gunshots. when officers got here they learned of the victims mom had also called 911 out of concern for her ex-husband and their two daughters. inside the home officers found a four-year-old and a five-year-old dead. investigator believe the dad first took their lives and then turned the gun on himself. police have not released the name of the suspect. this investigation will take several hours because of this we learn more about what happened and a possible motive we will let everyone know. let's talk about the most accurate forecast. temperatures are nice and cool. 68 for the morning drive. 60s pretty much across the valley. nice and cool. a gradual warm- up today. today's high into the low 90s. not too bad, up to 92. a warm and dry day on tap. we will talk about any chance of rain over the next seven days. so far the roads are nice

good morning. phoenix is trying to make a difference in the lgbtq community as the mayor and several human rights campaign leaders will meet to discuss and avail the city's municipal equality index rating. that's a rating system that tracks policies and practices and laws for the lgbtq community. beginning next year phoenix will offer a transgender inclusive health benefits to all city employees. today's meeting is at 1:00 at city hall.

and broadway. that is were katie conner is right now. what can you tell us? >> reporter: police believe the gun man is dead. last time before 10 pm neighbors heard gunshots. when officers got here they got inside the home and found this. >> once inside they realized there was an adult male in his two young children in the room. >> reporter: police say the girls were four and five years old. investigators to believe this is a murder-suicide. there trying to figure out a motive. we know earlier in the night their mom called police worried about them and her ex-husband. we do not know the name of the suspect. all we know is that he is a 36- year-old male. live at the scene investigation will take several hours. we have watched detectives go in and out of the second-floor room with flashlights
