information that we get from the scene. this is on union hill where a woman jaywalking got hit by a car and she's now in critical condition. the driver did stick around but officers say they're suspecting -- a second person also hurt tonight. this fire station is where they drove themselves after being shot. >> we watched him walk out of jay overnight but what sent leslie merit jr. into jail.

suspect. john erickson is reporting for us tonight. >> reporter: here's the restraining order that leslie meritt jr. is accused of violating. a 19-year-old woman says she was assaulted by merritt and is now expecting his child. saying i was his property because i have his child inside me. throughout the relationship, she writes, he threatened to kill me. and so merritt i violating that restraining order by showing up in that apartment in west glendale. we called merritt for comment, we could not reach him. we also could not reach the victim. justin de la torre is now behind befores. it follows a dash cam video we showed you earlier.

an officer was grazed by a bullet. they returned fire. la torre just booked into jail. according to the owner tonight, it might have been a big misunderstanding. a neighboring business calling police claiming they saw a guy with a gun run inside. police surrounded the place, used a loud speaker, shouted more than a dozens times for a guy to come out. turns out he's a regular just there to have a drink. >> sure. but the whole time while on police rout, the guy didn't know anything that the police were out here they're just in there drinking their beer or whatever they're having, listening to music and watching tv. >> the man was taken into

forecast is looking good. it's looking warm. not as warm as we were yesterday. temperatures in the low 80s at 10:00 a.m. saturday and sunday. mid-90s at 3:00. by 9:00 both evening down into the 80s. right now we're at 80 degrees. winds are calm, our dewpoint in the 40s. we still have glendale and levine in the 80s but the rest of the valley has dropped down into the mid- to upper 70s. we look up north. show low at 55. sedona and prescott at this hour. here's what we expect tonight. down to 57 in globe. 67 in casa grande. no freezes on the map tonight and temperatures almost as warm tomorrow as where we ended up today. 65 up in flagstaff. 79 in sedona tomorrow. 84 in globe.

tonight i have to rave about this young man. he was released so what did he do? he went to get a job at ups. he was seven days into that job when the cardinals called him to say come back. >> my mom suggested ups and i just went for it. i always have faith. i believe in god. i knew it would work out end. >> pretty easy guy to root for right. he also told us he hasn't officially quit his job at ups. just took some time off. he's not sure if he'll need that job any time soon but he hopes he didn't. keep an eye on asu's quarterback situation. looks like they will once again be without a starter with a shoulder injury but has been named a game time decision.
