and now...to charlotte...where violence erupted again overnight. already... it's been a busy morning ... as abc's maggie rulli reports....the community is trying to clean up after last nights..... the national guard and the state highway patrol on the streets of charlotte after a second night of unrest. demonstrations erupted into chaos overnight at the scene of the fatal police shooting of keith lamont scott when protestors violently stormed into heart of downtown charlotte. the nba charlotte hornets team store was looted. fir police, as they fired back with flash grenades and tear gas. trash cans thrown into windows of the bank of america building. we gave additional orders to disperse and protesters continue to damage property and to throw objects and assault our officers. police in riot gear got control of the situation, at least seven people left injured including one man who is on life support. police say that victim was shot by another protestor. mayor: the streets are open and

called in. police have identified the suspect, but are not yet releasing that information. not a lot of details are being released - since this stand-off just ended a few minutes ago - new at midday... the man accused of shooting two people inside a parking garage at mccaran appeared in court for the first time this morning. the district attorney requested that jeffrey brown's bail be set at one million dollars. but the judge settled on 650- thousand dollars. brown's court appearance follows police report from monday's incident. investigators say jeffery brown broke into his estranged wife's apartment while she was on vacation. police say he then went to the airport.... before confronting his wife and her boyfriend--- then shooting them. brown was eventually arrested at the v-a hospital. an early morning fire at the golden nugget forced hundreds of people out of their rooms--- and onto the streets downtown.. marissa kynaston explains how this fire could have been prevented.
