another debate tonight.. this one in wisconsin. bernie sanders is coming-off a huge win in new hampshire.. but admits the upcoming contests in south carolina and here in nevada won't be that kind of slam-dunk. vega: if the election were tomorrow do you think you could win south carolina and nevada? sanders: no. fortunately for us the election is not tomorrow. the remaining gop field is already in south carolina.. where ohio governor john kasich is getting some big crowds after finishing second in new hampshire. we could also start to see the kinder-gentler donald trump.. who now says he's pulling attack ads.. and will only air positive campaign ads going forward. an action news update now on the feud between donald trump and univison. the hollywood reporter now says they've reached an undisclosed settlement. trump sued univision this past summer for not airing the miss usa pageant. univision made the move after

comments about illegal immigration. the city of cleveland is apologizing to the family of tamir rice..... after they received.... a -5- hundred-dollar invoice.... for the ambulance used to rush the boy.... to the hospital the city has now withdrawn the invoice... but... the family's attorney says... it amounts to harassment. rice was shot and killed.... in - 2- thousand -14-..... by a cleveland police officer.... as he played with a pellet gun... in a park. in december... a grand jury declined to indict the two officers.... involved in the case. a north dakota police officer is in grave condition at this hour after he was shot in the line of duty. it happened overnight in fargo.. when police responded to an active shooter situation. police say the gunman called 9-1-1 himself.. asking officers to evacuate houses nearby.. but it turned out to be a trap. when police arrived.. he opened fire.. then held officers at bay for hours with constant fire from a rifle. david todd fargo chief officer moszer condition is that he has a wound that is not survivable.

they're saying goodbye to him according to local media reports.. if that officer dies.. it would be the first deadly shooting of a fargo police officer since 1882. u-s attorney general loretta lynch says tonight she had no choice but to sue the city of furgerson, missouri. city leaders wanted to amend an agreement with the d-o-f they say the city can't afford to implement. lynch.. however.. isn't buying it. she's now forcing civil rights litigation.. claiming residents are being treated unfairly by police.. and a profit-driven court system. new at 6:30.. because of the issues in furgeson and in other cities around the u-s.. a new effort is underway to re-build trust between communities and their police departments. that includes taking a hard look at the use of force. anne mcnamara takes us inside a training facility in washington state that's leading the

low pressure system moves through southern idaho and northern nevada bringing some slightly cooler air through the higher levels of the atmosphere. temperatures will be about 2-4 cooler than this past week but that'll still keep las vegas in the low 70s. another massive area of high pressure shoves in behind that to kick temperatures back up into the low and middle 70s. farther out in the forecast period a stronger system is forecast for wednesday of next week with temperatures kicked slightly warmer just before it moves in and slightly cooler just behind it. no rain or really cold weather is expected for the next 7 days.
