fox 10 news starts now. >> leslie merritt, jr., the man once accused of being the valley's freeway shooter walk out of jail for something completely different this time around. our cameras were there as he walked out of the jail in downtown phoenix last night. he didn't want to talk, got out of a car and drove away merritt cau accused of going to a home where he was ordered to stay away. he's now filed a lawsuit for false arrest and imprisonment. a motorcyclit killed when

then he slides under a semi. police say he was speeding and then changing lanes near 43rd avenue and grand last night when he lost control and was run over by a big rig in the oncoming lanes. the victim, a 27-year-old man, the semidriver did not stop. he was driving a white truck with a red flatbed trailer. if you have any information, you are asked to phoenix police. commuters in new york have one heck of a rough commute this morning after a the top of the george washington bridge, one of the busiest bridges in the community. a shirtless man climbed one of the bridge towers for nearly an hour. the upper level of the bridge was closed in both directions. emergency crews had to work to get him down. at least a half a dozen police officers surrounded the man before grabbing him on top of the bridge. police have yet to say exactly what he was doing up there in the first place.

when you're 15 degrees warmer in the morning, you're bound to be a whole lot warmer in the afternoon. there's the cloudy situation that we have been dealing with, even a few sprinkles up here over the grand canyon and pushing up toward the kaibab plateau. the real weather, though, is love to the west of us. we would love to see some of this break free and sink into our world. that unfortunately will not be the case. we are stuck with the hazy skies and not much more than we'd love to get some showers. here's your futurecast, again, with the clouds hanging out us over now with the next 48 hours in motion, and you can see how the clouds are going to all peel away, leaving us with a fair weekend and no weather to speak of. get out and enjoy, it will be warm but at least on the clear side. 77 in sedona, 83 in safford, flagstaff comes in at 63 right now, and as you look across the valley, our numbers are all
