9:01 am
i love what they name bulls. you figure you breed a bull, there is an art to it. you make the right combination. and they got like in the top ten this year. so stone so beer, i like that one. pearl harbor. you got to love that. is that a great name? >> so dark. >> if i breed a bull i would name it elvis. wouldn't that be a great i'm shawn tempesta. >> good morning. i'm j.j. snyder. >> we're getting started right now. get ready to paint the town for a great cause, a chance to purchase great art and help out for aid for aides of nevada. >> afan executive director antioco carrillo and fernando reyes are here. good morning. >> thank you for having us. >> we're going to be painting the town. >> absolutely. >> tell us about it.
9:02 am
anniversary. it's a law firm here in town. and they gather all these artists, local artists and they bring them together and it's attended by in a lone trough businesses, by people that love art, and they can purchase art, and part of the proceeds come to afan. so this is a place where we get together in the name of art. and we have a good time, and we thank the guys supporting us. >> absolutely. let's talk about some of these pieces. these are incredible. this alone, i love this. let's talk about this piece. the pieces that we're looking at. >> i would like to say that i'm happy to be here with both of you, all three of you. and i like to use the stratosphere as the symbol of vegas. you recognize the area right away. and it's called love concurs

9:04 am
>> interesting. >> but look at the quality. that's what we often miss in vegas, that there's no art. and you have a group of individuals committed to living in vegas, and support local charities. and look at the quality. so this is state of the art for us. we're very excited. >> this is just a tiny bit of the art. how many appeals are we talking? >> i don't -- i don't have the count right now. we have had in the past 35 pieces, 40 >> beautiful. >> and -- >> isn't that fun? antioco tell us where the proceeds go from. >> the proceeds go to afan. we want to be able to support the artists and make sure that they get part of the proceeds. the event is on november 11th. which is this coming friday night, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.,

9:11 am
for another word with a f in it, and this one makes tv, and so it's not a b, but it's kind of a f word light. >> and you're a man of god, you don't want -- >> you know, i am a christian, okay? but i'm know poster boy for the faith, but i do -- i do love jesus. i guess you got a pastor coming in here. >> we do. we do. an amazing event happening. speaking of gold, and being a christian you have a beautiful cross around your neck. and nugget in your pocket. >> i do. i do. >> what you got? >> i got a nugget in my pocket. >> here we go. >> check this out. >> whoa. >> i think i'm seeing a nugget. haven't i seen that in the opening of gold rush? >> i don't know if that was the one or not, but i try to bring these, you know, because everybody is -- they always think that gold minors got to carry gold in their pocket and so i do. >> that is -- >> this is heavy.
9:12 am
>> that's a $20,000 nugget. obviously you don't get those very often. it's very rare. >> look at that. >> look at that. >> you notice how she didn't want to give it up. this is why gold is so valuable. >> she did it. >> here is -- okay. my question to you, first of all, did this come from oregon? >> i -- no, that one actually came from bc, up from by -- in bc. that's not a nugget from this year, but didt big nugget. >> i have seen all three episodes. how are we looking this season? >> you want to know the truth. >> i really do but i understand there's nondisclosure. >> i'm not supposed to give you spoilers, but let me tell youing so. it gets worst. so it -- but something incredible happens towards the end of the season, and you got to watch because i think it was
9:13 am
i think that some things happen that -- yeah, that's basically all i can say. but my troubles aren't over, and there are some things you're going to see in the show. i got to be honest with you, you know, we're not real proud of. and you know, there was -- there's some tension in my team that erupts to the point, and i look back at the footage and i just -- i hope that, you know, like we talked about, you know, i have a faith, and i just hope and i hope that, you know, what you're going to see and how we maybe handled that situation, i'm hoping that they edit it properly so that there was some reconciliation. but there is some tough stuff coming from our team. i never seen so much, you know, drama and as far as -- >> they have been pulling back. you've seen the promise land.
