critical condition. houston police are investigating the shooting of an inmate during his medical treatment. investigators say a sheriff's deputy shot and wounded ricky lynn hall while he was being treated for seizures. police say hall grabbed a weapon with a blade during his procedure and tried to take a student nurse hostage...threatening to harm her. the deputy then shot him twice and hall was later taken to surgery. no wo authorities in minnesota say the off-duty police officer who shot and killed a man attacking people with a knife at a shopping mall was justified in using deadly force. dahir adan stabbed ten people last month inside the crossroads center mall in st. cloud before he was killed. investigators say adan was a 20-year old somali refugee who may have been inspired by islamic terror groups. a dramatic rescue caught on camera. some employees at an ohio pizzeria are being credited
