9:02 am
the -- >> hillary clinton and donald trump, everybody. >> i would like you to note hillary is on the left. >> i did that on purpose. and trump is on the right. >> trump is on the right. >> i get to step on them all day. it's great. >> you hit a whole new level. >> marsha wins. >> good shop, marsha. first up today from predicting oscar winners to predicting natural disasters gary spi amazed audiences for year. >> we got him first. gary is live in studio. how are you, buddy? >> great, guys. glad to be here. >> let's talk about this gift that you have. you've been on the radio in las vegas since 1994. >> yes. >> you've been sharing your gift for years. how did you realize you had this power? >> the better question would be to how did i not realize it, because i was born psychic.
9:03 am
growing up in south carolina. i would tell my parents this is going to happen. and i would happen, and they go oh, you know. so finally, they would just don't ask him if you don't want to know. i just knew things. it was so easy for me to be psych like because i was naturally psychic. a lot of kids are, though. >> how do you experience it? is it a thought? is it a vision? >> it can be all of the above. everybody psychic a little bit. like with you ability with gut intuition. you'll know when to back off and you'll know who is who in the room. and you know that, right? you got that thing. and so sometimes you have little dreams, and you have little things in your head where you have a dream and you'll try to put together what it means. >> it's tough. >> yes. >> i have a big head. a lot of dreams. >> everybody has a psychic ability, so that's the great thing. i love doing live shows.
9:04 am
saturday at the palm, from 8:00 o'clock. and we're going to be there saturday night. and i teach other people how to use their gifts and how to tap into that. and really receive other spiritual gifts. because if you got spiritual gifts it's like cheating. it's easier. life is easier. and i think everybody needs that these days. >> no question. >> lot of negativity. if you can get rid of the negative tithe, i teach how to do it in a fun way. i teach people how to use their stuff. i answer people, you know, all those things. yeah, yeah. and get rid of your demons. i'm probably the most famous demon remover in the world. what a title, right? i can get people of -- get rid of dark energy. >> we don't have demons in the studio, do we? >> i think he's got demons on his feet. i'm not sure.
9:05 am
>> i think so. so you're a psychic, a medium, and you're a spiritual healer. all three. what is the difference between them? >> the psychic means i can see things that are going to happen. i see a nice trip coming for you. >> oh, i hope so. >> and this is a nice little trip. and it's sort of been followed out but you not decided that it will happen. that's coming up in the next little bit here. and i feel a trip with you i seereally good things, and things around and going into organization. you're organizing stuff. i see you doing that. and it makes you happy when you finally get your junk together. i don't know if it's the kitchen, but i see you organizing. >> that's every single night. >> things are sort of little things, or i can read combinations. i make decisions for people, i read a lot of wall street people. and so i can see things, i can also medium would be someone who
9:06 am
other side. and so that's what a medium is. and i do that all the time. and then a spiritual healer would mean get rid of dark energies in your body. as i do that healing energy rushes in. if i look at you, can i do this? and i am going a little dark energy off of your back because you get stressed back there. and now your feet are tingling. you feel that? it's a word feeling, right? >> i'm not sure it's always so unusual when i sit in front of a psychic because what i'm thinking is are you reading my mind. >> no. no. it's a different thing. >> we feel mentally naked. >> you are. no, it's not like that. i don't read your mind. i can see people naked, it's easy. >> what? >> i'm a medical intuitive. i can see your gallbladder. but it's like that being psychic. you get used to it. it's like that.
9:07 am
does everybody get a personal reading or somebody local being pulled? >> that's the great thing about this room i'm doing at the palms. and this is a very intimate room where i'm in the middle and everybody is asking me questions, all around me. >> wow. >> so this is where a lot of times i'm doing a room 2,000, 3,000 people, and this is my favorite venue because i love doing the palms. it's a small intimate room. tickets will sell out, so get your tickets. it's gentleman a has the x shows around town, so we're good. and so -- but this is -- this will be a fun show where everybody gets to ask me questions, you know. >> awe many so. >> and the show becomes the audience. and whatever the -- whatever their drama is is the show. >> every gary spivey show is different. >> i have nothing scripted. you walk out and answer the questions, and you know, like i said, hook people with angels,
9:08 am
your own spiritual gift, which is important. >> one last question. will you change your white shoes after labor day? >> no. that's all i have. everything is white. >> there we go. it's great having you. >> good to be here. >> glad to you back in town. be amazed by gary spivey saturday inside the lounge, palms casino resort. tickets start at $27. they can be purchased by calling the number on your screen. make sure you log onto your web and give it a c up next, fresh off the heels of her brand-new album, rocks our stage with a live performance. what's up?

