for more than 200 palestinian prisoners. yasmin vossoughian is live in tel aviv. >> reporter: good morning. it was emotional in hostage square as three more hostages were released. a man whose wife was killed on october 7th, he is returning to a young daughter. a 56-year-old was taken along side of his wife, she was released after 54 days in captivity. and ellie shabady, 52 years old, his wife and daughters were killed on october 7th. he was tafken along side of his brother. his brother was killed in captivity. all of the hostages were held hostage for 491 days. they were released in central gaza today. they were marched onto the stage and made to speak in front of a crowd of palestinians sayg in part the war must end. they didn't look well. they in fact were incredibly emaciated. the prime mipster releasing a statement on social media saying

angeles. camilla, what more do we know? >> reporter: the coast guard search for the missing plane is over. they fountd the aircraft 35 miles southeast of gnome where it was supposed to land. seven passengers are believed to be inside of the aircraft. the coast guard said they were not able to access them. the plane vanished thursday afternoon during a flight between two small towns over the western coast of alaska. here are some moments that air traffic control noticed something was wrong. >> altitude alert, 445, check your altitude immediately. radar contact lost. >> the plane departed around 2:40 local time and lost contact with air traffic control about 40 minutes later, only about 10 minutes before it was scheduled

to land. we know the pilot told air traffic control he would stay in a holding pattern as he waited for the runway to clear. right before the plane disappeared, the coast guard said it had a rapid loss of elevation in speed, then the visibility was lost. visibility was low at the time of the disappearance but a lot of this remains a mystery as the ntsb is sending a team to investigate the crash. >> a lot of questions, thank you. in less than 36 hours, the kansas city chiefs will take on the mraufl eagles. tens of thousands of fans are packing into the superdome. the security is high especially after the attack on bourbon street. jesse kirsch is live with more. >> reporter: good morning. when we got here earlier this week, there was no question there was a clear visible security presence. i can tell you day by day, things are ramping up even more

good morning. thanks for joining us on this saturday, february 8th. i'm kira klapper. one of the highest profile murder cases in recent bay area history is back in the national spotlight. last night on nbc bay area, dateline nbc profiled the murder of cashapp founder bob lee. the man convicted of killing him was a no show in court yesterday for a sentencing date hearing. nima momeni you see there and file video was found guilty of second degree murder back in december. prosecutors argued that momeni stabbedee after an argument about money's sister, cezar momeni was supposed to be in court to hear what day he'll be sentenced. but a bailiff told his mother that he refused to appear, deciding instead to stay in jail. the hearing went on without him. his sentencing will be may 16th. if you missed that dateline episode last night, you can watch dateline under the bay

bridge. as of today, it is streaming on peacock. i stayed up way too late watching that. let's turn now to cinthia pimentel with a quick look at our microclimate forecast. good morning kara. good morning everyone. well, it is a very, very cold morning in the bay. now we are starting to dry out from the rain that we've had this week, but that is just bringing some cold air over the next couple of days, allowing for the earth to cool way too much over the next couple of mornings. so we wake up with the freeze warning, the purple there on your screen, north bay, east bay valleys, and even through parts of the foothills down here in the south bay. everybody else excluding the coast right there under that frost advisory until about 9 a.m. once we start to get a little bit more sunshine in the mix, and that's going to continue even into next week. so let's take a look at some numbers here. mostly cold up there in the north bay. 32 calistoga. we go over to the east bay 33 in danville right now. so you notice that some of those numbers are starting to approach that freezing point, maybe even already getting some subfreezing points in those isolated valleys along the

the headlines for you. new details emerging in court about a group of suspects prosecutors say had been fuelling a demand for luxury goods working with an international crime ring, tart ting the homes of pro athletes. this video of a selfie was taken by the accused crew. they broke into the home of cincinnati quarterback joe burrow. three of the gucci wearing suspects you just saw were indicted by a federal grand jury in ohio this week. those men are accused of feeding a new york city pawnshop where a recent fbi raid recovered dozens of high end watches and jewelry. police have arrested a louisiana woman in connection with the death of a 27-year-old sports reporter in the city there covering the super bowl. hotel security video which has not been released publicly shows jeannette colbert and reporter adawn mijano entered a hotel room early in the morning and

his body was found later that morning in the room. investigators say colbert used his credit card at several local stores. colbert has a history of drugging men and stealing their credit cards. sad news from the entertainment world, stage and film actor tony roberts died in his manhattan home on friday. roberts was best known as woody allen's best friend in a handful of the film maker's movies including annie hall. he was known for playing easy going characters. roberts was a popular broadway actor as well and was nominated twice for tony awards. he was 85 years old. this morning if you are planning a super bowl party tomorrow, you might notice the beverages of choice look a little different this year. that's because nonalcoholic beverages are coming more and more popular, having a moment if you will as people choose to put aside the real stuff for

thanks for joining us on this saturday, february 8th. i'm kira klapper. san francisco and santa clara counties are suing the trump administration, saying the president's recent order threatening to strip all federal funding from sanctuary cities violates the u.s. constitution and federal law. san francisco city attorney spoke at city hall saying the administration's orders are not only illegal, they also would dramatically harm cities, counties and states with sanctuary policies. a sanctuary city, as you likely know, is defined as a place that actively refuses to devote resources to assist in federal immigration actions. trump's. the county says if the president's new order were to stand, the city would lose an estimated $3.1 billion in federal funding. the lawsuit argues the president has no power to strip federal funds allocated by congress.

prepandemic. when covid was around, it disrupted the flu numbers. we are seeing more numbers but not historically high numbers. but never theless, 310,000 hospitalizations and 13,000 deaths. why is this happening? again, covid is taking a back seat and flu is experiencing a resurgence. we are seeing low vaccination rates across the board. for flu vaccination rate in children, we are below 50%. in 2020, the number was 58%. we have had 10 pediatric flu deaths in the last week, 57 overall. parents, caregivers, please get your children vaccinated. for grownups, you can see the numbers as you get older, your likelihood to get vaccinated increases. it is not too late. it is not too late. let me say that two or three times to get your flu shot. we have not peaked yet and we expect the flu activity to continue. >> we had a bout go through the