9:14 am
>> like 14. >> and how many ounces is this? >> that's nine. >> so they got just about that. >> yes. >> it takes a lot of work to find this. i'm wondering, off the top of you head what is your most exciting fine? if i found this in dirt i would be -- >> i would be happy. >> i think, you know, just the opportunity to mine is my -- with my best friends, you work when you -- that's the test. that's if you pass or failed. and you look in there, and you know, i have a day this year that i look in the box and something amazing happens. i'll leave it at that. but when you look in your box and you see it lined with gold, it's unbelievable. it's something that is like -- it's almost spiritual. i know there's a pastor here. >> it's amazing.
9:15 am
gold out of the town, there's something magical about it. >> it's incredible. we're running out of time. we want to make sure we talk about the sweepstakes. what's going on? >> i don't know. >> you can watch and enter the final gold tally from each episode and that is how you can figure out whether -- that's how you enter in the sweepstakes. >> and the gold. >> there is a goal. there is a goal with this one. you guys want to play, i don't know what the goal [ laughter ] >> i'm telling you, you got to watch this show. if you don't, my goodness. it's phenomenal. >> you got me on it,ha. >> i got him onto it. >> season one we satellite interviewed you and your father told me to watch it. >> what about looking for gold in nevada? >> nevada has a ton of gold, oregon's got gold, and colorado's got gold. there is a lot of states in the lower 48s that have gold.
9:16 am
i'll start the operation. >> thanks for joining us. >> airs fridays at 9:00 p.m. on discover' channel. for information and get in on the sweepstakes go to discovery.com. we'll be back. as a marine combat veteran, i understand the sacrifices our military makes. our benefits are earned, and we rely on them. politicians like joe heck should understand that. narrator: joe heck voted to shut down the federal government, risking critical services for nevada veterans. and during that shutdown, heck continued cashing his congressional paycheck. es respect. but back in dc, joe heck is putting politics before nevada. and that doesn't work for me. narrator: vote vets is responsible for the content

i moved on her like a b****. priorities usa action is responsible for the content of this advertising. it's an easy way to take years off your appearance. it only takes five if your teeth are yellowing due to coffee, tea, red wine, smoking, you need to pay attention. our next guest says a whiter smile can make you look up to 13 years younger. what? scott defalco is here. help us get a whiter smile, and not in hours, not in days, five minutes. >> less than five minutes. >> that's ridiculous. >> it's incredible. i've been doing this product for over two years.
9:19 am
this is a revolutionary product that is proven to white enyour teeth two shades in less than five minutes. i'm going to do a quick demo. six shades over seven-day. >> pretty incredible. the yell hoe teeth are like the rings inside a tree. >> for humans. i tell people i will take an average looking person, put them on a split screen. i'll take j-lo. yes, even side, if her teeth are yellow or stained the attraction factor goes way down, really does. and your eyes are going to go to that person with the whiter teeth because it doesn't matter what you look like, if you smile and your teeth are yellow or stained it kills everything. >> we have video to look at. >> we did a panel. we took 100 people and showed them that digitally altered picture, and they guessed the girl on the right was up to 13 years younger. they did.
9:20 am
>> yes. same person. digitally aller thed. but look at the girl on the right. she looks like she could take on the world. the girl on the left looks unhealthy. let me tell you, i have a younger wife who likes to remind me of that daily. so trust me, i want the 13 years, believe me. >> tell us how this works. >> it is a quick two step process, patented technology. the first step is the stain out swab. you roll it just like this. you rub it and your top and bottom teeth like that. over the two minutes we accomplish two things. number one we lift the stains off of our teeth. and the other products people use the strips and trace they will whiten the strain but they don't remove them. >> i notice you can continue talking. it's not the gluey stuff and burning your mouth. >> and that's the strips and the trays. and people have big complaints about them. they're time-consuming, they taste bad and the worse part is the sensitivity.
9:21 am
that. they dehydrate your enamel. this step in the stress not only removes the stain but hydrates and moisturizes your enamel. and that leads to the biggest advantage of the product. minimal to no sensitivity. >> with the other ones getting rid of the enamel, you can't get it back. >> no, you can't. >> once it's gone it's gone. >> this keeps it moisture -- i liken it to doing your own laundr if you did, if you put your whites in, okay, and say you didn't put your detergent in. what would it do to your whites? >> it would not be a good look. >> they would be dried out, nasty, wouldn't be good. that's what you're doing to your teeth. that's why you get that paint on your teeth. they don't use that detergent base much you put your detergent in, get them smelling good. we're removing stains, hydrating the enamel. after that two minutes we're going to whiten.
