we are following.. a pedestrian has died.... after being hit by a car.... near eastern and tropicana.. police say... the victim was hit by a pick-up truck just hours ago... and died.... at sunrise trauma. northbound and southbound eastern at reno is shut down.... while police investigate. now to a story you'll see only on action news. for a second time.. the scene of a homicide goes up in flames. it happened only months after a family was attacked.. set on fire.. and left to die inside. and the timing is also eerie. the flames igniting..... just moments after a second victim terrorized.... in the november fire.... died from her injuries. tonight... new details....

13 action news reporter.... mahsa saeidi rushed to the scene.... last night. she's live now... with what firefighters are saying. mahsa? they say people have been going in and out of this house since the first fire. they still don't know if the second fire last night was intentional or an accident. tonight relatives tell me this was the bedroom of the woman who died. right there in the corner ... her baby's crib. this ...her little girl's slipper ... the one year old who'll never know her mom. "it's been how many months that she's been in pain so she's in a better place now." angelica jiminez finally at peace! it was a sunny day in november! that the mom and three others were attacked inside their home! jiminez's dad mario was killed. but she survived. the hero who pulled her from the flames telling 13 action news --- her arms were bound! her face duck-taped! the 27 year-old ... had been set on fire!

weather story we've been following all day. we probably don't have to tell you how windy it's been today. live look outside right now.. where things have died down considerably. but.. that wasn't the case this afternoon. this video shows how blustery things got in some parts of the valley a few hours ago. so.. what can we expect going into the weekend? 13-weather first chief meteorologist bryan scofield is in the weather center with the answer. bryan. wind advisories and warnings will continue into the afternoon today with the highest gusts expected along the eastern side of the valley. gusts have been peaking around 50mph throughout the morning with gusts near 60mph up on mt. charleston. winds will gradually subside through the day but will remain friday. sunshine sticks around through the weekend with just some decorative high level clouds overhead to make the skies beautiful.

70s for sunday through the middle of next week. the biggest speed bump in the weather will be some gusty-ish winds on sunday and monday from the north, but those will winds for las vegas will be noticeable but shouldn't gust much higher than 25mph or so. calmer winds stick around for we've seen some wind damage around the valley. one of the hardest hit areas was summerlin.. where 13 action news saw reports of 50-mile-an-hour gusts. one blast was strong enough to bring down a big tree in a woman's backyard. carol sullivan says she ran out to do an errand as the winds were picking- up.. and at some point while she was away.. a huge tree was bown over. up on mount charleston.... the high winds were also mixed with snow... and... even some sleet. the manager of the lodge also says...
