strip properties. resort giant said new fee will improve parking experience for customers. but locals and tourists say it is a move to force more money out of their pockets. we have the story. >> reporter: las vegas strip is where the rest of the country pays to play. but now the price tag could mean parking for the first time. >> las vegas last holdout of free parking. we have offered it for decades. >> reporter: mgm announced it would charge for parking at all of the properties. beginning as early as april. overnight parking will be capped at $10 a night. >> if you come in for a meeting or to attend a convention in the morning or coming in for dinner to see a show you will pay less than overnight rate. >> reporter: valet will require you to pay fees. all of this to help fund a $54 million parking structure by newly finished t-mobile arena in addition to upgrading confidenting parking structures. >> $10 a night?

extremists attacked a cafe and seized the hotel overnight. 126 hostages freed from the hotel early this morning. according to their president, the four attackers, two identified as women. and militant group connected to the al-qaida is claiming responsibility. for the attack. and eight federal judge has rejected boston marathon bomber dzhokhar tsarnaev bid for a new trial and ordered him to pay restitution. ordered to pay victims of the attack more than $101 million in restitution. and the judge also rejected the defense's argument that dzhokhar tsarnaev could not get a fair trial in boston. he said there is no evidence of fair trial that could be conducted anywhere because of the extensive coverage of the bombings. so dzhokhar tsarnaev was convicted and sentenced to death last year in 2013 attack that killed three and injured more than 260 others. wal-mart announces first ever

and the man he stabbed was not seriously hurt. actor sean penn opening up about his meeting with notorious drug king pen el chapo. he said he has gretsabout the article he wrote. he said article ignores original purpose to start a conversation about the war on drugs. the mexican government said that a meeting brokered by mexican actress helped to lead to el chapo's recapture. currently held at the same prison while he waits for extradition to united states. and two astronauts aboard of the spacewalk after water leaked into one of the men's helmets. one astronaut reported a small water bubble inside of the helmet which quickly turned into a film of water. and mission control terminated the six hour spacewalk just after the four hour mark. officials say they had already successfully completed their mission. of restoring full power to the

station casino and cosmopolitan say they will not charge for parking. and nevada department of corrections have come up with a machine to crackdown on shootings behind bars. during a state prison board meeting in carson city department laid out the plan to hire more guards, and train them how to use rubber bullets instead of resorting to deadly force. the changes are in response to a use of force audit from last september. commissioned after several lawsuits over prison shootings were filed against the state. rescuers spotted a debris field as a search for missing 12 marines n 2 helicopters that collided in mid air and crashed off hawaii. we look at the rescue mission underway. >> reporter: the images of military might nold all day long from the air, sea and shoreline all eyes were off in the horizon

another inspection of the bus is planned for some time in april. and they fine the company has not improved they would recommend california public utility commission to pull the operating permit. and one of the fbi most wanted fugitives is now in a colorado jail. federal agents arrested this man. mila mason yesterday. after steaking him out at the motel near denver. mason was responsible for a number of violent bank robberies and shootings in colorado, last november. he is facing charges of attempted murder, robbery, attempted kidnapping. and assault. and mason was added to fbi 10 most wanted list last month. and residents of ft. meyers florida cleaning up after what they described as train like sound lasting seconds, swept through the area. this is video of damage left behind from fw tornado that hit. homes were destroyed. including some that were hit by
