could the oakland raiders be relocating to las vegas? it's the question on a lot of minds here in the valley and nationwide. a big meeting is scheduled for today between executives from las vegas sands and the owner of the raiders. they're discussing the possiblity of bringing the team and a billion dollar stadium to our city. the conversation centers around a 42- acre piece of land near tropicana and paradise that u-n-l-v bought. though many of us hope this is true...there's some naysayers...including sports anchor larry beil from our scripps affiliate in san francisco but because of the gambling association i dont think the nfl is ever going to allow the raiders or anybody else to move to las vegas the raiders are looking to move from oakland because they're in

you may want to check your fridge... the c-d-c says... three more people have gotten sick from a listeria outbreak.... linked to packaged salads..... made at a dole processing facility... in ohio. one person has died...and at least 15 people in 8 states were hospitalized in the outbreak since june. the dole facility stopped production last week and voluntarily recalled all salad mixes. some good news for the valley's economy. the latest numbers show the local jobless rate continues to trend downward. state officials say the unemployment rate in las vegas fell slightly last month to 6 point 2 percent. the state's jobless rate also fell to 6 point 4 percent. and some more consumer news... 20-15 was a good one for ford.

connection with their escape. officials believe she provided them with information they needed to make their break. abc's kayna whitworth has the details. this morning, the woman police say helped these 3 violent crimals escape from this california jail - sitting her own cell? sot - investigators have made a significant arrest in connection to the investigation 44-year-old nooshafarin ravaghi? arrested thursday in connection to the january 22 escape of hossein nayeri, jonathan tieu and bac tien duong. ravaghi - taught english as a second language at the central men's jail. the alleged mastermind behind the jailbreak - hossein nayeri - - reportedly taking one of her classes at the time. officials now saying ravaghi allegedly provided the men with google maps and other information essential to their escape? former fbi special agent in charge steve gomez says the maps may have helped the three get to a specific address or provided a better understanding of surrounding buildings and the jail roof (stand up ) - "inmates are allowed 3 hours of outdoor

police say it's crucial they get tips before too much time passes. if you have any information, call police. ohio's environmental protective agency is warning parents and students at one elementary school not to drink the water. they say there's a possible the district shut down the drinking fountains and sinks at gurney elementary school as a safety precaution. school officials say they've received contradicting messages from the e-p-a. the school is providing bottled water to their students and staff in the meantime. ohio's e-p-a is also investigating reports of lead in water in a suburb of cleveland. a first grade teacher in texas was fired - after parents say she put duct tape over the mouths of her students - saying it was a quote - game. extra counseling is being made available to students who may need it... and after parents filed police reports, juvenile detectives

are investigating to determine what, if any, criminal charges may be warranted. get this-- a 16-year-old wisconsin student was fined 200-dollars for taking a second lunch at school! a written brief alleges the head cook pressed charges against the students for theft. but the district superintendent says that's false. he adds the school provides free and reduced meals to students. meanwhile, a fundraising page set up to help the teen pay his fine received more than one-thousand dollars in donations. getting rid of bullying in schools is one of clark county school district's top priorities. and today... the district wants to make sure our teachers are mission. from 9 a-m until 3 this afternoon... "operation respect" will be holding a bullying prevention workshop for teachers. the goal is to help them know how to handle bullying incidents. it was the final republican debate before the first votes
