washington. congressional lawmakers -- republicans trying to stick it to president obama again. 47 senators fired off a letter to iran casting doubt whether any nuclear deal between iran and the government could last. vice president biden said to circumvent the president and constitutional system ochds me as a matter of principle. senate democratic harry reid reacted with great disdain. >> this letter is a hard slap not only in our face by our allies. this is not a time. >> tracie potts live in washington. tracie can we expect more reaction today? >> reporter: we certainly may see more reaction from the white house and republicans, dozens of them who signed onto this letter.

we are just five days away from the next round of negotiations. the letter signed by 47 republican senators warned any nuclear deal with president obama can be changed by congress or undone with the next president by the stroke of a pen. >> ironic. >> some members of congress wanting to make common cause with iran. >> top democrat called it juvenile. >> now they are sending a letter to the same people they were showing against a week ago. >> senator tom cotton of arkansas is the freshman republican behind it. >> this letter is about nothing more than stopping iran from getting a nuclear bomb. >> reporter: the white house fears it could affect the negotiations. >> it interferes in that effort. >> secretary of state john kerry meets with iran foreign minister

sunday. as those negotiations continue they are concerned with how they will go. united states is trying to get iran to enrich less uranium and also let an international monitor so they can see what's going on. milissa. >> tracie thank you. now to the outrage at the university of oklahoma. there's more fallout from cell phone video capturing a so-called racist chant. tri-deltas well. they are cooperating fully as they investigate the matter. they are investigating whether students in this video may have violated the civil rights act. nbc's gabe gutierrez reports. >> reporter: the video first posted sunday has sparked national outrage. now a second recording from a

different angle shows members of the fraternity sigma alpha epsilon or sae at the university of oklahoma chanting racial slurs. ou's president joins hundreds of students at a predawn rally. many with tape across their mouth. >> when we hear stuff like that it needs to stop. >> my jaw definitely stopped. >> naomi is with the african-american student group that first received the video through an anonymous message on twitter. >> a lot of people like to say this is post racial america. we're not in post racial america. this is just a huge example. >> reporter: sae suspended the local chapter immediately. >> we were absolutely appalled and shocked at this video. more so we were outraged that any member would think this is somehow acceptable. >> reporter: graffiti written "tear it down" is on the house and the letters were moved.

conference this week concerning her e-mail scandal. despite the controversy, though clinton holds an extraordinary 86% support among democratic primary voters according to nbc "wall street journal" poll. on the other hand, according to buzzfeed, a facebook conversation about hillary clinton is getting more and more negative. the article reads, "since news broke that clinton used a personal e-mail account while at state on the night of march 2nd interactions on facebook have spiked and stayed that way in a mostly negative fashion." now to some unbelievable video a cell phone capturing an am track train collideing with a truck. >> oh, my god, oh, my god. >> this happened in north carolina, the train slicing the truck in half. 213 passengers on board. dozens were sent to the hospital, the train was heading to new york. here is how people described that moment of impact.

>> it was like a bomb exploded. it hit so hard that it shook the whole car. >> i got thrown from my seat and just scared, really, really scared. and in dallas this the cab of a tractor-trailer dangling over an interstate. it happened after the driver lost control. he and his passenger climbed their way out but it took almost four hours to pull that cab back onto solid ground. it sounds like the plot of an international mystery novel. who poisoned a three-year-old irish setter at one of the world's most famous dog shows. he went by the name jagger and finished second in his category. he died just days after returning to belgium after competing competing. they don't believe it was the act of another competitor.

leaving just before the blast. among those killed 23-year-old lu, a student from china. her close friend had to talk her into watching the marathon. severely wounded herself, she tearfully recalled waking in the hospital tell the nurses and doctors and everyone to look for her. the cancer nurse said marathon day was the last time she did anything on two legs. both she and her newlywed husband lost their left legs in the bombing. last month jessica gave them permission to remove her other leg, badly injured. i just felt like i was on a rocket when the blast went on she said. when she saw her husband on the ground, i thought he was going to bleed to death on the sidewalk. tsarnaev, hours after the bombing, was in a grocery store calmly buying milk. pete williams nbc boston. in madison, more protests tied to the shooting death of tony robinson. he is the young unarmed man shot by police.

hundreds packed into the capital building yesterday. robinson was shot during a disturbance call during which he allegedly attacked an officer. missouri supreme court takes over cases after judge resigns. that judge is ronald brock meyer. he was named in that scathing doj report that found patterns of racial bias by police and the court. it also claims african-americans were targeted for tickets and fines. in new hampshire a tractor-trailer hit a car then wiped out a toll booth. fortunately the trucker and the driver of the car were injured but expected to be okay. in washington state, a two-year-old was almost abducted and a camera caught the whole thing. the suspect snatched the boy from a park while his babysitter wasn't looking. not far behind were his two siblings. after a brief chase he dropped the boy. just ahead a baby trapped in a submerged car, her mother dead. now the race to find the

leading the news nbc "wall street journal" poll finds nearly 60% are looking for change in 2016 but will they get it? it could be a potential roadblock for 2016 front-runner hillary clinton and jeb bush. 59% want someone who will bring greater change to current policy while 38% want a more experienced and tested person. that could be due to the current political climate. a whopping 89% and president obama and congress are partisan and compromising on major issue. who is to blame? 26 blame republicans, 15% blame president obama and democrats and 47% point the finger at both sides. meanwhile 59% favor same-sex
