for their lives after gunmen storm their house. homicide but 13-action news begins with breaking news out of the northwest part of the valley where a man has been shot and killed. police say... they have a woman in custody... accused of firing the gun! 13 action news reporter.... gina lazara is there now.... with new details. gina. steve and tricia -- the house with the garage door open down there is where this happened. tons of neighbors were outside tonight -- all saying the same thing. how shocked they are that a homicide happened in this quiet neighborhood. police say neighbors called 911 after they heard arguing followed by a gunshot in the driveway. they say a man in his 30s was killed by a woman in her 50s. and that they had been dating for a few years. the woman has not been arrested just yet because they need to figure out if she acted in self defense or not. lt dan mcgrath, metro "she indicated that she was the victim of a domestic violence situation where she has been the couple out and about

he wondered onto the street..... after a fight... with his girlfriend. and... that's where he met his partner... in crime. "i probably shouldn't have done that. we acted pretty childish about it....but....we were in vegas!" court documents say... panzica and -21- year old..... chloe scordianos went inside one of the high roller cabins.... by themselves.... security noticed the pair.... was starting to hook up. so... over the intercom... they were asked to put their clothes back on. the high roller employee says... the two complied.... for a few moments.... but then.... went back at it. panzica is blaming this all.... on alcohol. teenager jumping on a car around 1am near summerlin parkway and buffalo. when they tried to arrest him.. he kicked an officer in the head so hard he had to go to the hospital with a concussion. earnest rogers, witness 16:19:16-16:19:29 "woke up, thought it was a lady screaming, thought someone was doing something to a lady. come outside-- it's a 17-year-old kid butt naked... police got him on the ground." the teenager was finally arrested.. and was also sent to the hospital. new information tonight.... on that feud between neighbors.... over security cameras and privacy.. that led to punches.... being thrown. the -40- year old man.... seen hitting a teenager.. claimed the teenager's surveillance cameras..... were pointed into his home. sean pierrot later put up a blue tarp..... between the homes to block the cameras. a neighbor reached out to -13- action news.. wondering.... if the tarp violated city code. code enforcment says... the tarp was approved...

now there's a blank space on the wall. david: ok, oh no no. we gonna, i just, i just drop it. i gonna put it back, right back right now, ok. /nat transition/ moving on to our imminent health hazard closures, we've got a starbucks full of sewage in the westin hotel on flamingo near koval. instead of shutting themselves down, starbucks kept operating in the midst of a sewage leak--catching the dripping waste in their handsink and trash cans. a food handler stood under leaking sewage from the ceiling to wash his hands, then immediately began to prepare customer drinks and food. sewage was also leaking next to open coffee. and how would you like to eat one of the sandwiches stored in this box? health inspectors found it covered with an unknown, disgusting- looking grease substance. /nat transition/ the other imminent health hazard closure was pretzelmaker in the boulevard mall. it was shut down for no hot water. there was also an excessively dusty fan blowing directly into the oven.

welcome her first child runs into an unexpected problem. she was in her third trimester when her doctor's office suddenly closed. as contact 13 investigative reporter stephanie zepelin explains.. without her records.. she couldn't get a new doctor. rosemary videc didn't know what to expect with her first pregnancy... but says it's been surprisingly easy. 02.28.22 it's been very exciting 25 ive loved every kick 27 theres nothing like it, it's just incredible 30 she found an obgyn she liked - dr susan boyd - and she and the baby were doing well. until out of the blue she got a call that sent her into a panic. 02.29.50 that she had an emergency, a medical emergency 54 and my appointment had to be canceled the next day 57...and 58...00 i just freaked out 30.01 the doctor the referred her to doesn't deliver at the hospital she chose...so rosemary started looking for another doctor in the middle of her third trimester. she couldn't find one to take her.

far to get a new patient 20 or we need to see all your records 23 we can't see you without knowing your medical history, what your pregnancy's been like 29 we went to dr. boyd's office on charleston... and it looked empty inside. her office voicemail asks current patients to leave their information to get their records. rosemary said she did that multiple times and no one ever got back to her. she even contacted the state medical board. suddenly rosemary's pregnancy was a nightmare. 02.31.34 i was freaking out 35 i was at work and i spent like half the day doing it 38 and i was just completely stressed out 41 im like, 'am i going to be in labor?' this is not the kind of stress i need 45 the nevada state board of medical examiners says state law mandates doctors turn over patient records within 10 days of being asked.but what happens when a practice just shuts down? they said the law doesn't say much...and it's grey as to who takes over the records and what the patients can do. rosemary says she feels for dr boyd,, but just wants to get her records so she can get a new doctor.

she asked the landlord at eagle trace if she could move out.. but they told her it would cost her 11 hundred dollars. so what does the law say about breaking your lease after a crime? lauren pena/attorney with the civil law self help center: when there's a third party nevada law... there has to be some sort of breach of the lease agreement that the landlord enacts in order for the tenant to breach the lease. so the lesson is.. if the landlord hasn't broken their end of the lease.. and a third party committed the crime.. you're stuck. less than 24 hours after our original story aired.. we learned management reached out to breonna to reduce the amount they wanted for her to move out. another update out of boulder city.. where police say they're investigating the drugs used at an animal shelter. formal charges have now been filed against former animal control supervisor mary jo frazier. frazier is accused of euthanizing more than 100 animals and violating a city code that requires a 5-day

they tell us this work is essential to avoid sewer overflow in the area. they also say they're doing everything possible to ease the impact of the project. a woman recently reached-out action news because of a problem she has when it's windy. she says junk from a nearby abandoned house blows onto her property. no one has lived there for about two years. she and her landlord have both reached out to the h-o-a for help.. but they say nothing has been done. i feel trapped because i don't own the place so i can't really say much... they're not going to listen to me because i donbt own it... so i dont have much of a voice we called a-p-s management for answers. they say they can't share any information about cleaning-up the mess.. or holding an owner accountable. the clark county assessor's website shows the owner as a living trust. a-p-s management would only say mary and her landlord should make sure to submit complaints in writing. employees at a valley store that sells party merchandise
