says the money has to come from somewhere. >> you leave them with few good options. they can cut employee's hours. they can cease hiring, i suppose in some cases they could institute lay offs. but usually they raise prices. >> seattle famously raged its minimum wage to 15 bucks a few years ago. >> our minimum wage is not kept pace with inflation or rent or the economy. we need to increase it. >> a university of washington study found people did get paid how expensive everything wases. so raising the minimum wage there didn't do much. >> what did you pull from their example. >> what we pull from their example is one, after the increase happened over in seattle, there wasn't an arm go ahead dan of businesses -- wasn't a lot of businesses going out of operation. raising wages does what we say it was. >> reporter: but those against say seattle's situation proves them right. there are now 1000 fewer

that was -- 83 degrees. that was our high. we'll see temperatures about like that as we head into tomorrow. the difference will be the fact that we're expecting to see some rain. here's an area of low pressure that is cut off. there are over southern arizona. it's already pumping in moisture to eastern arizona. the county has been very active today with showers, even with have some embedded thunderstorms. take a look at some of the rainfall. so again, we have thunderstorms. we're looking at the lightning. gusty winds, and the potential for heavy rain. and even some small hail. right shifting the way to the south to the north. high country. it's fairly quiet for you. although we have seen the development there of some clouds there. so tomorrow, we'll continue to see these unstable conditions, but we're expecting this to move into the central and lower deserts. again, the bulk of the moisture, as you can see there on friday, at about 1:30 is going to be over eastern arizona and the white mountains. so that will be the biggest impact. but again, you should be prepared. i would just maybe take an

door. the high country expecting some pretty significant rainfall totals. more than half an inch or so. could see also some small hail. snow level for tomorrow going to be at 10,000 feet. all right. here's a look at day parts forecast here in the valley. 20% chances of rain from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. we're going to bump it up to 30% chances for showers and storms by noon. and that will continue all of the way through tomorrow evening. temperatures topping out tomorrow at 81 degrees. tomorrow we have a slight chance over the weekend. 'l temperatures on a warming trend back to the 90s by next week. coop? this is a place where we can go, have dinner, and even if we lost the week before. >> it happened other places? >> we're not going to name where.
