inland. looking at the temperatures now it feels mild. 60 in the peninsula as well as 62 in the south bay. with the cloud we'll see them clearing out today with mostly sunny skies. up to 82 degrees in the north bay, san francisco 68 degrees, and the tri-valley hitting the 90s. that's better than 100 degrees. we'll see more 90s for the inland areas. we'll take a look at that ahead in the microclimate forecast. let's head over to mike to see what is happening on the roadways. >> lots of curves here. this is berkeley clurve. as a result of an early morning crash that happened. a number of lanes that were blocked and they're clearing up the debris now. it will slow you on the map coming off 580 and toward the east shore freeway. toward the bay bridge is okay. the traffic is light. slow a bit because of the distractions. you saw the two lanes were getting by fine. the rest of the bay moves well.

we'll check else what is happening on the roads coming up. we begin with breaking news. a thief steals thousands of dollars of antiques in a smash and grab robbery. daniel stein antiques is located on jackson street. someone brock the win dope to get inside the store overnight stealing $50,000 worth of items. the pieces date back to the 18th and 19th century. the shop does have cameras inside. police are looking through the footage. today in the bay is there live. a bay area family is in mourning. draft nikkei moultrie was shot and killed in texas's entertainment district. she was visiting her fiancée's family as she prepares her wedding. austin police looking for the

shooter. >> this is an extremely safe city we're talking about, au austin. in the entertainment district. moultrie was 30 years old and a lot to live for when she was shot. her family thinks she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. moultr moultrie's brother said she left the bay area on friday. she spent the evening out on austin's sixth street, the entertainment district. if you've been to austin, you've probably been there. she was leaving a doughnut shop when she was shot. it was just after 2:00 in the morning when the entertainment district was shutting down. moultrie was visiting her partner's family. they were planning a wedding celebration for this october. >> she loved her job. she loved kids. she was a super star basketball player at woodside high school. she loved basketball, softball, she loved her family.

she was just a great person. >> moultrie died of her injuries. three other people will recover from their gunshot wound. police are looking for 24-year-old endcot mccray. they have no idea who the person is. several family members are on their way to austin. >> thank you. lawyers for the man charged in the murder of sierra lamar will be in court today asking for a delay in his trial. antwon garcia torres has been scheduled to start the trial today but they'll ask to move it to october. she disappeared in 2012 on her way to school. her body has never been found. two men are facing criminal charges for climbing to the top of the bay bridge. live look at the bridge this morning. chp tells us the men jumped a railing yesterday along the bike

pedestrian path, went up a large suspension cable to the top of the eastern towers. the pair reached the top of the 525-foot tower, by the time the chp officers arrived, the pair was on the way back down. both are facing trespassing charges. the sbron necessary fire continues to contribute poor air quality. smoke is moving across the region over the last three days triggered several spare the air alerts over the past week. so far no alerts today. kari is tracking it in the bay area. >> the winds are picking up and we have slightly cooler temperatures across the bay area. i'll talk about that and expect a little bit more of a heat up as we go into the next couple of days in the microclimate forecast. over here we have a little breeze that died down a bit. driving through fremont past the truck scale.

in maryland as powerful >> there's people in the water! oh, my gosh. >> terrifying scene playing out. this is in maryland as powerful flood waters rushed through the streets of a historic city over the weekend. you can see the people clinging to cars. they're swept away. two people died in the flood waters. an entire month's worth of rain fell in just a couple of hours. more than 120 other people had to be rescued, including this woman. several people forming a human chain to rescue that woman trapped inside her car. she crawls out through the window. eventually carried to safety. officiallies say nearly every building and home has been damaged or destroyed. in texas new details surrounding the man who piloted the hot air balloon involved in the hot air balloon crash.

he had a dui dui arrest on his charge. >> the arrest happened more than a decade ago in missouri. he later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor dwi. st. louis post dispatch warned consumers not to do business with nichols. yesterday's crash killed up to 16 people making it the worst hot air balloon accident in history. they believe the balloon hit power lines before it plummet to the ground. >> we're here to find out what happened so we can keep it from happening again. that's our purpose in in life. >> two of the victims were a young couple from san antonio. they married less than a year ago. she had posted a picture on social media just before the crash. a new memorial on austin's university of texas. honoring the victims of the nation's first mass shooting. it was 50 years ago. the clock tower will stop at 11:

high pressure still every the region, but it's also helping to usher on the on shore flow. winds clock wise. its it moves to the east we'll see an area 77 low pressure moving to the north. it will give us cool breezes and the temperatures will back off. before we'll have a little bit of warming for the middle of the week. looking a the next seven days, in san francisco up to 68 degrees today. 67 tomorrow. some lower 60s by the end of the week. and then as we look for the inland areas into low 90s for the next three days in some spots. but once again this is closer to average. we'll see the temperatures coming down by the end of the week into the lower 80s by friday. and into saturday and sunday some low to mid 80s there. not looking bad at all. let's head over to mike to see what is happening on the roadway. >> we have a new crash in san

dangerous discovery on a popular north bay trail. disturbing potentially dangerous discovery on a popular north bay trail. last week two bikers appear what appears to be a homemade spike strip near fairfax. the strip, which cyclists call a bobby trap which was a 4 foot long rubber strip with about 30 rusty screws on it secured to the ground with the speikes facing upward. they think it could be part of ab ongoing feud between bikers and joggers. the mayor will put the

forecast. >> we'll have great weather. getting ready for a nice, cool start this morning. seem s milder in spot the like the south bay. it's 53 in the north bay in san francisco. the low clouds will move in. we start out with a high of 68 degrees. very comfortable. it will be hot in the tri-valley and inland areas. nowhere close to the triple digits. we'll not see that as we go through the week. we'll talk about the slight warm up into the next couple of days. that's coming up. let's head over to mike for an update in san leandro. >> all lanes were blocked southbound 880 and marina boulevard. coming down into hayward out of oakland. we're looking here and the speed sensors are showing a slow down there. they have a two cars requiring a tow truck in the fast lane.
