still burning.. the "october fire" burning near charleston. crews say the flames have spread to about 27 acres, but it's about 35 percent contained strong winds are making things harder for firefighters. people living on the mountain have been reaching out to us.. concerned because the flames are so close to their homes, but the forrest service tells us the fire has been moving away from residential areas. investigators believe this was started by an illegal campfire.

afte battling wildfires near reno... the good news is some much needed rain is helping those fire fighters after the fires destroyed 22 homes... the new concern though....is flooding. right now 500 homes are in the danger zone in washoe county and are under mandatory evacuation orders. governor sandoval has already declared a state of emergency.... riders of new jersey transit can now ride in and out of hoboken. this after last month's deadly train crash shut the station down. hoboken was opened for service this morning.... it is the first time the terminal's been up and running since a deadly commuter train crash on september 29th. the train rammed through a passenger concourse ... killing a woman and injuring more than 100 others. the station is still undergoing repairs after the crash... new this midday.. police say at least nine people are dead after a fight breaks out at a brazilian penitentiary... it happened in the city of boa. officials say 7 bodies were piled up and burned by the
