, not because they were homeless. president obama was briefed on the potential threat of the zika virus. yesterday, the world health organization predicted the mosquito-transmitted virus was spread to almost all countries in the americas, including the u.s. symptoms are usually mild, but the virus has been linked to birth defects in brazil. the president called for the development of tests, vaccines, and treatments. the two anti-abortion rights activists charged with making those undercovered videos of planned parenthood will turn themselves in. the two faces charges of tampering with governmental records, a felony.

we are sinking. >> this newly released coast guard video shows a yacht lifting after taking on water on monday night. the captain ordered everyone to abandon ship. time lapse video from the coast guard shows it was ten minutes before it was swallowed by the sea. a crumbling cliff creates evacuations. those are some of the headlines on the morning newsstand. the san diego union tribune says a report of gunshots at a navy hospital led to a nearly six-hour lockdown. workers at naval medical center san diego evacuated with their hands above their head. an employee reported hearing at least three gunshots yesterday morning. military police found no evidence of a shooting. the cleveland plain dealer reports the city fired six officers for their role in a deadly chase. six more officers are suspended and another retired. in 2012, officers fired 137 shots into a car following a

unarmed people inside. one officer was indicted for manslaughter, but was acquitted. the indianapolis star reports a popular principal died a hero in a school bus crash. witnesses say elementary school principal susan jordan pushed students out of the way of a bus before it struck and killed her. two 10-year-olds suffered serious injuries. the driver and 25 students were aboard when it suddenly lurched forward and jumped the curb yesterday afternoon. >> i'm very close to the situation. very hard to talk right now. so we mourn. >> the school cancelled class today. police say the crash is under investigation. reports a funeral home fire injured three firefighters and one of its owners. heavy fire engulfed the funeral

omaha, nebraska, causing parts of the building to collapse. a witness described what she heard and saw. >> you can hear the fire blazing and you could feel the vibration of the fire. it was very intense. >> fire investigators are working with the funeral home employees to remove bodies of the deceased. the cause is under investigation. "the san francisco chronicle" says an evacuation order due to a crumbling cliff is causing mixed emotions among people who live there. the cliff in pacifica, south of san francisco, is falling into the ocean and homes along the edge are crumbling. moving trucks were in and out all day, but some are determined not to leave. the cliffs are being eroded away by intense waves fueled by the weather phenomenon el nino. still ahead, trooper struck. dash cam video captures an officer being hit by a car as he was making a traffic stop.

sold 74.8 million iphones. that is record but it is the slowest rate of growth since iphones were introduced in 2007. apple says revenue could fall over 8.5% from january to march. weight watcher's stock is soaring. thanks to oprah's weight loss. the stock jumped 20% yesterday after a new commercial starring winfrey aired. she said she lost 26 pounds on the weight watchers plan and ate bread every day. winfrey owns about 6.5 million shares of weight watchers so that means she made about 12.5 million dollars on paper. jetblue is resigning its cabins of its fleet to include free wi-fi system will let flyers stay connected gate-to-gate. jetblue says the seats will have more leg room and power outlets and more ports. the updates will take about three years to complete. last weekend's big snowstorm hit broadway's box offices hard.