9:13 am

losing hair? trying everything you can to bring it back? regrow back your own natural hair with no pain and no side effects. it's possible according to our next guest. here with more is lindsay kay from laser med solutions. explain laser hair therapy. it sounds like something out of some sort of science fiction
9:21 am
>> it is a noninvasive treatment. so there is no pain and absolutely no side effects. and what we're doing is we're using low level laser to actually heal the hair follicles, and regrow back your own natural hair. >> how is this working? >> we are applying laser energy directly to the hair follicle, and this in turn is stimulating the growth stage. we are increasing circulation and blood flow back to the scalp. we are going to stimulate that growth stage for you. >> i was actually reading up how this is done and how they cam about this. and they tested it on rats or slick that and realized the rats were growing afros. how is it possible? >> the nice part about it is it is your own natural hair. with it you're able to be treated whether you're male or female. it doesn't matter your age. what we check for is actually active hair follicles. and a lot of the time when you don't have any visible hair there in that area, you still have an active hair follicle and we can still help.
9:22 am
to clear whatever is -- >> correct. and everybody's severity will be different, and that's something we have to check in clinic with an evaluation. but you come in, we'll check to see if you have active hair follicles. we'll let you know how long it will take you to get the best results. >> how long does it take to get the results? >> the laser takes effect in four to six weeks and typically seeing the positive cosmetic change in the first few months. it does depend on your severity of hai something we can address in chin i can with that evaluation for you. >> we're taking a look at before and afters, and it's remarkable. the one thing especially that one, my goodness -- >> that patient right there did get better results than was expected of course, because you can see the severity when he first came in. and you would take an initial look and think wow, we cannot help this person. they have no active hair follicles. so sometimes you may think you are too far gone when that's not the case. the most important part is
9:23 am
can address it and see if you have the active hair follicles. >> who is a good candidate? when it comes to hair loss a lot of time when you see medication it's generally only for men. >> yes. this is something where we can treat males, but we can treat females with this, which is exciting because females don't have a lot of options. it's very traumatic for a female to suffer from hair loss. and a lot of time we are covering up with wigs, tensions, which could be further damaging to the >> of course. >> so as soon as you notice any type of hair loss or hair fall out, you definitely want to do something about it because the sooner you catch it, the better result we can actually get you with this. >> so i know there is no pain. do you feel like a warming sensation or anything? >> it's a cold -- there is no heat actually coming from it, but there is going to be no pain, no heat. it's nice and easy for you and again no side effects. so it doesn't real i had matter your medical history. if you're on certain
9:24 am
health concerns, we can still treat you with these terrorism treatment. most people will be a good candidate. >> we're taking a look at the machine you use in-house. this is not one of those 700-dollar buy at home things. >> no. we have in clinic treatment programs. we have home treatment programs, so depends on your lifestyle and what's convenient for you. and a lot of patients nowadays are doing a laser cap, which is a portable cap that they can use in the comfort of their own and nice and simple for them. >> there is really options out there. if people want to take advantage you have a special offer. >> you need to call us today, but if you give us a call today we'll do that evaluation and consultation for free, so you can come in. it takes about half an hour. we'll check to see if you have active hair follicles and if we can treat you and help you. >> it's a lot cheaper than getting surgery. >> it's a lot cheaper, absolutely. >> and less painful. >> well there is no pain
9:25 am
any side effects. so again, it's pain-free for you. come in, we'll see if we can help you. >> just bring your work there, bring your laptop, go under the lamp. great having you. >> thank you so much. >> laser med solutions, they offer a free consultation and evaluation. in addition to a free first clinical laser session for anyone who calls and books a consult. today only though. you got to call now. for more information on the latest technology to control hair loss, check out the website on your screen or call listed. thank you, shawn. as we head to break, tomorrow you can check out a sensory friendly screen of life animated at 10:30 in the morning at the regularel theater. tickets are $6.50. life animated is the inspirational story of a young man unable to speak as a child until they discovered a unique way to communicate.

