putting in overtime. marissa kynaston takes us inside nhp's southern caommand center.. to show us what the people there are doing to make sure you aren't continually stu traffic. carnado is keeping technicians here busy-- theyre monitoring hundreds of cameras-- many of them showing project neon traffic and construction. take vo but technicians actually have two screens-- one-- monitoring the cameras-- and two-- monitoring traffic flow and comments through the waze navigation app. rtc has a partnership with waze-- and sends them all the information about project neon construction projects and times-- including information about carnado.

police chopper was overhead! this all happened wednesday night.... eventually josh adkins pulled over at home and was taken into custody.... the 35-year-old was booked on suspicion of unlawful flight from law enforcement and other charges. we're now hearing the 9-1-1 calls from one man's terrifying encounter with this oklahoma double murder suspect-- who police are still searching for. "yeah we need an ambulance over here we have a guy who got (butted with) "somebody just ran up to him and shot him." police say the man was at a gas station when michael vance pointed his a- k 47 at him and told him to take him wherever he wanted to go or he would kill him. the man fought vance off, but he shot him once. "this gentleman still has him on his list because he didn't get to kill him. vance is accused of murdering his aunt and uncle, and shooting two police officers

trick-or-treating can be fun for kids of all ages ... as long as you follow a few safety tips. before heading out ... make sure costumes are fire-resistant... test out halloween make-up to make sure it's non-toxic ... and don't forget to clean those faces before bedtime. when it's time go out and collect candy, fasten reflective tape to kids' costumes and bags, so they can be seen by drivers after dark. you can also send them with small flashlights or glowsticks. children under the age of 12 should always be accompanied by it's okay to let older kids go out in groups ... but you should plan a route with them and set a time when they should be home. once they hit the streets, both kids and caretakers should put electonic devices down and pay attention to their surroundings. stick to the sidewalks or paths, keep an eye on traffic, and look both ways when crossing roads. also, be sure to watch for cars that are turning or backing up. try to visit only homes of people you know ... or neighborhood houses that have a porchlight on and
