girlfriend has died. lizette moreno threw him on the floor because he wouldn't eat. she could be charged with murder. a man came home to find two intruders inside his house. he shot at them it hitting a 15-year-old in the back. danielle is live with the latest. >> reporter: john, police and investigators still on scene this evening. they are being sn evidence outside of the home. they are taking photos of that evidence out here tonight. we spoke with neighbors earlier this morning and they tell us they can't believe something like this happened just a few doors down. >> i'm shocked. i didn't think something like this would happen in the neighborhood i'm in. >> reporter: police were called to this tolleson neighborhood this morning. they say a man came home to find people inside. one of the people, a 15-year-old

shot the 15-year-old two times in the back. >> i am 100% ok with that. i own my own weapons at home. >> i have my shotgun under my bed. i have my .9 on me. >> reporter: this teen along with another person who was unharmed was taken into custody. police living in the area are shocked by what happened and the poor choices made by someone so young. >> now, you're in the hospital, and you have to deal with legalities and deal with your medical expenses. problems turn out 10 times worse now. >> reporter: at this time, we do not know the identities of the suspects. in terms of the 15-year-old, we're waitig on an update on his condition. danielle miller, fox 10 news. a tucson teenager learns his fate today after pleading guilty to several terror and weapons charges. he will not be getting out of

decade. >> reporter: mahin khan was arrested over the summer for plotting to attack an m.v.d. office in mesa and planning what turned out to be an undercover f.b.i. agent to make handmade grenades. 18-year-old mahin khan going before a judge after accepting a plea deal last month on three terrorism-related charges. the judge sentenced him to years to prison despite pleas from his father and sister who say he needs help. >> since mahin has been in prison, he has shown significant signs of remorse for his actions. he understands now that his words can have serious consequences. >> i fully believe he never intended nor is he capable of harming anybody. the mahin i know does not have

he does have a family who loves him immensely and misses him. >> reporter: he was arrested in early july after an undercover investigation. an f.b.i. agent tried to get him mental health treatment when he was 15 and steer him away from his radical viewpoint then spoke in court urging for a heavy sentence. >> had he chosen to take advantage of the golden opportunity at to him, we wouldn't be here today. mr. khan continued to revert to this interest in extremism and violence. >> reporter: now along with the eight years behind bars, khan will be placed on lifetime probation once he is released. marc martinez, fox 10 news. >> three u.s. military trainers killed while attempting to enter an air base in southern jordan. they were in a car near the

77 degrees right now. winds out of the southwest at 7. there is a little something in the background here. you can see the 77 number very, very popular all across the valley. there is the 79 at goodyear. you saw that stuff north of the valley wrapping around a little bit. kind of shooting the stuff out there. we call the wrap-around effect thing. you see it coming back but it is pulling away as it does that. kind of moving that along. we'll look at it on the east side seeing a little bit of active weather here. it kind of comes up in the north and is what we were seeing on the tower cam. give you a twist to the east and look at it like that. you can see it coming in. there is moisture off on the east side that shouldn't have an

79 degrees the high today. 78 in deer valley. 78 in scottsdale. buckeye, 79 degrees. other numbers we have, 68 in don't don. 48 in show low. 76 at kingman. 55 in flagstaff. take a look at your day. 79 on the high. 69 on the low. there is your record high at 95. record low at 32. here is what we're forecasting for 81 degrees. you see 70's mixed in there. for the most part, it is going to be low 80's and right at 80. other numbers that we're forecasting would be 64 degrees in payson, 68 in prescott. 57 in show low. yuma, 89 degrees as things warm up on the desert floor a little bit. you can see that moisture down here in the southwest.
