"you asked us.... into what happened... to "little rudy". managers at henderson petland were too busy to talk with us again today. but their corporate office is finally speaking about this photo that has been shared hundreds of times. petland's corporate office sent us a statement today, saying in part: "the puppy was eating well and exhibited no health issues other than being on the low-end of the ideal weight range for his age and breed." the vet for petland who examined him here says he is underweight, but not emaciated. so we went to some breed experts at the rhodesian ridgeback club of the united states. one member said, she was "appalled at the emaciated condition" of the puppy. three different board members
