sentencing is delayed for the valley man convicted of supporting i.s.i.s. he is supposed to be sentenced in federal court this morning at 9:00. he was convicted of providing the guns used in a terror plot at a draw profete mohammed cartoon contest in texas. postponed now to january 23rd. phoenix police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a man during a late night argument. this happened in downtown phoenix at 10th avenue and jefferson. two men were seen pounding on a car with their fists. the car went forward and killed a victim. if you know anything about the incident, you are asked to call

camelback. one victim was stabbed and rushed to the hospital in pretty bad shape. on friday, deputies found a foal riddled with bullets and mutilated in an area called pirate island. witnesses told investigators that two other horses were also shot and wounded. one may be seriously hurt. today posse members and community volunteers looked for the two surviving horses and is other clues. a $3,500 reward is being off arrest. in flagstaff, a man who used to work for n.a.u. is accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from that school. edwin tally was the school's postal services manager. investigators say more more than 15 years he issued checks and made car payments to a pair of fake vendors that he created. tally is accused of stealing more than $350,000 from n.a.u., and part of that money came from

>> well, you never like this, smoke fills up a jet that's packed with people this morning. british airways flight has to make an emergency landing in canada. it left san francisco heading for london. 25 people had to be taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. nobody is seriously hurt but still unclear where exactly the smoke came from. a school bus crashes into a home in quincy, massachusetts, just south of boston. the students all have minor injuries. the bus driver is also in the hospital with noourz non-life-threatening injuries and at this point it's unclear what caused the crash. four people killed at a river rapids ride at an amusement park on queensland's state gold coast.

california adventure, a pretty benign ride along a manmade river. two people were ejected from a raft when it flipped over, two others trapped underneath it. a father jumps off a bridge in new jersey. the man had threatened to jump off the bridge following an argument with his wife. his two children survived but the man was an attack at a hospital in afghanistan -- many of the trainees died when gunmen detonated explosive vests inside. one of the attacker was killed by security forces and the others died when they blew up their suicide vests. palm springs police officer gill vega was shot to death three weeks ago after responding to a domestic disturbance, and

valley, especially this time of year. we don't see them quite as often. we'll take them. 87 at sky harbor, that's still pretty warm for this time of year, and in fact that's warmer than the average high for the end of the day. so we are getting a warm start to things for sure. 61 is your average low, and we didn't even make it to ten degrees above that this morning. so here's your story now. we do have clouds across the northern part of the state but they are on the thin side and moving on out. so that's really been our main weather feare scattered showers, but boy we have seen some impressive rainfall in the last 24 hours. you probably saw the lightning flashing last night, and there was plenty to go around, so we'll take you on in close and show you who was getting the rain. you can see in the last 24 hours, this area here north of i-40 really picked up most of the action. now, as far as the valley was concerned, not a whole lot going on. we did see, oh, about a tenth to a quarter of an inch out here, along in north scottsdale and

side of the mcdowells on the beeline highway, and then in the far east valley, out in apache junction and eastward. so you saw some of that lightning flashing, but, boy, you got up north, and there was an awful a lot of rain, as much as four inches falling here west of indian wells. that was impressive. that included a couple of rounds of thunderstorms this morning, also, so there's always rain to go around. we don't all get it, unfortunately, bullhead city 72, 80 in safford, already 90 at cave creek, 85 degrees out wickenburg way, and 84, excuse me, in buckeye, so around the rest of the country, it's chilly in boston, 47 degrees there. in fact, through the great lakes, they are not seeing much in the way of temperatures, but still warm across the south, indian summer seems to be hanging on. so here's the way things look for you over the next week and a half here in the valley.
