drive and bicentennial parkway. police say the robbers even held her at gunpoint, demanding her aluables. she's recovering from minor injuries this morning. it's not clear how many suspects were involved, but they did get away with cash and jewelry. a clark county firefighter is recovering after being rushed to u-m- c after a house fire near rainbow and wigwam. as firefighters arrived last night, the garage and first floor of the home were on fire. nobody inside was hurt, but one firefighter may suffered heat exhaustion. the firefighter is in stable condition this morning. ahead today... hundreds of casino workers are setting up camp in front of sunrise hospital, rallying for better health insurance. the culinary and bartenders unions are organizing the protest, which should run from 5 until 7 tonight. the groups say their rally should have no effect on people being treated at the hospital. they're just fighting for more affordable health care. the democratic presidential candidates are ready to battle in primetime. the democratic caucus in our state is on saturday. new polls show hillary clinton

this happened in houston, texas last thursday. one robber, holding a gun, is seen yanking a woman by the hair. the second man hits her with a chair. the woman's brother then picks up a chair of his own and starts swinging. the owner's daughter says three young men in hoodies came in pretending to be customers. the accident also caused a massive power outage in the area, located just 20 miles north of los angeles. right now... metro is investigating two separate shootings. they happened around the same time, but in different areas of the valley. the latest one was around 8 last night, near revere and carey. we're told a woman in her 30's was found with a gunshot wound. she is in serious condition. we're working to get a suspect description and motive from police. the other shooting happened near maryland parkway and hacienda. metro says someone was shot at we're working to get information on both the victim and suspect in this one. here's something you don't see every day -- a slow-speed police chase... involving heavy machinery! a man in florida is facing multiple charges afterhis joy-ride in a back- hoe. police say it started when the boulders on to the road. then he drove up and down the bridge for an hour and a half, causing damage. police started to pursue him, and eventually they stopped him with spike strips.

channel 9 about her family's panicked emotions as she was expecting her daughter's american airlines flight from syracuse. maggie was spending time with family and was supposed to return to charlotte at 8:50 p.m. weather. then at 1:30 a.m., maggie called saying she was in columbia, her flight was canceled, and someone was taking her off the plane. "i'm getting frantic, because i have no idea who took her off contact with her for more than an hour. they started driving to columbia and called american airlines trying to get information. halfway to columbia, american airlines said the flight wasn't canceled and maggie's plane would land in charlotte. her parents drive back to charlotte, only to get a canceled. your daughter is in columbia,'" corrine chausse said. as they drove back to columbia a room for minors in the columbia airport. corrine chausse said five minutes later, her daughter on the plane. representative told channel 9 that the flight was canceled
