breaking news center. in tonight's financial focus.. stocks got back on track today. dow up 125 nasdaq up 39 sp500 up 10 all of the big local gaming stocks were up today except mgm resorts.. which was only off slightly on the day. 2015 was a good year for ford.. which posted record profits. the automaker's net income last year was 7.4 billion dollars.. and its 4th quarter nearly doubled from a year ago. ford's bet on an aluminum f-150 pickup also paid off. the f-series was once again the best selling vehicle in the u-s market. ford is already predicting 2016 will be even better. wages are down in 80 of the nation's 100 largest metropolitan areas. according to a new study by the brookings institution.. almost all of those metro areas saw improvement in at least one area like employment or productivity. but most saw less pay for

rain will be widespread on sunday with some serious cold wind following afterwards. on sunday a very strong arctic low will draw in some deep subtropical moisture from the pacific and intensify over southern nevada. the biggest questions are exactly where the surface low will form since a shift of 100 miles east or west will drastically alter the location of the heaviest rainfall. right now rain looks certain out into western arizona and for the local mountains with heavy snow above 6,000 feet. las vegas will get some rain and some models are forecasting near record amounts of rain sunday (old record is 0.6") whereas others are forecasting closer to 0.15".