9:28 am
welcome back to the blend. monday clark county kids head back to class. but it's not just the kids hitting the books. adults are going back to class, as well. >> producer micah has more on getting the degree is than you thought. let's do it. >> having a full-time job or raising a family shouldn't stop you from getting a degree you've always wanted. so here to show us how grown ups can go back to school is chip palfac, cofounder and ceo of online partner for universities. good morning, chip. >> good morning. thanks for having me. >> of course. because we want to get back into that back to school, not just
9:29 am
great for grown ups, as well. >> that's absolutely right. two you partners with great universities, like usc or georgetown or northwestern, to create high quality masters programs that you can take from literally anywhere using a technology that looks like the beginning of the brady bunch. you're live with your faculty member in one square, and your classmates are in the other squares, and you are literally getting the exact same degree as you would on campus at the same quality level as these great schools offer in a campus program. so it really is the first time in history that you don't are to pick up your life, quit your job, and move to attend a fabulous school. >> if you're a parent and have numerous roles, for example working and caring for the family, how can someone make this work? >> well, you know, good example, my wife graduated from our usc master of education program, and she was a stay-at-home mom during the whole thing.
9:30 am
stay-at-home moms are. i'm in our university of north carolina chapel hill mba program, believe it or not. so i run a publicly traded company, but yes i'm actually a mba student. and so what you do is you select a class time that you fit into your schedule, and the class times are offered across the time zones, because students are in these programs globally. and you have to make that commitment to class. but all you need is a laptop or ipad, and i can tell you personally i've done class from to ireland, to all over the united states. so you really can fit it in if you make that commitment to further your education. >> and the universities you're working with have seen the quality of the education are the same. >> these are some of the best institutions in the world. if you can actually become a real troy january and become part of that network, and when i say that i don't mean that in a trivial way. these students are full members
9:31 am
and same responsibilities. now to be clear, same admission requirements, so it's not a two year program, it's a berkeley program and you have to apply and they decide whether you get in. i will tell you that you're becoming that part of that community that has been around for hundreds of years for a reason. these are exceptional places of learning. the difference is access has been a bit of a problem. so you know, the question is if you're in vegas and you would like to go to a top 20 mba prog aren't going to be able to fly to chicago or to wherever you need to fly to, to enroll. and really the single biggest cost to graduate education is the opportunity cost of your job. so my advice would be take a look at it, masters programs are really a great ticket to success in life. there is slick 22% job growth expected for people that have master's degrees. one of the thing i would tell
9:32 am
so the degrees that we offer range from data science to social work to nursing, to physician assistant. they'ral sort of all over. it's a great opportunity for people to take charge of their own education. >> and to sum everything up, if our viewers want more information, where can they go for more information? >> the number two, letter u,.com. so it's number two, letter u. you can find information about all of our partner these aren't 2 u programs, they're university programs. but you can find them on our website. and thank you for having me on today. >> of course. thank you for joining us as well. you're living proof that you can go to school while still working, as well. >> thank you. >> if you're ready to take charge of your life and go after want you want all you have to do is visit the website 2 u.com to learn how to apply. again, that is the number two, u.com. guys, back over to you.
9:33 am

i'm catherine cortez masto and i approve this message. as a doctor, i see how decisions in washington impact my patients here in nevada. so even though i'm a republican, i won't be voting for joe heck. joe heck's voted ten times to defund planned parenthood, which thousands of women depend on for cancer screenings. and heck opposes a woman's right to choose even when her health is at risk. for me and my patients, joe heck makes no sense. switch to centurylink and get up to 40 megs of high-speed internet for just $20 a month. that's the speed you need to stream... ...game... ...connect on social media... learn, shop and more with fast in-home wifi. so call 844-560-link. get up to 40 megs of high-speed internet for just $20 a month for one year when bundled with a qualifying home phone plan and autopay. speed may not be available in your area. call today.

9:38 am

9:40 am
we have three other locations. >> but this event will be -- >> only at this northwest vegas location. >> pulling out all the stops. >> you're bringing people in and getting people cleaned up, end of the summer clean up. you got to do it. with the veterans, can people also just donate on their own to your -- >> absolutely. we're happy to accept foundations. they can mail in checks to -- they can again, to our website las vegas.va.gov. >> not.com, dot government. >> people can soon give their time, correct? >> absolutely. we have the best volunteers bar none. and we're always looking for new volunteers who can come and help make the experience of veterans even better.

9:47 am
>> yes, he's a very attractive guy. but it was really interesting to speak with him, i have to tell you. as you know he's deaf, so i sat between him and his interpreter who has gone every with him. he's super interesting. and i asked him a little bit about the upcoming chippendales show. so we're going to take a look here. >> how much will you be dancing? do you know yet? and hosting as well what your duties are going to be. >> i don't know yet. we're going to find out a bit more. since i have the experience with "dancing with the stars," i think this might not be too difficult. >> are you kidding? you're going to rock this. i have total faith in you. >> perfect. >> i wonder if there will be certain unique sign language that might be used in the chippendales theater. >> i'm sure. i was thinking about that. i'm sure i'll probably get the audience involved with something like that, and that is something that we'll figure out on.
9:48 am
