head to the arizona state university campus in glendale 6:00 to 8:00 tonight in the university center building. the suspect accused of robbing two gay bars says it was not a hate crime, he just needed the money. andrew sayans was accused of taking wallets and cell phones. he said he didn't target the bars because of their customers but thought they would be easier to rob, and says he >> it wasn't a hate crime. i don't have no problem with gay people. my mom is bisexual. i got a gay cousin. >> so you didn't target them because they're gay bars? >> no. >> and his girlfriend declined a jailhouse interview but we're told a teenager was also arrested.

developing in the valley this morning, a roof collapse, causing two people to fall 17 feet to the floor. overnight, only two people remain in the hospital. . >> i never met my dad. i told myself i wanted to talk to him personally. that was the motivation that led me to drink. >> the victim just 6 years old, police say he ran a red light at 40th street and broadway, slamming into a truck full of kids. he is owning up to the crash, offering forgiveness to the family. . >> i felt bad for what i did. i hope they forgive me.

. let's talk about the most accurate forecast because you're going to feel a difference when you step outside this morning. we are waking up to clear skies. that's what we have had over the last six hours. plus, yesterday i told you we had drier air pushing in throughout the day. much drier by yesterday evening, and dry conditions have stuck around overnight. unlike yesterday morning, the humidity will be lower as you step outside and temperatures are running several degrees cooler than this time yesterday. we're down to 63 degrees at phoenix sky harbor, winds out of the east about 7 miles an hour, and the sun will rise at 6:25. you may need a light sweater. some of us, these temperatures could be a little chilly as you look at spots in the east and west valley, sitting in the 50s this morning. phoenix holding on to the 60s but we have 55 in mesa, queen

right now. goodyear is 58 degrees and 57 currently in anthem. it's a cooler start to the day and we could still cool another degree or two before we start to warm up. army heads up if you're sending the kids out, maybe offer them a sweater early this morning. 63 in phoenix right now, and i think we'll get down to 62 by 7:00 a.m., then start to climb. we're still in the mid-60s by 8:00 with sunny and dry conditions. in the at the down in the 20s at the grand canyon, coldest we have seen so far, 34 in flagstaff and 33 in window rock with 40s and 50s along the rim. we are off to a chilly start but drier too, with dew points down statewide and drier air in place. we are looking at clear conditions on the satellite and radar statewide and across the