9:22 am
>> this is the whiten. >> this is the whiten. and it's only two minutes. this is like your pseudo bleach, and the great thing about this, shawn, this is like -- this is called the my peroxide, a much less harsh peroxide than in other products, so that adds to the minimal or to no sensitivity. >> we're taking a look at many so results right now. >> that's the chart after one use, which i'm doing now. that's two shades whiter. and this is a party you are get in there. get all the solution. >> you don't have to share your powerswabs. there's plenty to go around. >> i was blessed with white teeth, but i had a problem tooth that was a little off color. >> i had the same thing, almost worse than having all bad. >> because of the swab you can focus on that one area to get it to the same shade of white as your other teeth. that's it. less than five minutes, two shades whiter.
9:23 am
unheard of. >> that's fantastic. and here is thing. i think people are watching or they're like we'll take a look at the color chart. is that what's going to happen for me? >> it's like anything else. if someone is 300 pounds they work out they're going to see much bigger results than someone who needs to lose five pounds but it will work. >> is it a one in ten deal? >> it works on jeer one. another point i want to bring up, why this product is so popularity lifts the stains o you can attest to this, because when you get the procedure done it looks great. >> of course. >> over time people will tell you -- it's the stain, it gets stained. you're told there's nothing they can do about it unless you want to invest another seven to $10,000. this will restore them to the originaller enclose. it's amazing, and people -- a lot of the hosts have veneers, caps, crowns for the am a and
9:24 am

more than 24 million americans suffer from nerve damage, and although it's more common among older adults it can happen at any age. our next guest offers a nonsurgical, noninvasive drug free therapy to treat peripheral neuropathy. >> better you to say it than me. he is the author of a new book, dr. joshua purcell, clinical director of active life and health here to talk to us about it. it's great having you.
9:36 am
>> it's an amazing process to go through. >> let's talk -- peripheral neuropathy. >> very good. >> thank you very much. what causes this type of damage? >> well, there is a lot of different causes for peripheral neuropathy. most common what we see would be from diabetes, chemotherapy treatment, cardiovascular disease. those are agent orange exposure. >> oh, wow. >> those are the most common cases that we see in the office. >> what symptoms are we talking about? because i know sometimes it can be a numbing or tingling in extremities. tell me what the most common one is. >> numbness and tingling in the arms, feets, hands and legs. burning sensation, freezing sensation. and then, of course, the biggest issue is people start to lose their balance. and then we know what happens when they lose their balance. that's when the falls happen. that's when they break bones and it can get really bad. >> we don't want that.
9:37 am
drugged up or i'm going to have to go under the knife. you're offering a noninvasive drug free program to reserve the damage. >> we know that the medical drug cocktail approach is failing more. drugs and surgery. the patients i have come in every day, every week, that have been through that program, and they're in the middle of that program. they're taking the drugs and just on the waiting list for the surgery, but they're getting worse. and they're not happy. their symptoms are still showing up every day. we offer a where it's natural solution. that's what the book is about. natural neuropathy solutions. we utilize laser light therapy. we utilize -- that's going to help blood flow. we also use the same technology they use in cancer centers of america, where they treat patients that have damage to their nerves from chemotherapy. we know that chemotherapy kills cancer, but it also destroys everything else. we use this device to help
9:38 am
we also have stuff to help inflammation get out of the body. we know inflammation causes pain. we have a supplement line that is really centered around a nobel prize effort. >> so all the things involved in this program, one of the results can be that the nerve damage actually is reversed? >> yeah, so let me give you an analogy. imagine a plant that is almost dead. okay. >> i've had a few of >> so if you have the plant that's almost dead, we're going to give it water. we're going to give it sunlight, nutrients. we're going to make sure it has good soil, nothing toxic in the soil. it's a living organism, so if we give it what it needs, and we get the toxins out, things that are killing it, we're going to help that. >> absolutely. better than trying to splice open the leaf and put in metal rebar to prop it up.
