clouds. none of the precipitation we were dealing with yesterday. today mostly sunny and 74. 82 at noon and 87 at 4:00. temperatures still above normal but that is not going to last very long. we'll talk more about it in 10 minutes. >> dana: scary situation in henderson. this woman in her car when a man approaches with a gun. she fights back. she survives the entire attack. news to the neighborhood where this happened. >> reporter: good morning. the surveillance images were captured on the woman's home system leaving us on the edge of our seats as this alleged attack went down in her driveway. as you can see in the video, this henderson woman just getting home from work and that man armed with a gun walks up and points the firearm at her. there is a struggle and then the

car. the tacker turns to get them and the woman does the unthinkable. she runs directly at the armed suspect. this ends as he drives away with the victim chasing after him on foot. those who live in this area are shocked and worried after this armed carjacking. while applauding the neighbor's bravery they add they are not taking any chances themselves. >> my gun is out of the safe got it on me. >> it's scary. to think that someone can put a gun in your face and steal your car. >> reporter: henderson police are asking for your help. the suspect is hispanic, 5'9", about 175 pounds. if you have any information you are urged to reach out. >> kim: i know what police would say. they would say be a good

that local woman. they normally want you to be able to give a good accounting. glad she's all right. this is another update on a local story. that man suspected of stabbing a local realtor in the neck has been arrested. you are looking at him. police arrested that man. they did so on friday. the incident takes us back to the neighborhood on september 30. this is near lake mead and webster. according to because he and his family wanted to stay in that property. >> we gave them a chance to buy that property but they didn't qualify. >> that is her explanation but local police say it doesn't explain the violence. her husband still in the hospital as we speak but recovering after being in an

a teller and then set off a bomb squad investigation. this is the man captured on security cameras at the u.s. bank near desert inn. a witness tells us the man pointed a gun at the teller and said he wanted to see the manager. as the man ran away he dropped a backpack. that brought out the bomb squad. the bag was checked out and found not to be a threat. because the suspect was so covered up the only description 5'5" and 5'9". if you know anything about this crime, please call crime stoppers. >> kim: people will be talking about this crime. the unlv professor in critical condition this morning after being left bloody and beaten at a popular park in henderson. here is a map on your screen. this took place on friday. that is the unlv professor we're talking about.

one of the people found her, his name is vince. he saw a man leaving the area. after catching up with him, vincent talks him into talking to police about what happened. >> i found it was odd he was walking away and rapidly. i followed him. i said i don't know what happened but you should go back and tell the police what happened. and i said if you run. i guess he took that to heart. >> kim: there is his mug shot. vincent going into good samaritan mode and it worked out. that man told police that he saw her fall to the ground. other witnesses come forward and intervene and mattingly was arrested and charged with attacking griffin. he's going to be in court on monday and so will our cameras.
