joining us now in florida. >> reporter: hurricane matthew continuing to turn. it's now left the state of florida and has allowed people to get out and assess the damage left behind. here in daytona thankfully only cosmetic damage. no significant structural damage in this area. eyes are on jacksonville now to see what flooding could bring as well as the georgia an north carolina coast. the power is still out in some areas and it's left it eeriely dark. it's hard to see much of anything right here. hurricane matthew made its way into daytona beach. debris being blown in, coming on to the beach surge. nothing too significant. that's the good news here.

everyone wondering if they're the ones. >> reporter: leper was arrested for setting fires when he was just 16 years old. also in tempe police tell us they're close to putting together a sketch of the man who robbed and beat up a woman outside a crackers cafe near elliot and priest. they have also been outlooking for surveillance video from near by businesses. two more arrests in our state tonight and this is the letter parents got after a school. pinol county sheriff's making the bust. police asking people not to interact with the posts. they don't even want those posts shared. there are hundreds of protesters outside the eloy detection center right now. abc15's tony walker is looking into their concerns. >> reporter: this protest is just on its way. you can see the long line of cars parked off the side of the

up there on the east coast. but tonight isabel rosales shows us the flooding in st. augustine florida. >> reporter: this is what st. agustine florida is looking like. the beach is in that direction. and in just a couple of hours this is how much water has taken on the downtown. the big concern for the people listened to the evacuation order is this wind. this intense wind that you can just feel pushing up against your back. take a look in that direction. and you can see exactly the power of this wind knocking down tree branches and just hitting these stores. owners have made some precautions around the area filling up sandbags but let me tell you it just doesn't seem to be doing the job.