9:39 am
>> nutrients. >> yes. not -- that's a joke for people that saw -- so let's talk peripheral neuropathy. is this -- >> went right over my head. >> is this for everybody that has peripheral neuropathy or is it just a select few? >> i wish i could say i help every patient that walks in the door. there is a lot of reasons why we can't in some cases but let me go back to the analogy of the plant. if you give me a plant nearly dead, i can give it water. i can give i i can give it nutrients. sometimes patients have just waited until their health is completely deteriorated. so we can't -- the earlier the better. if you have any of those symptoms, get checked right away, because the quicker we catch it the better result we'll have in helping it heal and faster. >> interesting. you have a special this morning for the viewers who are watching. >> yes, we do. so the -- we like to invite
9:40 am
you can call and get scheduled for that. and also going to give the first 25 people that come in a free copy of the book natural neuropathy solutions. >> why do you think some doctors end up defaulting to surgery medicine? >> well, you know, a lot of them that's what they're trained to do. they're trained, you can take the prescription pad away there's not a whole lot to offer. we know that the lyric, the typical cocktail approach they throw do i have so many patients that go back to their doctor and all they do is get the dose doubled, doubled, but not fixing them. but the time they show up in my office a lot are desperate. they don't know of any options that they can do to treat it naturally. i'm excited about this program. we've had really great success. here is another thing that is important. most of this program can be done at home. so a lot of it -- the patients don't have to come and see me
9:41 am
we see patients all over the valley because i don't have to see them in the office constantly. >> that's great to let people know there is another option out there. great having you. first 25 callers receive that free admission of dr. purcell's next upcoming peripheral neuropathy reversal seminar, a copy of the free book -- free copy of the book. >> if you would like to know more, contact active life health and wellness. the number and website are up on your screen and they are also on facebook and >> do you know someone who truly makes a difference in the community? you can recognize them with the 50 back award. >> head to vegasmorningblend.com. fill out the form. one lucky person will receive $500 from america first credit
9:44 am
a few days before thanksgiving a convoy of hope will roll into las vegas. >> from free haircuts to health screening to day of hope will spread hope through our community. and here to get us involved is pastor randall from champion center church. great having you. convoy of hope, what is that? >> convoy of hope is actually a disaster relief organization from missouri, and they do the community events all over the world, and we have done two in the past two years, and this is the third one that our church is hosting, so it's a cool event where the whole community gets together, so churches, businesses, organizations, and they -- we try to bring people hope. so that's what we're doing. >> amazing event. speaking of people coming together, you have thousands of volunteers. >> we do. >> tell me about the event, and the massive group of people that are going to be involved.
9:45 am
anyone who comes gets groceries, they'll get a hot thanksgiving meal. they can get shoes for their kids. there is a whole kid zone where you can just have fun with your family. there is going to be a job fair. there's medical screening. it's just everything, if you have a need it's going to be met there. and it ends with prayer. so it's just a really cool event. and so we have so many people onboard, different partners throughout the community. we couldn't do it by ourselves, obviously. and we have three square onboard. the rescue mission is private 150, sox radio been pumping the event. >> take a look at video. >> it's cool. last year we had 2,000 volunteers. >> 2,000 volunteers? >> yeah. we had 10,000 guests last year. >> seriously? >> it's like a big -- i can only describe it as like a carnival, but you get to leave with i a bunch of stuff that you didn't come in with. >> a carnival of hope. can anybody come? >> anybody can come. if you're in need, you come. you don't have to bring an id.
9:46 am

embassy suites you get the big, free cook to order breakfast, which is a huge money saver. at home wood suites they have a free breakfast and they have a kitchen, and they have a complimentary grocery shopping service so you can do cooking in your hotel room. and so i would recommend basically all suites because you have extra space, gives everyone more room to spread out. >> that's probably a good idea and that will stop maybe that arguing with your family. take the edge off. if you're crossing time zones, like i end up doing, i cross three time zones, i'm so jet lagged by the time i get there how do you get enough sleep so you don't have that crash? >> you know, that's really important. and what i would suggest is for those occasional bouts of sleeplessness you might want to bring along zyquil.
