crashed into the back of that semi trailer. 13 people including the driver were killed. 31 others sent to the hospital. five critically injured. the names of those deceased should be released this week. >> kim: flu season barely under way and already the illness has claimed two lives here in the state of nevada. doctors are urging everyone to get their flu shot. one of the victims was from the northern the other one was from down near sun nevada. both were men over the age of 65. we're hearing from doctors who say the elderly are particularly at risk when it comes to the flu. the flu shot is your best defense against tillness. it's not your only defense. one doctor is suggesting you get plenty of sleep this season. eat a vitamin rich diet. the doctor urging people who get

you just saw it there. the passenger in that white mazda s.u.v. firing about 13 rounds at that police vehicle. this is the dash cam surveillance video. nobody was injured in this except a civilian ride along passenger in the front seat of that police vehicle did get some scrapes because the windshield broke and she had glass fall on her face. can you imagine how fright that i mean to say would be not only for the officer but the civilian riding a. still throughout today. >> kim: at&t and time warner announcing one of the largest mergers in the industry, the biggest we've ever seen. saturday they agreed to tie up $85 billion into this deal. at&t business based on wireless and internet service but the merger would allow the service to expand into programming and

i've seen in quite some time. northbound 15 completely shut down with a tractor trailer accident. traffic backed up for a couple of miles. you also have an accident southbound 15 and just before charleston. u.s. 95 is a mess both directions as awe approach the bowl with traffic trying to get on to the 15. two main pieces of advice. avoid the bowl entirely. the other is get on the road early. it's wet and by the way mccarron is diverting aircraft because they have a cell to the south of the airport causing a problem there. >> jeff: we do traffic and weather every 10 minutes. the attention on 15 northbound because of that accident. as we take a look at travel times, you'll see 15 southbound is impacted. i wanted to show you that backup on 15 northbound. it was backed up to southeast

now you are looking at a two or three mile slowdown before you even get to the bowl. 15 southbound currently 44 minute commute from speedway to the bowl behalf accident tom just referenced. this is supposed to say 15 northbound that is jammed at 26 minutes. that is going to get worse over the next hour. account for extra time it slow because we don't want to see more accidents piling up. >> kelly: a lot of accidents being reported on side streets as well. give yourself extra time. i want to start with this look in the valley. this is that storm that tom was just talking about saying flights were being diverted because of this over the airport. it's tracking to the north and e!. a lot of lightning with this. a lot of heavy rain as well.
