police -- desperately search good evening -- and welcome to this special edition of 13 action news. i'm christopher king. a murder victim's family -- is furious with police -- after the suspected killer escapes custody. tonight -- he's still on the loose -- considered armed -- and dangerous. 13 action news reporter -- david schuman joins us with new details. david. 31-year-old mohammad robinson's sister says her brother was the door for a woman at a mcdonald's. she says that woman then went and told her man...who followed robinson and killed him. north las vegas police took alonso perez into custody friday as a suspect...but he escaped the detective bureau. we have these images of him but he still hasn't been found. perhaps the most distinctive part of his description is that he's got a small tattoo of the "air jordan" logo on his neck. robinson's sister is beside herself about her brother's death -- and she's frustrated

-- in downtown las vegas. the flames erupting -- outside a boarded up home -- near 10th street -- and charleston. no one was injured. the cause of the fire is under investigation. here's a live look across the valley right now. it looks really nice outside. but --there's a red-flag warning on right now. it's hot -- dry and windy out there. that means -- conditions are just right -- for wildfires. let's check in with 13-first-alert meteorologist -- karla huelga. karla really careful out there. storm systems passing to our north will keep us breezy to windy for the next several days and will keep high temps in the 90s through next work week. expect another day on the low end of the windy category tomorrow with gusts to about 35mph and high in the low to mid 90s around the valley. labor day will be even cooler with highs in the low 90s and some breezes. by tuesday high temps will be back in the low to mid 90s and

and in kansas city -- a teenage girl -- gunned down. two others -- injured. police -- now searching for two gunmen. authorities say -- the men -- driving by -- firing shots into residents -- have had enough. it. the board was forced to pay sanctions for being evasive and disobeying court orders in friedrich's ongoing case. he started the fight after discovering he's not part of an hoa... even though he lives in a guard-gated hoa community. 13:10 darcy: you believe rancho bel air belongs in the hoa hall of shame? jonathan: you betcha, because they have lied, they have cheated, they have deceived people. they tried to take my home away from me! they tried to foreclose! they had no understand why the hoa had no authority to do that even after friedrich stopped paying his monthly assessments, we need to talk donuts. 24:21 darcy stand-up: this is a donut hole, but so are and the hole simply isn't part of it. friedrich, who's currently running for state senate, is a retired construction supervisor and outspoken advocate for

oversees hoas. / nat pop 13:49 - this area outlined in red is rancho bel air unit 1./ within rancho bel air, there's a dividing line. one friedrich literally painted down the middle of his street at his property line. the community is made up of two units, developed at different times. :48 jonathan: it took the state of nevada many years to figure out there's something very wrong here. friedrich followed a found proof that homeowners in unit one were never officially part of the hoa. a few have never paid the $200 monthly assessments. others opted to join the hoa. and then, there's jonathan. 2:54 jonathan: i gladly paid it for 10 years. but i was lied to! that's what irks me. court records show the developer for unit two sent all homeowners a letter telling them they were part of the hoa. but it wasn't official.

3:44 barry: we are not one of the gestapo associations that you read about. barry becker is the unit two developer and an hoa board member. 1:48 barry: and we don't enforce anything on anybody in unit one, with the exception of requesting that they pay the association dues. the association collects what they call an "amenities assessment," which friedrich refuses to pay. it covers the manned guard gate, street lights and maintenance and some as for the security of living in a guard-gated community? 8:10 j: they cannot and have not provided security for us, even though they say it. last year, there were six burglaries in this part of the community. still, becker believes... 8:05 barry becker: he bought into a guard-protected community and now he wants someone else to pay for his share of that. i don't think that helps anybody.
