two americans killed in afghanistan. one of the victims is a servicemember. the other is a civilian. they were involved in a nato mission to train, advise and assist the afghan security forces. their names have not been released at this point. another u.s. servicemember in two u.s. civilians remain stable attack. the unknown assailant was later killed. breaking overnight in phoenix, detectives coming through surveillance video hoping to find a killer after a man was shot and killed a 35th avenue. and glendale. police have not released the identity of the victim. an argument outside a well- known phoenix restaurant ended with gunfire. of -- instead of going out of the shooter security went after our cameras.

news. look at these lima images coming in from portland oregon. the station where this shot is coming from saying that six people have been injured following a gas leak and two explosions. we have been told this area is possibly dangerous. people could see large plumes of smoke from several blocks away. look at the aftermath. unbelievable. we have been told six people were hurt in this. we have also been told a contractor apparently picked a gas line while working at a nearby construction site and it started all of this. as for the people injured, three firefighters who were inside the building at the time of the explosion were injured. also three civilians went to the hospital. at this time we don't know if they were inside the building or just bystanders. a massive effort underway in portland oregon after this gas explosion. something we will continue to stay on top of throughout the
